  No you can not just replace the keyboard, you need to replace the motherboard too (if available) because you need ports/connectors for all thos lights. And it will be a very expensive change.

  From what I understand is that all HP 2000 series have the same characteristics of Billboard and HP part number.

  If you want to make sure that you will be able to get the Apple support in case of problems or questions with your backups, you must use the wireless Time Capsule to back up your Mac.

  As long as the time Capsule provides a wireless signal, you can decide who to your 'main' network, then use it wireless Uverse for "guest", or children. If you do not need the Uverse router/modem wireless at all, it is possible to turn off wireless on the device and make it work only as a support modem/router...with Uverse wired.

  The reason why the driver was not installed was because the folder of Hermosa has different hardware ID than the one you posted.

  The hardware ID you have posted is in the folder of Venice, a so go through the same steps again but this time browse to:

  C:\SWSetup\sp40270\Venice\V64\wisVenya and select the Conexant HD Audio device in the list and see if the driver is now installed.

  Then restart.

  I recently bought this laptop off Craigslist. I went through the normal procedure to ensure that everything has been updated.

  I noticed that the free update of windows 8.1 was listed, then when I tried to upgrade I was told that I did not have qualifications because of this laptop with a company or volume license. and then told me to contact the administrator.

  I dot have an anministrator contact.

  I contacted Microsoft and they said I had to contact HP for the product key for the laptop.

  I called the 1-800 number gave me Microsoft for HP and all I got was a recording saying to go online. I come here for support and they tell me to pay almost $100 bucks just for the chance to talk to someone

  How can I fix this without spending money?

  This is your problem and you cannot update to Windows 8.1 as volume licenses may not.

  Sorry, the only way to get Windows Pro 8.1 is to buy another full commercial license.

  I understand the brightness buttons do not work properly is that correct? I'll do my best to try to help you with this problem.

  It was actually released a newer BIOS for your system. Clink this link and installed and see if that helps. Plug the power adapter before you install it and remember to save first download and then install it.

  It is not possible to connect to the computer without entering the username and password...

  You can create a new user account and leave the section blank password... in this case it will not lead to enter the password.
