I get 10 MB speed w/Crome & Explorer but only 1 mb w/Mozilla.I tried Mozilla Reset without help.

First of all: I used Mozilla for years and prefer to continue but speed internet becomes a problem. I got recently my internet speed is increased to 10 MB. If I use Mozilla Firefox I get 1 MB maximum. When you use the Explorer or Chrome, I get 10bm speed. I tried the Reset procedure and update of Mozilla, but the speed remained the same. You have any other suggestions?

Of course - you send messages to a Microsoft support forum and one could assume that you mean that you try to download Microsoft Security Essentials, save it to your computer and install it then - but even with this hypothesis - another that knowing you have Windows XP (probably Home edition, but possibly professional or Media Center editions - and probably more than 32-bit not 64 - bit)-we do not like you think we should knowledge.

Regarding AntiVirus - free are very good: Avira, AVG, Avast

You could spend ~ 60USD during two years of eSET NOD32 AntiVirus (not more - just AntiVirus.)

Get one - save on your computer (do not install immediately.)

    Reset...

After a reboot - install your new product and update after the installation.

Run a full scan with it.

Then - just to make sure you started on the right foot...

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner. Remove everything it finds.

    Reset.

  • HP Envy 23 Touchsmart SE d494: do not get the internet speed I think I'm supposed to

I just upgraded my ISP service and should get up to 250 MB/s download, but get only around 95 Mbps, which is the same that I was getting before.  Looking at the specifications of my computer, it seems that I should have no problem getting the 250 Mbit/s speed.  Am I missing something or is there something I need to do?  Thank you.

It turns out that the Cat 5 cable I was using was not allowing higher speeds, as I tried to replace it with another cable, I had and immediately got the faster speeds.  Now, I'm getting around 230 Mbps download.  Cool!

  • How to get sync high speed off faster with a 60 d and 430 ex ii camera?

I try to get my speedlite 430 to sync high speed with my camera off camera.  Once I did all that I can't get a shutter speed of 250.  I need the higher speeds for what I want to do and I need the flash off camera.

What do you use to control the 430EX II off-camera?  You have a speedlite controller or another flash speedlite?

The 430EX II supports Sync high speed when it works as a remote off-camera/slave flash, but it's automatic.  If the flash unit is set to use high sync speed then the slave will also use high sync speed... you have not actually the value of the slave in sync mode high speed.  (See page 29 of the manual 430EX II).

If you use the built-in on the 60 d flash to trigger the 430EX II then this could be the problem because the built-in flash does not support Sync high speed.

  • Download Itunes on my laptop just before, it starts to install, I get a message saying that windows Explorer stops because the prevention of execution of data has stopped installation

    original title: Itunes and DEP

While downloading Itunes on my laptop right before you start to install, I get a message saying that windows Explorer stops because the prevention of execution of data has stopped installation.  Is there any solution for this?  I'd like to install itunes on my laptop.

    Hi Steve681229,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Answers forum.  Here's what worked for someone else.  Thanks Kevin

    Hi thrivenformore,

Please use the forum for Support of Vista,

You could try to add iTunes to the DEP exception list.  However, this behavior is not normal.  Go to the support forum of Apple for iTunes for Windows, search on DEP.  There should be a thread "How can I turn off DEP for iTunes?" or it Prevet planting iTunes? "which provide troubleshooting steps you might want to try before adding it to the list of exceptions."

How to add the program to the DEP exception list:

    1. Press Start, right click on computer and select Properties.
    2. in the window that appears, click Advanced (on the left panel) system settings.
    3. in the first box that says Performance, click on the settings button.
    4. in the window that opens, click the Data Execution Prevention tab at the top.
    5. There should be a box of exceptions in the middle of this window. Click the Add button and navigate to the C: drive, then Program Files, then the iTunes folder, and then choose the iTunes exe.
    6. Add the exception, and then click OK in the window of the DEP.

    Hope this helps, Kevin

  • Get links from speed negotiated CF using Cisco Powertool

I can get the speed of the uplinks to network on the FI-s Cisco with the command

    Get-UcsFiLanCloud-Id "A" | Get-UcsUplinkPort - AdminState 'enabled ' | ForEach-Object {$_.adminspeed}

However, there is no option to get the speed negotiated in the rising Fibre Channel on the Cisco FI - s. There is no property AdminSpeed of the output of the command below

    Get-UcsFiSanCloud-Id "A" | Get-UcsFcUplinkPort - AdminState "enabled."

Is it possible to get the negotiated speed of the CF links? If so, please provide the command powertool.

You can take a different approach to get them.  I said that the 'network element' cmdlet to get all the IFS, specify the 'Module' I want to get the information of (id 1 = fixed ports, code 2 = the first slot for expansion into the FI, id 3 = the second extension in the FI slot, if present), specify the FC port groups, get all of these ports and then use a select statement to filter down.  As you can see below, my FC ports are negotiated at 4gpbs.

    PS C:\ucs > Get-UcsNetworkElement | Get-UcsFiModule-Id 1 | Get-UcsPortGroup-CF to Transport | Get-UcsFiFcPort | Select dn, nmdt, admintransport, adminstate, operspeed | Format-Table

If you weren't aware, there is a large command called get-ucscmdletmeta.  It will help to understand how things are defined in the XML of the UCS model.

    Here are some example uses:

    Get-UcsCmdletMeta-name ucsnetworkelement-tree

(I removed the output as it was very long, but it will give you the entire hierarchy of all classes of sup that are children of the network element, the names of XML classes for each and it suitable PowerShell verbs and names for query and manipulate classes.)

    PS C:\ucs > Get-UcsCmdletMeta-name ucsfifcport

    ClassId: FcPIo

    Name: UcsFiFcPort

    Verb: get

    PipelineClassId: PortGroup {}

    LimitScopePipelineClassId: {}

    MoMeta: Cisco.Ucs.UcsMoMeta

-This result displays the available cmdlets to get information about an FC Port.  You can see the PipelineClassID PortGroup watch, which means the classes / substantive PoSh that are pipelineable in this category

    PS C:\ucs > Get-UcsCmdletMeta-noun ucsfifcport | Select mometa - ExpandProperty

  • Low download speeds Internet Sophos UTM VM - but only the other virtual machines; Physical PC without issue

So I have something very strange going on. I have a Dell custom host ISO on a Dell R310 ESX 5.5. My problem is that the Internet download is bad, but ONLY to other virtual machines. The Upload is normal physical computers.

I currently have 4 virtual machines running:

FreePBX, Win 2012 R2 Server, Sophos UTM (ISO VMware with the latest updates) and Win8.1 Ent.

I have the following physical machines, I also used for testing:

    8.1 Win Office - wired

    Win portable 8.1 - wireless

The lower test details, you can see on the image below.

Iperf tests with 64 k window:
Win Server 2012 to VM VM win 8 - 6.8Gbps <-VM VM good xfer
    Wireless
Win 8.1 laptop to Win 2012 VM Server - 172Mbps <-VM to the well physical wireless
Desktop 8.1 Win Win Server 2012 VM-619Mbps <-well wired VM

    Xfinity speed tests:
Wireless laptop: 90Mbps down, 9Mbps place <-physical good Upload PC speed
Wired Desktop laptop: 90Mbps down, 9Mbps place <-physical good Upload PC speed
Win Server VM: 86Mbps down, place 0.6Mbps <-SLOW on VM!
Win 8 VM: 90Mbps downwards, upwards 0.6Mbps <-SLOW on VM!

As you can see in my tests, the only place the problem presented is VM to the internet. Physics to the internet works fine. My only thought is that there is something with the switch to the host or the MAC address.

I don't think it's the Sophos Nic because it works very well from the physical to Sophos to Internet. I also have a ticket with Sophos Support; they look on the side of Sophos.

    Thoughts?

    Upload issue.png

I sent Wireshark packet capture of the Sophos support and they had this to say:

This is to inform you of the issue, you face the slow, ask you please see attached screenshot of the capture of packets. We have found the package wth ECN (explicit congestion Notification) and CWR (Congestion window reduced on the VM machine, please get this checked with support of virtual machine or VM adapter. This happens when he fell over packages and the congestion window is reduced, that the issue is not with the UTM.

In addition, indicator of Congestion window reduced (CWR) is defined by the host sender to indicate that it has received a segment TCP with the ECE flag set and that she had responded to the congestion control mechanism that indicates there is a congestion in the patch.

So I did some research and the solution is to disable all options of unloading in the advanced settings of the NIC as shown in these two links:

Cyber Explorer: Improved VM broadband network VM on an ESXi platform

Disable offloading TCP in Windows Server 2012 | Knowledge Center | Rackspace Hosting

This solved my problems. I now cross 9Mbps downloads on my VMs. hope this helps someone else!

    Search for malware:

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.
