  Someone just tell me how to solve the problem. Apparently, some corrupt videos caused Windows Media Player to plant as soon as thumbnails of the videos have been read.   Two things come to mind.
  One is a corrupted file system.  For that fix, run a chkdsk with the /F or/r option operation.  It is a part of the normal maintenance and should be done even when sometimes...
