I have problems when sending emails on Outlook Express (Windows XP Home) told in the Outbox, even if they were sent.  What can I do?

You have apparent dbx file corruption.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

If you know the correct product key, you can block the user in use- but it won't stop them reformatting and reinstalling using recovery disks from the manufacturer to reinstall using the OEM_SLP key - and it would also prevent your use your laptop must be returned.

You must contact one of the centers of activation and inform them of the keys and the circumstances.

They will then issue a global block on the key (which can take a long time) which will result in any attempt to validate or activate any system with this key, which gives a non-genuine message on the desktop - it will NOT prevent the use of the system, and it will NOT stop the user both take steps to steal the data and/or reformatting/reinstall.

Also note that the key on the COA sticker on the case of the machine is not normally the one in use,- and if the key OEM_SLP is still in use, MS can take no action at all, as thousands of others would be affected.

I bought a laptop computer with non-genuine windows 7. I have the original windows xp product key pro, etc. from the bottom of the laptop, but I do not have the windows xp pro cd.  Help me, please!

You will need to either buy a version authentic retail Windows XP, with its key sales, to a true scource or visit the site of laptop manufacturers, support for your model and see what versions of win are taken care of, then buy a commercial version of this o/s.

The key on the base of the laptop is the recovery key that requires that the recovery disks provided by the manufacturer.

You could phone manufacturers to support to see if they have the origonal recovery cd send you, for which it maybe a small fee.

    Hello

' I INSTALLED WINDOWS XP PRO, BUT IT IS NOT VALID, DO NOT HAVE KEYCODE.

Your XP Pro has never been legitimate, or is this a recent problem?

And what was the original operating system that was installed?

There is no free XP with download of the available product key.

And Microsoft sells more than XP.

You can try eBay, etc., but you take a risk to buy pirated software.

You can try local computer repair shops to see if they were still a few XP in stock.

    Hello

If Vista was preinstalled on your computer, read this information:

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

It may still be there after installation of XP

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • Windows 7 product key number on faded sticker

    Hello

I had the problem, can not read the 3 numbers on the sticker, tried to read this by using software and see that the number of software reading differs from that on the sticker. Why?

    Option 1:

If the COA sticker is damaged, you must use the recovery partition to reinstall Windows 7, it will be exempt from the need to use the product key to activate your installation of Windows 7.

    Option 2:

If your recovery partition is not available or damaged, you must contact the manufacturer of your computer, and request that a defined recovery disk you can use to reinstall Windows 7. They could practice a small shipping and handling. This will exempt the need to also use the product key.

    Option 3:

If neither options 1 or 2 is possible, then you will need to invest in a new license of full version of detail.

You can find software OEM System Builder of dozens of online merchants. The current price for OEM Windows 7 Professional Newegg, for example, is $ 140. When I checked a few minutes ago, Amazon offered packages OEM Windows 7 Professional from several vendors at prices ranging from $ 101 to $ 150. When I checked earlier, a package specifically designed for reconditioned PCs cost only $ 50 for a 64-bit copy.

There is no technical limitation to prevent you from using OEM software on your computer, although this software only works for a clean install, not an upgrade. In the past, Microsoft has been remarkably inconsistent in his advice to clients on the question of whether this practice is allowed. (See "is allowed to use Windows OEM on your own PC? • I have a Windows 7 product key that has worn

It's on an Acer; the computer no longer works.  I wanted to use it on my Dell Vista upgrade. I have the Acer recovery cd, but it no longer turns.

This product key is an OEM license that would not transfer rights to another computer in any case.

Your best option to buy a new license of Windows 7 license for Vista machine or review it migration to Windows 10.

Because Windows 7 is in limited stock because Microsoft ended sales in October 2013, this created demand due to its rarity. This means the retail boxed copies request a bonus, while the OEM System Builder copies remain affordable.

Windows Live Mail on Windows 7-

Is there a way to display the total number of emails you have? as opposed to simply show how many e-mail messages are in each file?

In the section filters, it is customary to say: email unread (12).

    I did what you say.

Now, in the views section fast, he added another line, so he said:

    Unread mail (12)

    All emails (12)

But I know a have a few thousand emails into different folders, so, over 12 emails.

I remember for a long time with a program called Eudora, I think, and he had a page that listed all of your files, with the number of emails in each file, and a total of all THE emails at the bottom.

Of course, I can add them by hand, but just thought it might be something that, for me, added.

    cranberrymix,

In my WLM 2011, category "All electronic" shows only not reading the mails for all accounts. Once the emails are read, the figure in brackets will be gone too.
I think that it is applicable to your case.

One last thing, if you left click all emails, you will see a long list of e-mails.

  • I defragged my computer and now it tells me that my Windows Vista product key is incorrect

    What should I do?

There is a very good reason for the non-genuine notification - your installation is not authentic!

You have a motherboard retail, but you use an OEM_SLP key from a Dell computer. The motherboard also appears to be new - indicating once again, it is not a Dell facility.
