  As Ken pointed out, you can do so if both disks are in fact only a single physical disk.   Have you tried to use Boot Camp Assistant to delete the partition that it created? If you do not, then you should give it a try. If instead you tried to solve it using disk utility, then you have garbaged s disk RDB. Either you can take a long time to find out how to solve this problem using the Terminal or you can clone your OS X volume to another disk using disk utility or Carbon Copy Cloner, boot from the clone, erase your internal drive, the clone of restoration on the internal drive, then restart your computer from the internal drive.

  The maximum size for a single volume must be 2 TB - 512 bytes, as described in KB 3371739.  Use the RAID Dell utilities to carve up the storage volumes of that size or smaller.

"cannot import pictures because not enough free space on the volume containing the iPhoto library."     The problem might be related to: 1 overheating, 2 PureVPN although I installed about 5 months ago and it was very good; 3. the MB Air was diverted (I'm worried that PureVPN may have something to do with it).  Or is this a sign that I need to get a new laptop?  Thanks for any help you can offer!
