I can't get my canon i860 printer to connect to a windows machine 7

I can't get my canon i860 printer work with windows 7.  It is therefore not specified in the menu devices and printers.  I downloaded the driver from canon and installed.  It did not work.  Windows troubleshooting utility could not find the driver either, even after activation of windows automatically download the drivers.  Any help would be appreciated!

Hello

Were there any changes made on the computer before the show?

I you suggest to remove all instances of the printer and then try to install it.

To remove printer drivers:

a. click Start, type print management in the search box, and then click print management.

b. open print management.

(c) in the left pane, click print servers, click the applicable print server and then click Printers.

d. in the center pane, right-click on the printers that use the driver that you want to remove or change the driver that is used by each printer to another driver.

e. in the left pane, click print servers, click the applicable print server and then click drivers.

f. in the pane, right click on the driver and do one of the following:

·         To delete only the installed driver files, click Remove.

·         To remove the driver package from the driver store, completely removing the driver from the computer, click delete the Package driver.
