Control during the startup switch

I want to use an application of touch screen on a laptop. The laptop can lead the screen after activating with the F8 function key. How can I automate this as I don't have access to the keyboard or the mouse, just a touch screen. I'm looking for a batch file which autoexecutes during boot

Not everything that requires pressing the FN key on the keyboard can be automated because the operating system cannot detect this button (it is a hardware only affecting the manufacturer codes).

  • Satellite P305D - different error during the startup sequence

Hi I have a constant problem I have no idea how fix it. I have Windows Vista Home premium loaded and it works very well when it is running. I can restart the laptop several times and it starts perfectly, if I turn it off for an hour or two and go to start it always happens with a different error during the startup sequence. Most of the time I just go to start Windows normally and it loads, other times I have to go to the ERD.

I uninstalled Vista and wipe the system well before reloading (using another drive) and the same thing happens. Would it be more likely to be hardware related? I know the battery charges well and I ran all the tools that Vista has to check the hard drive, so I don't know where to go next.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Terry

    Hello

Can you please post what errors you get during the boot process?

In my opinion it could be a hardware problem, because you have already tried to reinstall Vista, so I doubt that the error is software related.
Strange, but it might be a problem of RAM or HARD disk. The two parties, you can test it with Memtest86 and Drive Fitness Test. Google is your friend to find these two tools.

In the worst cases, you must go to an authorized service provider. Technicians can check the entire notebook.

  • NTOSKRNL.exe problem during the startup of windows xp on a dv5000i Pavilion

    Hi all!

    I have a Pavillion dv5000i

I get an error message mentioning a NTOSKRNL. Order EXE corrupt during the startup of windows xp.

I can't boot from a disc XP system either.

Could this be a HW problem?

I've extracted the original HD and put it in a usb interface

I can read it without problem with another PC (so the HD should not be the problem)

    Thank you all

    Kind regards

    Gino

NTOSKRNL is a software, and it must be there for the machine to start.  The recovery discs should fix this.

I'm banging my head against the wall, trying to figure out why my AIR-AP1262N-A-K9 will start all the way. He'll get all the way to initiate interfaces and stop. I can never get to control the CLI. This is my first time with a cisco ap but everything I read it very easy sewing.

This unit from what I understand will work on its own with no controller. Therefore, it is called a "stand-alone" model Yet he seems to be looking for something to complete during the boot. Below the out put for starting. The last line is where it stops.

  • Windows XP Pro can't find HD during the startup of the CD process.

Lately, when my computer starts, it began to automatically run the disk check process. During the process, several files are either deleted or recovered. It's embarrassing so I tried to repair Windows XP Pro OS. The problem is that Windows does not detect the drives. I tried the ASR system, the R option to repair, and continues even with the start of the CD but Windows reports it cannot locate my hard drives. My motherboard is GA-81955 X Royal Gigibyte with 2 IDE hard drives of 40G and 2 DVD/CD players. Thanks for any help.

The problem is in the AVG Antivirus software that I had to uninstall and remove all references to it in the registry. With no antivirus on the computer software, everything worked fine.

Then, recently, there was an automatic update of Windows that enamored System32 of the computer records. Due the Gigibyte motherboard and how second HDD and DVD/CD player were to be installed to operate Windows has not found any drive C.

To get the C drive to work again I had to remove it and install it in another computer as a slave drive XP then manually restore the files of System32. The restored files are not the same that have caused other problems. I tried to reinstall only the C drive and 1 DVD/CD drive but windows still not able to perform automatic recovery. Spent several weeks to correct the problems and reinstalling the software.

The best solution would have been to reformat the C drive and reinstall the software, but I didn't know if I had backed up all my data.

  • Blue screen during the startup or shutdown

I have windows vista home premium.sometimes during startup or during shutdown, a blue screen appears for a very short time and the restarts.from of the computer, what I have seen during this short period his written dumping physical memory, etc as something is written on my BIOS.do I need to update my BIOS version or is there any other problem? Please answer soon.thanks.

You can download the contents of the c:\windows\minidump on SkyDrive and provide a link?

Consider the following general guidelines for dealing with bluescreens.

Consider running chkdsk on all partitions.  Leave complete chkdsk on each partition and see if that helps.

    Also consider running SFC/scannow.

If you start in safe mode, do you still feel bugs? What if you do a clean boot, or boot device?

Consider the memory with memtest86 or Windows Memory Diagnostic test. Note that memory that pass the tests isn't necessarily good memory - he not only failed a review.  Examine systematically to eliminate the system RAM - run with a few modules for awhile and see how things are going. Then try the other modules.

Other common suggestions include ensuring drivers are up to date, but also to ensure that you use the latest version of the BIOS.

It may be useful to use the driver verifier.  To activate the... Driver Verifier start-> verifier.exe-> OK-> create standard settings-> next-> driver select the names to a list-> next-> sort by provider-> select all other Microsoft drivers-> finish and OK your way out of the dialog box.

Then restart and use the system as you normally and wait for a problem.  In case the system does not completely start after activation of the Verifier, boot mode safe and run driver verifier and tell him to remove the changes.

Wait for a bugcheck occurs after you have enabled the auditor as described, and then download the dump on your SkyDrive and provide a link.

  • Getting the error "System 5 error has occurred" during the startup of service SQL in Windows 7.

I'm restarting SQL server, what I used to do via the following command line:

    net stop mssqlserver
    net start mssqlserver

However, I am on a new Windows 7 machine and I get the following error when I try:

    net start mssqlserver
    System 5 error has occurred.

    Access is denied.

My account is a member of the administrator group, and I can restart normally through the Services Control Panel.  I have tried to turn the UAC settings all the way down, but still this message.

(This also fails if I try to use PowerShell.)

What should I do to be able to restart the services via the command line?

    Thank you
    -Peter

I had exactly the same problem:

    1. new installation of windows 7
    2. net start MSSQLSERVER fails with "Access denied" from the command window, but works at the start of Service Control Manager
    3. connected as a user of Directors of the Group - same account used for the automatic start
    4. I tried the above steps to register. They do not work.
    5. I tried to settle my UAC account at the lowest possible level, as recommended in another forum. It also did not work.
I was amazed by the number of desperate people with similar problems - and apparently some resolutions there. I've used Windows 3.1, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP a few years back and then switch to Mac OS X and Linux. Now, I'm hard to get used to this kind of problem again, (sigh) Windows.
In any case, one of my colleagues just came and gave me an easy solution. He said that the problem is that your user 'administrator' is not ' administrator enough "-go figure. In fact, being in the Administrators group is not the same as being THE administrator account.
    1. create a shortcut to 'cmd.exe' on your desktop.
    2. click right on the shortcut and select "run as Administrator".
    3. in the command window that opens, "net start MSSQLSERVER" works
Good. So now I can go on this restart-SQL-Server-when-it-decides-to-die script for our customer site. Another sad story of Microsoft...
  • M90 display garbage during the startup video

    Hello

My M90 has recently started with vertical display in green dots and green blocks during startup. First of all, this problem occurred while I was repairing XP Pro.

I managed to complete a repair XP and for a while, everything was fine but the next day I had the rear lines and I can only boot mode safe now. In normal mode, the screen is black.

I have about 20 GB free on a 60 GB drive.

  • Updates for Windows 7 cause PC to hang during the startup or reboot

I had trouble with the latest updates for Windows 7 on my 64-bit computer.  Whenever I have install the PC does not restart.  I had to restore twice.  Updates are KB2284742, KB2388210 and KB2434419.  I had Avast on my computer and now deleted and installed McAfee.  I also tried Lavasoft Ad-aware, but he's also gone now.  Prior to the first installation of this update, he's failed several times.  Finally, I followed someone's suggestion to rename catroot2 to catroot3.  This allowed the installation works.  I scanned for virus and McAfee says that there is not.  Lavasoft had said there was an and it has been deleted, but since I restored it twice, I'm not sure if it's still there.  I'm reluctant to try to load Lavasoft once again, like the elimination of the virus is what started the problem of PC with reset.  I suspect that what they thought was that a "virus" was not.  Now that I am restored to before the update my PC very well is rinning, but of course, I keep getting reminded that I have 3 critical updates to run.  I am not advanced a user so am at a loss, can I ignore updates and try to continue to work without them?

    Hello

You can try to manually install the update one and check what is happening. Download the updates from the link given below using the KB numbers.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

Note: Before installing each of the updates, configure the computer to clean start so that none of the third-party application interferes with the installation process.

Tried to install (OJ_AIO_J4500_Full_Win_WW_140_404 - 4.exe) according to the HP support page is the correct installation of installation Officejet J4540 on Windows 10.  Printer was working fine when I was on Windows 7 and I have upgraded to Windows 10 and of course the printer did not work.  A ran all HP recommended programs and never can get this printer is installed.  Installation always stalls at the "checking system".  He never goes to the 'preparation for the Installation System' and 'Install Software' and 'configure the product.  Don't ever go to this and I let it run for hours without success.  I uninstalled all HP and tried to re - install on 10 to win without success.  Lost a ton of time on it... Please give me a proven QA had the solution... Thank you!!

    Hello
Follow the steps below and check if it solves the problem:

1 open the Mcafee Virus and Spyware Protection software you are interested in, click on calendar and perform analyses. Click analysis in real time, and then click stop. Select until I restart the PC and confirm by clicking the button turn off.

If you have any other security software, be sure to disable any real-time Protection during installation.

Now, try to reinstall the HP software and check if the installation goes as planned.

If the problem persists, run the following tool:
    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/Printers/datfileremover/installdatfileclean.exe

  • crcdisk.sys interruption during the startup of Vista Basic on an E-machine

    Backround:

I worked on this machine for about a week.  I'm sure it's a softeware and not a problem with the hardware to 90%.  I ran Startup Repair and corrects a problem with startups rehearsal where the machine would be blocking and I had to cut the power to restart the machine.  (By the way, the disk image I created with my machine for system recovery XP works fine but ultimately that the machine always stops before leaving).

I don't think that the file crcdisk.sys is the problem.  I think it's loading the driver after that, but I knew how to say that whoever is.  I didn't go to c:/windows/system32/drivers and all files replaced by files from the backup of the system part and once again had the same problem.  The next thing I plan to do is to replace the directory with that of another Vista machine, but I did not understand how to get the files from one computer to another.

Also, while searching with the command prompt, I discovered a number of files and directories that are as of 01/01/2029 to 03/01/2029.  It seems that some of these files are used, but I can't say to what extent.  I would also like to know where they came from since I never changed the date on this machine.  This difference in date might be part of the problem.

The machine is preinstalled and I have no starup disk.  I tried to create with my other Vista machine, but he does not like my records.  Depending on the machine, they should be DVD/R, which is what I have.  Can what I missed and if I manage to create discs I use it on this computer to format and reinstall?

Thanks in advance for your answer.

Recovery discs are made for an individual, make and model computer.

For any questions/problems re eMachines recovery process, contact eMachines to the link above.

This isn't their recovery process, Microsoft.

Contact eMachines and ask them to send you a set of recovery Vista disc/s.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

    See you soon.
