I have 13 plugins that are DISABLED - how to remove? Why are they anyway?

In the Add-ons Manager I see that I have 13 plugins that are DISABLED. 2 of them are Java vulnerability.

How can I remove them? Why are they anyway? They are 3 codes out of the app I have on my system?

They are active, most likely in Firefox. Especially things like Flash and silverlight. As a guest post Thunderbird doesn't allow plugins and pose a risk to security. But as they are already installed, they are disabled by default.

It's just like you only have to install a printer once and see all applications. Then you try and remove paint because you do not use a printer it is.
