  See the top of page 18. The wifi cards ONLY that your laptop will are on that list and it must be a wifi card with HP part number, not just the same chip on the card for another laptop. It's the HP "whitelist" and if the card is not on the white list it crashes the laptop to start.

  Do not shoot the Messenger on this. Not my idea and I was against it all along. Since the end of 2013, the whitelist went on new HP laptops but yours date from before that time. HP is never going to go back and to issue the BIOS with no white list on older laptops. There are pirate BIOS circulate on the dark side of the internet, but you try to your extreme peril.

  I say several videos online to replace the keyboard for a laptop HP Pavilion, but can not find information for a Pavilion dv7 - 6123cl Entertainment PC.  For that which never right on the back of this type of laptop is different than all the videos I've seen.

  Does anyone know if there is another keyboard that I can get for this model?

  The current keyboard keys a pretty spongy and don't respond well except if pressed hard.
  Also, buttons which I use a lot, such as the right change key and enter key are below standard and difficult to use.

  I want to set up a keyboard layout different if possible. The keypad is not important to me.

  Replacement of keyboard should not be a problem. I recommend you contact the partner of service authorized in your country. They should have the numbers for keyboards with a different layout. Using this number, you'll be able to order replacement keyboard.

• Replacement keyboard for satellite 1400

  Hi, when I start my laptop after a very short time, I have a popup (the menu associated with the left button of the mouse (I think) randomly appearing even when I am not touching the keyboard or the mouse. In word, when I type the z or / keys it always appears! I tried the external mouse and an external keyboard, with no difference. I think it's a keyboard error, comments? I think that the reason why the external keyboard makes no difference is that the internal keyboard is still connected i.e. sound always short-circuit. I am just out of warranty (rats!) Is it easy to replace the keyboard, I'm a little short on cash. Constantly clear the popup having my head.

  If I understand you right, your warranty is over. Then you can open your laptop without the risk of losing it.

  Open the notebook and disconnect the keyboard. If this does not a difference for the external keyboard, it must be a software problem.

  In any case, I recommend to reinstall the latest driver from the download page of Toshiba driver for the keyboard.

  Thank you in advance for your help!  I need good, complete instructions for replacement of the keyboard on my HP Pavilion DV - 6 1030us; including all of the screws: Burkina Faso / deleted, etc.  I have the replacement keyboard.  All the instructions I found online seem to be regarding the different models, or just referring to the DV-6 in general family.  I just need the details for my model, 1030us.  I know that they are not too difficult;  I am a technician in A +, it does not help a bit.

  This is the manual that applies to your model. It applies to the series together dv6-1000, but it shows how to remove and replace your keyboard.

  76-78 are the key pages. Screws and positions are clearly identified. You don't need to remove the screen. Be careful with the tablecloth on the switch cover and keyboard cables.

  If you really want the manual, I think that would help to identify your laptop with full p/n.

  Identify the same way I did in my signature with the full p/n, alphanumeric included acharcters.

  Yes, you should be able to get the keyboard replaced.  I would like to get the update of your proof of purchase warranty, anyway.

  The warranty is calculated from the date of manufacture, as imagine you.  It can sit on a shelf for a few weeks or months before it is sold and the warranty is running during this period.  It is always advisable to get the update of the proof of purchase warranty when buying.

  Here's one from e - bay for a ticket, an American that there 6 brackets on top of the keyboard, it's okay. The later will have only four tabs and does not, however when you open you machine, you must confirm this to be sure before you order.

  The CN3230 is a dish * 30pin * I / F connector
