  Why update drivers would change anything. It would not be... the problem lies in the reporting to the Media Center of the portrait mode, that has nothing to do with the hardware drivers; they report portrait mode very well, thank you. As for making primary and turning, wondering if there is anything that I could do otherwise than to resort to having to play with the settings of the monitor in the query, and I don't have to make primary of all... just back to the landscape and backward Media Center elementary school. This does not work... but should I have to resort to something which is, more or less, a workaround if the problem lies in the Media Center and not my monitor settings? The answer should be no, and incidentally, Media Center, once started and settled in portrait orientation (in windowed mode, otherwise you couldn't move) works fine, as long as you do not close it while it is still in this mode, because then he will refuse to start for no reason other than the programmer who designed it seems not know beans orientation or multiple monitors.   Run Microsoft Fixit 50202.msi and choose its default mode.
