I get an error message when I try to use my Epson scanner.

This device has been connected to my PC for over a year with no problems until now. The error message indicates "escndv.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close." I contacted Epson and after taking their suggestions (including the reloading of the software), the error still occurs.

Brilliant, it works again!

Is this ok to remove the regbackup from the desktop?

Restart the computer and check everything is working well, then you can remove it or even copy to another location.
