These errors could display if your inkjet printing software is HP Solution Center.

  • HP solutions Center can not run because your installation of the device is not full (Windows 7)

I downloaded and tried to install HP Photosmart C309a all-in-One Driver Software 14.0 Rel.5 in a new installation of Windows 7 Professional (not an upgrade). Installation works very well until the moment of the connection to the printer.

I tried the wired and wireless network connections. The screen "Found network printers" lists the printer with the correct IP address and MAC address. Network Diagnostics screen shows any errors. The screen "Installation of your printer" poster "Detected printer", then says "printer setup has failed to complete." Retry does not help. Removing and reinstalling the software do not help.

The Windows devices and printers control panel shows the printer as "Series of HP Photosmart C309a (redirect 2)". I am able to print a Test Page from Windows printer without error. The 'print options' are also available.

The printer works fine with other computers on my home network, one running XP and a Vista running.

How can I get the software installation to complete successfully and provide the printer the HP Solutions Center?

    Thanks for your help.

Well, I have solved my problem. I'm not sure that these steps are necessary, but here's what I did.

1 follow the instructions in "Completely uninstall and reinstall the HP software" HP. In particular, 'clear the temporary files and folders' and 'Disable Terminate and Stay Resident (TSR) programs and any other lighting programs' before reinstall you, then "Reactivate startup programs", after the reinstallation.

    2. install base drivers, and NOT the complete software package with applications.

    3. If the basic install works, then install ALL the applications (eg Solution Center). Do not try to install some applications but not others.

4 remove the applications that you do not (e.g., Online Shop).

Maybe the steps 2-4 are not mandatory, but they worked for me.

  • Questions of solution Center with 8500 wireless pro on the new machine, Windows 7 Pro

    Hi all

I'm having a really hard time trying to get the software of Center of Solution for my departure Officejet 8500 Pro Wireless A909G. I am trying to install on a laptop Toshiba T130 new that came with Windows 7 Pro.

I use the latest version of the software (full version) for Windows 7, downloaded from the website of HP (32-bit).

The installation process works very well. Once completed, if I launch the centre of Solution without restarting the computer, it works fine.

As soon as I restart the machine, that's right--I can't launch the centre of Solution more and I can't use the PRINTER. Solution Center told me that the installation failed.

I also tried the following so far:

-Windows patched with the latest updates-to - no chance.

-read through the different posts of people with similar problems and tried some of the suggestions (so far, update of flash player and by applying the patch DOT4 seem to be most applicable to my situation)-no luck.

-rebuild the machine (even if it's new!) - no luck.

If there is another job out there dealing with this, I missed it. Feel free to point me in that direction... Thank you.

Looks like I solved my problem (after the days of play)

There is not a lot to it:

    • Completely uninstall the software and reboot
    • Open the folder that contains the complete software (mine was called OJP8500vA909_Full_13.exe) self-extracting exe
    • Right-click on the file, then select Properties from the menu
    • Click on the compatibility tab, located in the upper part
    • Downstairs, you'll see the option that says to run this program as an administrator. By default, it is not checked. I checked, click apply then OK.
    • Run the installer as usual through until the end.

That's it - and it worked for me. I hope this helps.

  • Photosmart C410A: HP Solution Center install on 2 PCs for the same printer

I have two PCs running Windows 7 Professional 64 - bit and a HP Photosmart C410A printer, wireless connections to my network.  The solution Center has worked well on the first PC, it was installed on.  I tried to install it on my new PC, but I get an error on USB hardware and software; It will not attempt to connect and install wireless.

My question: can you run Solution Center HP of two different PC for the same printer Photosmart C410A?

    Thank you.

    Yes,

You can install the HP Solution Center software on several computers connected to the same netowrk as your printer.

Try following these steps to solve the USB error during installation:

Click the Start button and type folder in the search bar, then open the Temp folder indicated.

Open the last HP installation folder that begins with 7z (e.g. 7zs1234)
    Open the installation folder.
Find the file usbready.exe and rename it to usbready.old.exe
Navigate to the main extraction folder (folders that begins with 7z) and run the Setup.exe file.

Now follow the installation and check for the difference.

    Kind regards

  • I need to reinstal the HP Solution Center software on my PC and the office.

I am running Windows Vista for a HP Phtosmart Premium All in One C309a. I deleted the application before a reinstall but this app (used to operate the printer) did not return. Everything works fine now, but I can't give orders to my printer/scanner. Impossible to find online a link to support or reinstall an attempt to update driver software. Can someone direct me to a link for the download?

    Hello cyberjack101

    What was your final decision?

The reason why I suggested the link was that HP Solution Center should be in the full driver package.

Always happy to hear that your printer is in working condition.

    It's really frustrating.

    I use windows 7 64-bit.

    Can someone please help.

    Thank you

Hello everyone. I understand that you have to open the Printer Wizard. To troubleshoot the defective Printer Wizard, follow the steps described in this document from HP: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03640384

Note: The title of the document concludes that the program opens with a Script error. However, the troubleshooting steps are exactly the same. Essentially, the software needed to start the program was not installed successfully, or blocked.

Please let know me when you are done troubleshooting. I'm only here to help!

  • It is a way to password protect the Panel options of access, including the connection settings?

Is there a way that access to the Options panel can be locked by an administrator. In particular, I would like to block a user to change the proxy settings in tools > Options > advanced > network > connection settings. I would like to be able to lock the settings to (use the system proxy settings). The OS is windows 7 standard user account controlled by a small business to windows 2008 Server.

If you get the α error reading failure then it means that there is a problem with the file to mozilla.cfg or Firefox can't find the file that you may have created mozilla.cfg.txt where you saved the file as a text file (check the type in the properties using the context menu to see if it is a CFG file).

The mozilla.cfg file must be in the main folder of the Firefox program where also the firefox.exe file is located.

You should have at least two lines in mozilla.cfg.

The first line must always be a comment (/ /) because this line is ignored.

The pref value depends on what you want to use for the connection parameters for the use of the system use 5 proxy settings.

    //
    lockPref("network.proxy.type", 5);

Thank you for taking the time to post this solution.

I was pulling my hair out for several hours now and it worked like a charm.

Power Googling finally turned to the top of your message and I have not seen anything to suggest it is common knowledge, but I think this problem is quite regular, so I hope others find your post.

  • In XP, do not see the options of hibernation in the power settings

I have an acer computer and it crashes. I was told to try to disable the hibernation option. I went to the power options and could not find it. So where should I go? I've tried everything, and it crashes. I can only work in safe mode now. Sucks big time. Thank you

    Hi tomCunningham,.

This problem can occur because Windows XP does not allow a computer hibernate if Windows XP does not recognize a specific hardware device.

Method 1: To resolve this problem, contact the driver manufacturer to inquire about the availability of a driver that correctly implements power management features.

Method 2: Try the steps in the section "Let fix me it myself" in the following article to resolve this problem:
Note: The steps in the article are also well worth for Windows XP.

I see that you have had previous HP products, Katharine. I'm glad to know that you have the software installed for the 8600 with success now.

However, the center of Solution software you used with the previous units is more used to the 8600. The software installed for the 8600 should have placed an icon that resembles the printer with the name of the printer it labeling on your desktop. This icon opens the wizard of HP printer with options to control the printer.
