What is the origin of Chinese characters appear in the toolbar?

Should have said 'Active bar'. To previous missions, I'm not the only one with the problem. Is anyone received a response from Mozilla?

Hello, the problem is caused by the extension of Advisor to mcafee site - please try to disable or remove that in case you have present.

  • Chinese characters appear from nowhere, then using find and replace in dreamweaver

It is a strange, Chinese characters appear from nowhere, then using find and replace (in the folder) in dreamweaver. the replacement text is Chinese characters on the open document, others are ok

Sounds like the Configuration of your entire file is damaged.

Rename your folder Dreamweaver MX\Configuration Old_Configuration.

When you restart Dreamweaver, it will create a new Configuration file for you.

  • What are the toolbars? I can't use the browser without them.

The old toolbar at the top is now gone. I lost the print, preview mode although there are another way to print. I can't use bookmarks because it allows me to not put the bookmark in the right place. It is not an improvement; It is a net loss, and it's huge.

Have you recently used refresh? Which will make your toolbars reset to the default values, but you can certainly customize again.

    Menu bar

You can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select menu bar it:

    Print Preview

The print button in the application menu, called by the menu button "3-bar" refers to actually print-preview. But also, you can have the menu bar back.

    Bookmark this Page

To display the menu "Add bookmark" and the location in the menu bookmark instead of bookmarks unsorted by default, you can use one of these methods:

    • CTRL + d
    • Right click on the page > icon star in the context menu
    • (menu bar) Bookmarks > bookmark this Page

Basically, it's just the Star "one-click" key which also behaves. Some users double-click it to display the bookmark pane change immediately.

  • Is there a fix for when the Chinese characters appear to "take back" the menu bar (s)?

Periodically, I notice that the menu bar was "taken over" by these characters, making the navigation and use of the functions difficult or impossible. Close the program and then by reopening sometimes solves this problem for a while, but then it happens again. I think I have the latest version of 38.2.0.

It could be anything McAfee... It was a very problematic piece of software for a few years. See https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird: test: Antivirus_Related_Performance_Issues #McAfee

  • Only a few Chinese characters appear as a rectangular box

    Hi all

I use Windows 7 Enterprise SP1. When I boot my system and first of all use the browser chrome and access Hotmail /asana websites, it's corrupt fonts and

only a few Chinese fonts for some characters (not for all) are displayed as rectangular boxes and also sometimes only for "BOLD" fonts, it is coming as rectangles.

If I copy the Chinese text into wordpad and choose a font as SimSun, Arial Unicode it may appear correctly, but for default windows 7 police segoe UI and other fonts like Microsoft without serif, it shows rectangles for a part only of the characters. It is very annoying and a serious problem for usage.  In this case whatever settings system locale.

Could you let us know that Microsoft has already given solution to avoid this kind of corruption

I don't know if my system or the version of Firefox has been hijacked, or if it's an add-on that allows an intrusion. Well - really - I don't know what is happening.

    Any ideas?

  • For some sites, all the contents of the page are completely replaced with strings not formatted of Chinese characters

I recently visited a Chinese social media Web site. Since then, many sites does appear as pages very, very long time Chinese characters. If I look at the page source, it's just a string of characters some very, very long time. It is not all sites, but it's a lot and apparently randomly. This problem only affects Firefox – the sites load properly in Chrome.

I tried to empty the cache, but has not made a difference. I deleted all cookies, but no luck. This seems to be different from all other 'random Chinese characters' problems, but I wonder if anyone has come across this before. Seriously, I don't know what is happening. As I said - only affects Firefox, although I visited the Chinese site with Firefox and Chrome.

Please read this article to see if it helps. The Chinese site might have changed somehow your character encoding settings and it didn't come back to your original one:

  • How to make windows XP SP3 display Chinese characters correctly in the programs?

I am running Windows XP SP3 and I need Chinese language to view a program. (in Windows 2000 it displays very well) I installed East Asian language packs and the Chinese buttons now display gibberish. Y at - it installation work best for the language to Chinese? I went in the section advanced and made sure everything I checked options Chinese had it but still the same... I followed the links to "install files for East Asian without CD-ROM.
http://forums.techarena.in/Windows-XP-support/873146.htm"but that doesn't give me what I have on XP SP3 ORIGINAL CD. Y at - it a fix for this or is the police by default for windows is not compatible with the Chinese language?

Please help and if you could not mark as 'responded' unless you actually answer my question.

Just in case where U ignored my above features:
    Windows XP with SP3.
Already installed the files for East Asian CD and download.
At the default font on the desktop.

Ok... I thought about it, you must set your "format" in the regional settings in the option "Chinese (simplified, PRC) ' for the installed language pack to work for Chinese characters. My programs now display the correct characters. I imagine that by selecting the right 'Format' to use will help out with all the other languages also.

FYI: I had to do that very thing on a machine Windows 7 has not been posted by the correct characters. I fixed it the same way :-)

  • Cannot copy the TTF Chinese characters

    Hi all

I am facing a problem to copy Chinese characters in True Type fonts (DF-HeiW5-A and DF-SongW3-A). When I copy and paste, the texts become symbols not identified.

The work file is an InDesign file and the PDF is generated using a postscript via Acrobat Distiller 9.2 file.

I noticed that the problem occurs because the original fonts have been replaced somehow into one with the additional 'GBK-EUC-H' extension I don't know how this happens, but I suspect that it is in the process of distillation.

When I open the PDF file and use the Touchup text tool, a warning appears: "since the original font is not available, a font substituted for editing is used." Police edition will be the same font as in InDesign (without the extension). And then only I can copy Chinese characters in editing mode.

I tried searching the Internet for answers and I found that the 'GBK-EUC-H' extension means that it is missing a CMAP? Also, I noticed that in the built-in Acrobat Distiller font source, the two fonts mentioned are not found. Any ideas why these two fonts are not available? Is it possible to add manually in the source of police to distill?

    Thank you very much.

My 12 Firefox displays message of Joyce Hong as a large space empty unless I click on "Print-Preview view" among the Actions listed to the right.  Others see his message, or my response?

On the question to get the good Chinese codes entering and leaving a PDF, why not not generate PDF files by direct export from InDesign?  Distiller is not nearly as sophisticated when it comes to managing modern fonts.
