I can't install Windows 7 from a USB boot

Greetings! I tried to boot Windows 7 from a Flash DRIVE to a computer with a rather lame GNU/Linux based OS called Canaima 4.0, but when I did, a screen with this text appeared:

SYSLINUX 4.07 ESD 2013-07-25 Copyright (C) 1994-2013 h. Peter Anvin et al. No. DEFAULT or the found configuration user interface! Start: _

The specifications of the system are:

Intel Celeron CPU 1.46 GHz/1 MB N2805
2 GB DDR3 RAM
HARD DRIVE 320 GB 2.5 "SATA
In addition, is 32-bit

The computer is a copy of Venezuelan-Chinese of the HP EF10MI2.

What can I do maybe? I really want to change the operating system on this computer, any solution will be greatly appreciated!

Step 1: configure your BIOS to boot from the USB key:

  • How can I install Windows 8 on a USB?

I downloaded and installed Windows 8 on a virtual machine, and virtual machine software refuses to let go of my 3D display driver, not allowing not my laptop switch to 3D mode (has a 3d screen) until after I reload.

How can I install Windows 8 on a USB key, that way I can start directly in this USB?

When I run Setup of the computer windows 7, it wants to install Windows just 8 and does not have the ability to install on USB. When I run the Setup program on Windows 8 VM, he just wants to do the same, install Win8 on the virtual machine and does not give the option to choose a disk to install on.

I can make the USB bootable and have put the image ISO of Windows 8 on it, and start since that does not allow me to install on the USB stick (player 1, it only shows drive C: (disk 0) on the laptop).

I would like to have windows 8 bootable from the USB key, so it wouldn't mess up my windows 7 current computer until I can get everything fully backed up and have more time to play with it.

You can not, Windows 8 must be installed on an internal hard drive attached. Only Windows 8 Enterprise supports Windows To Go that allows you to create a portable copy of Windows 8 on a USB key. Windows 8 Enterprise Edition is only available to volume license customers.

  • Workstation HP Z240 Tower: can I install Windows 7 from scratch?

    Greetings!

The operating system on my computer is actually win 10 Pro demoted to Win 7 Pro. I want to know if I can install from scratch Windows 7 in my computer using the Windows 7 disc with the computer.

I was told, the operating system is Windows 10 but it uses an interface of Windows 7. I don't understand the need for this complication. If you can just install Windows 7, so why use an interface? Maybe this computer only works with Windows 10?

What are you trying to do, as you say that you are already using Windows 7?

I do not understand your question about "interface."

The GUI (graphical user Interface) for Windows 10 incorporates most of the features of the GUI for Windows 7 and also of the GUI Windows 8/8.1.

    See: http://www8.hp.com/ca/en/products/workstations/product-detail.html?oid=8354563#! = form tab

    Your computer was preinstalled with:

Windows 7 Professional 64 (available through 10 Pro 64 Windows downgrade rights)

and also comes with a license and support for Windows 10 Pro software.

My recommendation: given that Microsoft will stop supporting Windows 7 in January 2020 - a short period of absence - install Windows 10 to get security-updates for your computer now and after January 2020.

Suggestion: if you have a "spare" disk drive, disconnect your current hard drive, connect the 'spare' and try to use this support for Windows 7 to install Windows.  That should answer your question about "can I install...". ».

  • Can I install Windows XP from an ISO pirate legally if I have another computer with a product key?

Hello. I have a moment Dell Optiplex SX280 provided with Windows XP Professional (and product key) does not. I also have a broken (probably irreparably) Dell dimension 8400 supplied with Windows XP Edition family (with a key). Because I have these keys, it would be legal to install Windows XP (a pirated version) on my laptop Compaq Presario CQ42 that at first run Windows 7? I would appreciate a response.

    Thank you.

(Attention that I am not a supporter of piracy)

    The answer is no.

  • Can I install Windows 10 on external USB SSD?

Is it possible to install Windows (10) on a 3.0 SSD external? Bootcamp will allow me to select an external USB disk for installation of windows? I can't check myself right now because im currently waiting on a new SSD in the mail. It is possible, if difficult how is it?

    Thank you all

Manager licensing Windows supports external drives under Windows Enterprise using Windows-to-Go. You can use a third-party software like Winclone or CampTune Clonezilla to move an image.

Depending on the connection to the external drive, it may or may not work.

  • having the 1935 error code and can not install windows vista from my recovery disc

I have a recurring error when trying to install all programs (Error 1935).

and have reinstalled windows using my vista full 23 bits and when installing any program, even a basic program I get the error code 1935. I have a recovery disk, but I don't know how to start to charge and use the recovery disc supplied with my PC
can someone help please because I am a beginner

    Thank you very much
    Dave

Each manufacturer is different things about the recovery partition.  You need to contact the computer manufacturer (online - they can publish procedures - or by telephone) for instructions on how to use the recovery disk (there are probably a combination of special keys at boot that activates the process).  Keep in mind that this type of resettlement will completely eliminate your primary system partition, so don't forget to backup your important data until you try it.

Here is an article on the 1935 error and solution to fix it.  Maybe this will help (he has a little advanced, but so is the problem then do your best to fight the operating instructions).  http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2004/11/10/255346.aspx.

    I hope this helps.

  • Restore to factory state out of the box. Can I install all updates from Microsoft using Windows update or can I install antivirus first before to connect to internet?

Restore to factory state out of the box. Can I install all updates from Microsoft using Windows update or can I install antivirus first before to connect to internet?

Currently Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 x 86 (no patches since 2008). Currently, it has no AV and has not been connected to the internet yet. It will be behind a router.

I had to redo the factory already reset after be connected to the net for 20 minutes and then a bunch of programs kept crashing saying Data Execution Prevention had to close the program StackHash and BEX error when executing update for HP drivers.

Maybe I installed Kaspersky first next time?

    What should I do?

    Thank you!

No problem. Install the updates. You can install the anti-virus later.

Just don't start browsing the inet by updating.

  • is shaded a d I canProblems installation of windows to date get the error code 80070490, tried to install windows vista from DVD upgrade areanot upgrade I can do?

Windows update installation problems get code error 80070490, tried to install windows vista from DVD of the upgrade box is greyed out and I can't upgrade, any advise?

    Hi, Eve,.

First run the preparation tool system update for your version of Windows.

Start > right click on computer

    Select Properties

Under system > Type system, you will see the 32 - bit or 64-bit system

    Download the tool for your system (x 86 is 32-bit, x 64 is 64-bit)

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947821

When finished, restart the update.  If the update fails, you will need to repair Windows.

Your DVD says recovery?  This is the DVD, you will need to reinstall or repair Windows.

What is the make and model of your computer.  The manufacturers provide a Recovery Utility in many cases.

Ex: HP provides a Recovery Manager for their computers

It is found by clicking Start > all programs > PC Help & Tools

    Click on Recovery Manager

Follow the prompts on the screen to repair your computer
