  Connect using ethernet or wifi, not both.  If you haven't already done so, restart the router and the computer.  Yes, you may have to restart the router even if other devices are working properly.  If you use DHCP (auto configured IP address) the router might still have an old IP address assigned to the MAC address of your network card.  The MAC address is the router knows what IP address to route the data to.  Also verify that you have an IP address valid in system-> network preferences.  If the IP address of the router is 192.168.0.1 then the IP of your computer should be 192.168.0.xxx.  If you have a valid IP address, open the terminal and type "ping router_ip_address".

  # ping 192.168.0.1

  If you don't have a valid IP address after you restart the router and the computer, remove the network interface in system-> network preferences and then add it again.

  In network and sharing Center under manage network connections I have only the ability to connect via wireless (which works fine), the connection to the Local network is not there.

  I use a Packard Bell laptop and you connect via my PCI-E NIC Realtek RTL8192SE Wireless LAN 802.11n chip. As the title says, my network connection drops every hour 1-5 or so and once that he can't not reconnect until I have reset the router (superhub Virgin Media).   Looks like you are using a wired and not wireless. When your connection drops, you lose your link light? If the link light is on, I'd want to reinstall the NIC driver or maybe reimage the laptop. If the link light is disabled, I would look on the side material more closely. Are laptops that work the same model?

  3. We can now use NBTSTAT to get the NetBIOS (friendly) of duplicate computer name by typing the following at the command prompt:
     NBTSTAT-A 129.0.0.1

     You should get a response back with the NetBIOS name of the computer. This NetBIOS name to determine who is the owner of the computer so that you can locate it on your network.

In css, I set img {max-width: 100% ;} and this would make the jpg file size automatically to fit the area they were in, but no more than Mozilla really screwed up this with updated 34.0.5.} My site still works fine with IE and Chrome, but 70% of my web traffic using firefox so I would really like this to work in firefox.
