I need more info on how your network is configured to answer the question on the other. How is the computer connected to the internet? It connects wireless or cable to the router or modem or through ICS from another computer or what? How do you change between the sharing of internet connection currently? What happens when you try to enable both connections at the same time (or do not have two connections)?
Thank you. The answers above, I can be able to understand the problem, because right now I really don't know how you setup and I need as much information as you can provide about it.
Good luck!

I have Windows Vista Home Premium and I lost my product key!
I have Windows Vista Home Premium and I lost my case with the product key to this topic! I really need help! Can someone help me?
If the operating system is running - use Belarc Advisor to retrieve the key. www.Belarc.com
If the OS is always installed, but inaccessible, you can still be able to recover, depending on what is causing the problem - come back with details.
If you have reformatted, about maybe possible get the key - but unlikely.
If the HD is dead, or you have crushed the old installation, then you are out of luck.

Original title: copy files
I have Windows XP Home Edition and use Outlook Express for my e-mail. Is there a way to copy/send e-mail, favorite contacts and my photos on a Flash key?
Open the address book in the old identity and file | Export | Address book (wab) to any location on your HARD drive that is easy for you. The office is very well. Then drag that to the flash drive.
In IE: File | Import and export | Export to a file. Check Favorites | Next | Next | Navigate to a folder or the desktop and export. Drag the folder in the flash player.
For photos, just right-click on the folder and drag it to the USB and copy here.

I have windows vista Enterprise edition and trying to connect to a PPTP VPN, I get an error 691 name of user and password are fine, I can connect to the VPN on XP without problem.
original title: VPN Error 691I was able to find a solution by the way that the domain has been configured. I was adding the complete domain name and extension (i.e. domain.local). The .local was me screwing up. I edited the domain field to only reflect the domain name without any extensions. One that I did this it worked like a charm. I have been using a VPN PPTP on a computer Server 2003 domain mixed with 2000 and 2003 domain controllers and Windows 7 Pro laptop computers. Hope this helps someone.

To begin troubleshooting, follow these steps:
- Make sure that Device Manager is open, and that the device that has the problem is selected. You can perform certain resolutions recommended by the Device Manager.
- Right-click my computerand then click Properties.
- Select the hardware tab, and then click Device Manager.
- Double-click the type of device that has the problem. For example, if you have problems with your modem, double-click Modems to see the devices in that category.
A list of devices appears. If a device has problems, the unit has a red exclamation mark next to it. If a device is unknown (usually because of missing drivers), the device has a yellow question mark next to it.
- Right click on the device that has the problem, and then click Properties. This opens the device properties dialog box. You can see the error code in the State of the device of this dialog box.
- Use the Troubleshooting Wizard, if it is available, to help you diagnose and solve your problem.
- In the device properties dialog box, click the general tab.
- Click troubleshoot to start the Troubleshooting Wizard. The wizard will ask a few simple questions and provides a solution to your problem, based on the answers you provide. If the Troubleshooting Wizard is not available, go to step 3.
- Follow the resolution steps provided by the wizard to resolve the problem.
- Check the device status of the device properties dialog box to see if the error is resolved. If the error is resolved, you are finished. Otherwise, go to step 3.
- If the Troubleshooting Wizard does not have you helped to solve your problem or was not available, search for your error code in this article.
Note If you cannot find your error code in this article, contact Support. To learn how, refer to the Microsoft Web site at the following address:
- Follow the resolutions recommended for this error code.
- Check the status of the device in the device properties dialog box area to see if the error is resolved. If the error is resolved, you are finished.
- If the problem persists, unfortunately, this article did not resolve your problem. For your next steps, you can ask for help. Or, you can contact Microsoft Support to help you resolve this problem. To learn how, refer to the Microsoft Web site at the following address:
- Make sure that Device Manager is open, and that the device that has the problem is selected. You can perform certain resolutions recommended by the Device Manager.

Upgrade Vista to Windows 7
There is no free upgrade available currently. There was a promotion, but it ended two years ago.
I heard that if you buy Vista you get a copy of Windows 7 free
The Windows 7 upgrade Option is available through participating PC manufacturers on some PC and Microsoft on any purchase of packaged product Windows Vista. The Windows 7 upgrade Option applies to Windows Vista Home Premium, Business and Ultimate editions. Your upgrade to Windows 7 will be the comparable version: so you will get either Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional (upgrade to Windows Vista Business) or Windows 7 Ultimate, respectively. The Windows 7 upgrade Option program works on June 26, 2009 through January 31, 2010. -
I have Windows XP Home and XP Professional on my computer at home. It creates a nuisance for me and almost every time I restart the computer I need to boot from the CD of XP Professional. I would like to reformat the drive and install only XP Professional only. How do I do that?
I have already backed up some files I have so I have nothing to lose except the two BONES being problematic nuisance
You will need the installation CD. Insert the CD in the drive. Turn on the computer and look at the bottom or top for orders of F. If you have an order for the Boot Manager (usually F12) then keep hitting at the time wherever you turn on the computer. Select the option of CD drive to boot from the CD.
Note: If you do not have a Boot Manager option then you will need to go into your BIOS, sometimes called Setup (key F2 usually). You can get the boot option and change the boot priority. You do not want to move the CD player to the first on this list. Save and restart.
Follow the instructions and when you get to the screen that talks about partitioning, remove the partitions selected with the D key (it will erase all data on a disk (s)). Format using NTFS on the screen following and all simply continue with the installation after that.
