Why KB2538242 etc. must require the old files vcredist.msi (to uninstall the old stuff)?

First of all, some "background story":
The old facilities must be uninstalled with their files vcredist.msi of origin before the end of the new facility. Sincerely appreciate the info/advice. I ran sfc/scannow and cropped the results to include only the unable to complete sections. OK portions have been eliminated for practical reasons. PC is a Vista PC with SP2 and all updates. The antivirus program is run several times a week and has identified no virus/spyware/malware. No other real problems with PC.

(1) we will NEVER buy another PC with a trace of all 'games' that is, waste of space and time and a value. Looking at the impossible to correct entries, they seem to be exclusively associated with functions of game without value.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be harder to detect as

I suggest you to use the disk cleanup utility to remove the files. Disk Cleanup removes a variety of file system and other elements (including left on updates files) that you no longer need.
