  I solved my problem. I basically uninstalled creative cloud and re installed.

  First although I went in my finder-applications-dragged the old version of tria Lightroom in the trash and empty.

  I then tried a cleaning tool I've found the link too on a matter further under your original one. But I'm sure you can find it pretty easy.

  I followed the instructions and chose the creative cloud section and cleaned up. I then discovered that I had to revive creative cloud by finder. It's so once this process is complete, I discovered I could reinstall lightroom.
