Greetings - I'm working on a movie maker project. I downloaded various video clips tube in u (in FLV format), converted to use U-Tube downloader WMV format and placed on my table of Storyboard. He looks good and the sound and image (on the small screen) are OK. However, when I finished my project and proceed to save any thing like a movie I'm umable to do. The file is about 13 minutes long, so it's a big file. The dialog box indicates (summary in my own words) '... ". Please check the location of the files and if there is enough memory, etc. "In any case, about 72 percent of the way, he stops to record and so I am unable to finish my project. Title: Windows original Photo Gallery and Windows Movie Maker
Windows Movie Maker and windows photo gallery. picture of Windows live and Windows Live Movie Maker. What is the difference between these programs and who is better and easier to work with?
The answer is all one could expect from a "Microsoft Support Engineer". "." It is not an answer, it is a lazy response that obscures the issue. Who the * wants to sit here by clicking on the reference links? Try to take the time to answer the question correctly and clearly. The fact is that Windows Movie Maker, despite its flaws, is logical and easy to learn. Windows Live Movie Maker is the product of developers geeks trying to justify their work by producing a piece of absurd confusion that would be considered to be an 'upgrade' because it seems different from its predecessor. The fact is that Windows Movie Maker is MORE like film professional software publisher of Live Movie Maker, which is just no unwanted standard which is more like a project of diploma a graduate programmer. Movie Maker design allowed me to make the easy transition to the most advanced professional software, but this can never be achieved with the Windows Live Movie Maker, which is ridiculously long as stupid as his name.

Welcome to the Microsoft answers site(A). the utility use Windows install cleanup to remove Windows live Director and then restart the computer.
Description of the Windows Installer Cleanup utility
A link to the below information and to download:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/290301
When you are working on your computer and install a new program, the installation suddenly fails. Now, you're left with a partly installed program. You try to install the program again, but you're unsuccessful. Or, maybe you have problems trying to remove an old program because the installation files are damaged.Do not worry. Windows Installer Cleanup Utility may be able to help. You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer Cleanup Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.
B. put the computer in a clean boot, and then install it on the computer by downloading.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts. Boot stops interference with other third-party software on the computer.
Steps to perform the clean boot:
1. click on start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
3. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click Disable all.
5. click on OK.
6. When you are prompted, click on restart.
7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.Reference link.
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
On the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

I can't uninstall/reinstall Windows Live Movie Maker and photo gallery!
Well, I need recently the Movie Maker for editing stuff. I looked at theStart > all programs list but is not there. Yet once I downloaded the Windows Live Essentials, but it says I already have Windows Movie Maker on my computer. The thing is that I can't find anywhere on my computer (or maybe it's there, I just don't know how to find it). I also tried opening appwiz.cpl and checked Windows Movie Maker and photo gallery, but the entries are not there. So I can't proceed with the following steps in Microsoft Help Tutorials.
If anyone can help me uninstall/reinstall the Movie Maker? Step by step, perhaps?
Thank you!

. Treated AVI as Audio in Movie Maker and corrupt in Windows DVD Maker.
I have a lot of. AVI files I want to burn to a DVD. I do not have another series of. Notice to try with these programs to see if it's just them.
Windows Movie Maker treats as Audio files, I tried to disable compatibility filters. I tried this on two computers to Vista.
Creating Windows DVD said me:
0 files were added successfully.
File (s) X could not be added.
The files
[Name of file]
is not valid or is corrupted.
I tried this on two computers to Vista.
I tried to convert the files with "Any Video Converter", but there is a substantial loss of the quality of .wmv and mpeg conversion.
I tried "of Aimersoft DVD Creator' trial, but video lags behind audio when I play the video in this program. The videos show very well "Media Player Classic Home Cinema".
How can I fix these files. AVI or convince Movie Maker and DVD Maker to care for them properly?
Thank you j of volunteering.
I used Freemake for one of the .avi files convert an .avi file. This increased the size of the file by more than 300% no change in quality. Windows Live Movie Maker considers the new .avi properly, but not creating Windows DVD or Windows Movie Maker, they still refuse to import or use it as audio, respectively.
I have converted the new .avi to .wmv with Freemake file and it seems that the quality is actually improved from the original. Windows DVD Maker will accept this new .wmv.
I'll convert others, burn and return with the results for the benefit of anyone else who has this problem.
Convert .avi .avi files then .wmv and burn with Windows DVD Maker have exceptional results. As seen on TV quality is slightly better than the quality of the original .avi files on the computer. Don't know what attribute this too, but I'm pretty happy.
Sorry for the late reply, but it took time to convert, convert, burn and test.Thank you very much for the help.

Can not play dvd directed by movie maker and create dvd on my TV
I have Windows Media Player and DVD maker (version 6.0.6002.18005 file). The type of file, I add to movie maker are all JPEG. I created the video file in movie maker and then use the option to burn on dvd in Director using a dvd - rw disc. I can read the disc on the computer, but can't play them on the TV. I checked with the manufacture of the VCR and said that this type of disc will play on my machine. Others have suggested that the dvd was not finalized, but I guess it was taken in charge in machine to dvd program. I use Windows Vista.
