I can't get Firefox saves one of my passwords.

(Hope I got the good category selected)
I recently lost my old HD and am just reinstall on a new HD. I managed to import all of my favorites, but my lost passwords. Not a big deal, I thought, I'll just Firefox save them one by one as I run across them on my sites.

Yet, I can not Firefox saves one of my passwords.
Whenever I log in, it isn't promp the question to save or discard a password, even if I set Firefox to remember the password and there is no given exceptioned sites.

My privacy settings are never remember my history and delete cookies and other when I close firefox.
On the Security tab, I have the option to remember passwords enabled. Any given exception.

How can I fix it?

You enter private browsing mode, if you select: Tools > Options > privacy > History: Firefox will be: "don't forget the story ever.

Firefox does not store new passwords if you're in private browsing mode, but the already saved passwords are accessible. You must leave the PB mode if you want to register a new password.
