I have 1.28 GB of free space.

Is there a way I can clear my system, and then reinstall windows xp? On my c:, it 98% used. I'm ready to empty all the programs just to free up space. Please help with EASY step-by-step instructions.

If you want to reinstall Windows there is no interest in working on the current system, with the exception of back up your data.

If you do not want to reinstall, then:

1. copy your data (pictures, music, documents, etc.) on an external hard drive. So if you have a large amount of data, delete all or part of it from your main hard drive.

2 uninstall all of the programs you don't want or use Add/Remove programs.

3. make sanitation a. I like CCleaner to do this but only use the cleaning part. Do not use the registry cleaner or other advanced tools or there will be tears before bed.

4. or buy a bigger hard drive and clone the old disk to the new, bigger. The new hard drive will be bundled with the cloning software, or you can get it on the site of the new disc mftr... MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Insufficient 'Storage' error when I have half a gig of free space on the internal memory...

Cannot update or download new applications. I have 465 MB of internal storage space. Have you tried the "solution" offered on another thread here re: Uninstalling playstore updated and that did not work.

Get very frustrated with the z3 compact because it seems obvious that even with the ability to partially move apps to SD card it would never be enough space for this works as an AAA flagship phone. Sony had to know how many Android apps are bolted on taking the lion share of the internal memory. Why make a phone with this level of the plug and then skimp on some ugly cheap storage?

Yes, you can remove the card and backup your contacts and you can perform a repair using PC Companionsoftware. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1 to 2 hours until the device has so at least 80% battery.

Make sure that the device is not connected to the computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press the power button / stop and volume until what the machine vibrates 3 times or on some devices, it must push the small button near the tray on the back of the camera or SIM).

Open PC companion-> support area-> update phone software / Tablet-> repair my phone/Tablet blue highlighted. Follow the steps, do not plug your phone until you are prompted to press volume down while plugging in the USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you may need to run Windows 7 compatibility mode (in some cases XP).

Check the amount of space available on your computer and the rights to write to the destination folder. I administrar 1.38 TB of free space and total control.

Charles please do not remove the installation files in the Program Files directory.  I recommend to extract the installation to your downloads folder or your desktop files.  Once installation files are extracted, you can then run the installation program to install Photoshop elements 13.

  • I have a VAIO can move free space from drive d to drive c? XP

    Thank you

As Ken pointed out, you can do so if both disks are in fact only a single physical disk. However, I no longer starts you warned that it is possible for the process to corrupt system files and make Windows. The solution is to make a clone of your drive image hard if you do not have a Windows disc. If you do not have a Windows disk then simply back up your personal data before performing the action.

  • you have to have free space, or your files will automatically separate?

I have about an 80 gigabyte and I want to share it at halfway but its full, so I was wondering if windows will automatically share files

Your question is not particularly clear.

Windows will only save a file on a single path then if the Act of writing a large file will fill a particular drive that the write will fail completely with a lack of space error.

When writing multiple files to a removable device, it can request a change to the device when it is full.

It is not generally recommended to fill out a capacity HARD drive as standard household tasks will not work. You should always have at least 15% of free space on a disk partition.

  • How can I get the 'free space' in my SSD back?

I tried to install windows via boot camp on my macbook air 2013 Wizard but I got an error during partitioning and restarting the laptop now I'm stuck with my Macintosh HD impossible to return to full capacity. So I tried to search the net to find answers, but I could not find. I have about 55 GB of free space, how could I get it back? I'm also on El Capitan. My ssd is 250 GB and macintosh that HD used to identify all 250 now it is stuck at 199 - ish. Thank you!

Have you tried to use Boot Camp Assistant to delete the partition that it created? If you do not, then you should give it a try. If instead you tried to solve it using disk utility, then you have garbaged s disk RDB. Either you can take a long time to find out how to solve this problem using the Terminal or you can clone your OS X volume to another disk using disk utility or Carbon Copy Cloner, boot from the clone, erase your internal drive, the clone of restoration on the internal drive, then restart your computer from the internal drive.

Step 1: Fix the hard disk and permissions

Boot from an OS X install disc

    1. Insert the OS X installation disc into the optical drive.

    2 restart the computer.

    3. immediately after the ring, press and hold the C"" key.

4 release the button when the spinning gear under the Apple grey dark

    logo appears.

    5. wait for the installer to finish loading.

    Boot from a recovery HD:

    1. reboot the computer.

    2. immediately after the ring, press and hold the

'ORDER' and the set of keys 'R '.

    3. release the keys when appears the utilities Menu.

After the installer loads, choose your language and click on the button continue. When the menu bar appears, select disk utility from the menu of the Installer (the menu utilities for Tiger, Leopard or Snow Leopard).

For Lion or later select disk utility in the main Menu of public services.

After disk utility loads select your entry from hard drive (to mfgr. ID and Player size) of the list on the left.  In the disk utility status area, you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is faulty or has failed. (State SMART is not reported on external drives Firewire or USB). If the drive is "verified", then select your OS X volume in the list on the left (subentries under the entry for the road), click the first aid tab, then click the repair disk button. If THE reports any errors that have been corrected, and then run repair disk again until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported, click repair permissions. Wait until the operation is complete, then exit FROM and return to the installer.

If Disk utility reports errors, that it can not solve, then Disk Warrior or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you do not have one of them or none of them can fix the disc, then you will need to reformat the hard drive and reinstall the OS X.

Second stage: Remove the old drive and install the new drive.  Place of the old drive in an external USB enclosure.  You can buy one at OWC , which is also a good supplier for the readers.

Step 3: boot from the external drive.  Restart the computer and after the buzzer, press on and hold down the OPTION key until the Boot Manager appears.  Select the icon of the HD to the external hard drive recovery, and then click the arrow pointing down.

Fourth step: new preparation of the hard drive

    1. open utility disk in the utility Main Menu, then click on the continue button.

    2. the disk utility charges and then select your new hard drive (it's the entry with the)

MFGR. ID and size) from the list on the left. Note the SMART status of

the reader in the status area of THE.  If it says not "verified" and then the player

is failing or has failed and will need replacement.  Otherwise, click on the

Tab in the main window of the disk utility partition .

    3. in the title of the Volume entitled plan defined the number of partitions from

(Journaled). Click the Options button, set the partition scheme

GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition/apply button and

Wait until the process is completed.

    4. Select the volume you just created (it's the auxiliary input under the)

entry by car) from the list on the left. Click on the Erase tab in THE MAIN

    window.

    5. set the type of format Mac OS extended (journaled). Click on the

The button options , check the box for zero data and click OK to

return to the window to erase it.

    6. click on the delete button. The formatting process can take up to several

hours depending on the size of the disk.

Fifth step: clone the old disk to the new disk

    1. Select the destination volume in the list on the left.

    2. click on the tab restore in the main window of THE.

    3. check the box labeled destination Erase.

    4. Select the destination volume in the left list and drag it to the

    Destination entry field.

    5. Select the volume of the source of the list on the left and drag it to the

    Input source field.

    7. check you correctly, then click on the restore button.

Destination means the new internal drive. Source means the old external drive.

Step 6: open preferences Startup disk and select the new internal volume.  Click restart.  You should boot from the new drive.  Eject the disk and disconnect it from the computer.

Update to iOS 9.2.1 requires at least 610 MB of free space on your iPad. Please change your synchronization of media options to make more available storage.

You have a question? Your free space currently on the iPad is indicated in the settings > general > available, the message you get is a generic message, for example if you've synced a lot of music or movies/TV programs to the iPad from iTunes on your computer, then change your sync options, deselect and then remove them from the iPad.

Or you can update via iTunes on your computer (in iTunes Summary tab), which require less space because it can use the computer (but that will download the iOS version whole, not only the update).

But however update you, first take a backup, copy purchases on your computer's iTunes library (file > devices > transfer purchases) and preferably grab your own copy of any important documents/photos

  • Is there a problem if I extend my drive c with any free space?

I have a 750 GB HDD partitioned into 5 seats, namely

    c:---75 GB
    F:---200 GB
    G:---150 GB
    H:---150 GB
    I:---103 GB
but since I have only 10 GB of free space left in my c: drive I want to extend my c drive but I don't have a copy of my windows, so I want to increase my c drive without format my drive c. any body can help?

The essential point is that the only way to extend a drive is that it cannot be that in free space is contiguous to the partition that currently hold the drive C. open disk management and in the lower pane confirm what partition is now to the right of the C partition. This is the one, in that you have to remove or change in order to provide a space for drive C to expand.

Although the disk manager has the ability to shrink a partition it will reduce only the right side at the end of the score but you need initially left space to the partition. If you can, as suggested by the most simple is to back up the content, delete the partition, extend the C drive, the quantity required and if any space flying over creating a new partition to restore the data.

You can also download MiniTool Partition Wizard , that allows you to define which end of a partition to shrink. However, the partitions on an active system manipulation it has its risks and it is strongly recommended that you perform a backup anyway before you start.

An option may be to move some of the files currently on the C drive on another drive. Although you can not move the whole user profile easily many key issues that often take up excessive space can be moved, particularly music, photos and Documents folders can be moved using a utility provided in Windows.

  • ESXI 4.1, 348481 Question about data store, not be able to use all the free space?

I am working on installing ESXi 4.1 on a Dell R710 with 3.7 to with SATA, RAID 5 disks. My problem is when I'm going to create my store of data it shows I have 3.7 TB of free space. I told him to use all but the data store comes out 1.63 TB. I deleted that and made a 1 TB data store, but when I went to create a new one he would not give me the ability to use the remaining free space. I'm really green when it comes to the implementation of VMWARE for any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you, Don

    Hello.

The maximum size for a single volume must be 2 TB - 512 bytes, as described in KB 3371739.  Use the RAID Dell utilities to carve up the storage volumes of that size or smaller.

    Good luck!

  • I have an Air of MacBk 2010 & I get the mssg "system is out of memory of the application", so it is impossible to open the Mail, Safari, etc.. But sometimes I can't. I deleted photos or videos for free space; no luck. What should do?

I get the message "your system has wearied of the memory of the Application." So I can not open Mail, Safari, or any application.  However, I can periodically, the first thing in the morning, after I Shut Down & power up, not after a reboot.  I deleted a lot of photos and videos to free up space, but not luck.  IPhotos, I get the mssg. "cannot import pictures because not enough free space on the volume containing the iPhoto library."     The problem might be related to: 1 overheating, 2 PureVPN although I installed about 5 months ago and it was very good; 3. the MB Air was diverted (I'm worried that PureVPN may have something to do with it).  Or is this a sign that I need to get a new laptop?  Thanks for any help you can offer!

release disk space and short-term memory are two different things. If your computer is running more disk space, it will have a negative effect on your system.
