Why I can't move or delete group icon that appeared on my desk?

I just got home tonight and I had the same problem, but I accidentally stumbled upon a simple fix.  Right-click on the desktop and choose "Update" to refresh the desktop.  Homegroup icon disappeared.  Let's see if she comes back after a reboot later.
