  It's my problem, there are many like him, but this one is mine.

  I've recently updated to 11.7 Flash after being asked by Firefox telling me my current version (11.6.602.180) was precarious. Many video sites make videos like a very bad black box after the upgrade.
  Oddly, Youtube seems immune to this, here is my experience with GameTrailers.com:

  Video area loads, loading spinner appears. Shortly after spinner disappears and area remains black all the time. The shortcut menu provides the options normal, however, any attempt to turn hardware acceleration off is ignored (box is already reticked in re-entrant in the menu).

  Things I've tried:

  Uninstall Flash
  Remove entries from registry Flash
  Delete Flash files (appdata, system32, syswow64, etc.)
  New Firefox profile
  Uninstalling Firefox
  Remove Firefox (Mozilla, MozillaPlugins) registry entries
  Update Flash to the latest beta version (11.8)

  Things that worked:

  Decommissioning of Flash to (11.6.602.180) immediately solved the problem (although now, I have to click several times, whenever I have want to watch something just to load Flash)

  Of course, my current solution is not ideal, so any suggestions would be welcome.

  If it turns out that the problem is with the flash player. I got so fed up that I installed the debug version (flashplayer11_7r700_224_win_debug.exe) thinking I tire out and see what I could see.

  However, the debug install correctly, works without a problem so I can't use it to debug the normal player. I will continue to use this one for now.

  Cheers for all the suggestions, happy to have this solved (somehow), maybe the next version will solve this problem properly.

  Versions prior to version 11 of Premiere Elements must have their projects manually configured to match the source media.

  Start a new project, in the project Panel, click settings and select project settings that correspond to your video specifications. This can be difficult because you are not editing video camcorder but the video which is produced by a third-party software. You will probably need open a sample of this video G Spot or Media Info in order to get the exact resolution, the frame rate and audio and video codecs that are in use - and, in the Premiere Elements 9 version, these codecs are not fully supported.

  You can try the free download of version 13 and see if it works better with your video. Earlier versions of the software were much greater with sources video camcorder and non-standard.

  You probably have different resolution videos.

  Intensify or make a sequence that matches the one who has the box.

  Try to search in firefox support pages and see if you can revert to a version. Recently, I did this and everything was fine.

  I'm running a new iMac with Yosemite 10.10.5 (14F1509).   I have an external HD for time machine.  When I get time machine, I have a black box appears on my screen than me to use time machine ban.  I tried to release and reuse the HD nothing helps.  I also have to mention from time to time, I get these black boxes in other applications.  In the example, when I use Photoshop and zoom in on a photo 150% I start to get these random black boxes.  Sometimes, I have to leave and app and more stimulus to come these black boxes.
