Try to use Unlocker to:http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Unlocker.shtml this programs often works when the normal functions of remove Vista not work correctly.

If this does not work, you need to change the permissions and ownership on the file in order to have all the rights and the property (even on the inherited rights).  Then try Unlocker.  Here's the information to help you do.

To view your permissions, right-click on the file/folder, click Properties, and check the Security tab.  Check the permissions you have by clicking on your user name (or group of users).  Here are the types of permissions, you may have:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-are-permissions.  You must be an administrator or owner to change the permissions (and sometimes, being an administrator or even an owner is not sufficient - there are ways to block access (even if a smart administrator knows these ways and can move them - but usually should not because they did not have access, usually for a very good reason).)  Here's how to change the permissions of folder under Vista:http://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-vista/set-file-folder-permissions-vista/. To add take and the issuance of right of permissions and ownership in the right click menu (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article:http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/05/21/take-and-grant-full-control-permissions-and-ownership-in-windows-7-or-vista-right-click-menu/.

To solve this problem with folders, folders takeownership or the reader (as an administrator) and give you all the rights.  Right-click on the folder/drive, click Properties, click the Security tab and click on advanced and then click the owner tab.  Click on edit, and then click the name of the person you want to give to the property (you may need to add if it is not there--or maybe yourself). If you want that it applies to subfolders and files in this folder/drive, then check the box to replace the owner of subcontainers and objects, and click OK.  Back and now there is a new owner for files and folders/player who can change the required permissions.  Here is more information on the ownership of a file or a folder:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html. To add take ownership in the menu of the right click (which will make it faster to get once it is configured), see the following article:http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • I can't and never been able to open a file that was previously saved on hard disk by selecting the print option to get in the print dialog box

I can not and never been able to open a file that was previously saved on hard disk by selecting the print option to get in the print dialog box. Firefox displays gooblygook, even if the name of file is an html element, the Notepad of Windows crashes, MS Excel does not recognize the file type. MS Word also displays goobblys when the file has no file extension.

If you use the file printing, then you will get a file that is supposed to be sent to a printer, and this file has any sort of code formatting for this printer.

Open such a file in Firefox or a text editor can only work if you use one printer for text to print the file to, then make sure that such a printer is installed and selected.

When you reinstall Windows correctly, you start from the CD. Is it
    what you were doing?

If so, the installation starts formatting the disk for you, then all the
    your files are gone.

And by the way, reinstalling Windows due to an infection by the virus is
almost always way exaggerated. There are several very good anti-virus
programs that could probably removed the virus for you.

  • I can't delete some files that I uploaded to the server. What should I do?

I can't delete some files that I uploaded to the server. I get a notice: FTP an error occurred - cannot delete the PDF download server folder. Operation failed. The directory is not empty, or there may be a permission problem.

    What should I do?

Try to delete the files in your folder first.

If there is a permissions problem on the server that you cannot delete files, you need to contact your Site Administrator (if you have one) or your Web hosting provider.

  • I'm looking for a file that was left after an uninstall

I recently downloaded a program with a crack file, figure I would try to get something for nothing. A message came on a serial number fake identity card, and the program stops. So I uninstalled the program and downloaded the legitimate program, this time at the sight of corporate web.      I implemented the legitimate program and the same message came again, on a fake serial ID. I can only imagine the program left behind them a file that has kept a journal and the origin of the problem. I would like to know if someone could tell me what kind of file, and where there might be, so I can remove it. If it helps the program has been internet download manager. Thank you for your help.

Each company has their unique way of dealing with software piracy.  It is unclear what this company has implemented.  Since you have a legitimate copy of the program, you should contact their support personnel and ask them to sit.

While the implementation of the links, if you choose to open the file in a new window then you will not experience this issue, then you can simply switch to the file view and previous bookmark will remain as it is.

  • Recovery of a file that was accidentally deleted without saving it

Original title: need help with Power Point

I deleted a presentation Power Point by chance before you save it.

    Help, please!

    Hello

When we usually delete a file and it goes first to the trash. Once you find yourself accidentally deleted files, it is easy to retrieve if they are still in the Recycle Bin.

If you had saved the filed, by performing a search using the search box in Windows Explorer or file Explorer window can be useful sometimes, the file is accidentally moved to another location.

However, as the file was not justified even to any place in the PC, it is not possible to recover.

Do not hesitate to write to us in case you have any problems/concerns while working on your computer, we will be happy to help you.

  • I deleted a file that contains the entire set up of the files. Now my phone will not work. Help, please.

    Original title: re - install

Hi, can anyone help? I use Vista Home Premium on a Toshiba laptop.

Recently, I deleted a file from D: drive (which has a system set up files etc.). I received a message that "Auto back up had no" and I tried System Restore etc, but nothing worked. I then ran Chkdsk and this allowed Auto back up to go back to my external HARD drive. After Auto save, I checked the drives and horrors, D: drive was full and in the RED.

I tried the F8 recovery console, but when I tried "Recovery system" (which keeps intact all my files and settings), I was informed that there were "no back ups on the computer '." I tried to use back ups of my external HARD drive, but nothing, still got the same message. In the same Message window, it asked me to insert an of my previously recovery disks. I tried two discs, but got the same message as before.

My computer works always, but with a drive D: saturated, but if I do a full re-install, the computer back to its original state, I have to make copies of all my data (info from year 8) backup, or that I can then re - install the files on my external HARD drive?
