I get an error message that my audio is corrupted and I need to install a wincodec update to correct the problem. What should I do?

Help!

Hello Jpron1518,

Thank you for your message.  What program do you use to listen to your music?  In regards of the Codec there is a little out there.  Most likely, you try to play something that is not supported by your particular player.  This is very common.  You need to just do a search on the web for "Windows XP (Player) Audio Codec.  You will get some choice.  Make sure you get a codec that allows you to play the file type that you are currently having problems with.  K - lite is a good Codec.
Please let us know if it did or did not help to solve your problem.
See you soon
