  I suggest you send to the factory, or if you have an apple authorized dealer / repair shop to fix the SHIFT key first, then a glance as to why the fan is still running hot.

  Maybe something has damaged the keyboard (shift key) area and also the fan internal.

  You can't have something special on the computer, but I'd always spend extra money to repair.

  The sooner, the better.

  It is not easy to believe that the network adapter does not work on your laptop. What is the status of LAN in Device Manager?   You mentioned in your original post that you have set up a homegroup.  Unfortunately, VISTA is NOT compatible to work in a residential setting.  The only way you can add to a network is to create the normal type of the Working Group (Home Network) network.  I hope this helps.  Get back to me if you need help.

  Dell U3014 comes with HDMI output and you should be able to connect with the PS3 to play games. However, you will need to connect external speakers to "Audio output" to get the sound output as there are no internal speakers in U3014. The monitor is capable of resolutions up to 2560 x 1600 and should be able to play Blu - ray videos without any hassles.
