  What happens if you try to apply some (other) window > workspace?

  You can try the list (no matter the 5)).

  The following is a general list of things you can try when the question is not in a specific file and when it is not caused by problems with opening a file from external media, see below. You tried/made some of them already; 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

  If possible / there is, you must record a current work first, of course.

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can make up at least 5 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

  4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);

  5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

  Even worse, you can:

  (6) uninstall, run the vacuum cleaner tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and then reinstall.

  External media: here, it is always recommended to open/save from/to clean hard disk and to copy to and from networks and removable media. You maybe lucky (for a while), but the chances of corruption of files and other unpleasantnesses are immensely greater when you use something else than the hard drive, and it is better safe than sorry.

  I assume you mean that you can't use Edit original, it is because you added the file rather than linking to it.

  When you place the file there is a checkbox at the bottom left of the place called link dialog box when you select and highlight a picture, it will become available and you check to make sure that the file is linked and not integrated now you use Edit Original, but you need to highlight in the first links Panel.

  What is the format of your final work? How are you viewing? What version of Illustrator do you use?

  Here are some common reasons why your type might be missing - is your type completely on the artboard and bleed?

  Is your type on a layer that is set up to print not? Is your white type and position it to overprint?

  CS5 and 10.11 are not supported and will never be supported by Adobe or Apple.

  However it works for some, more actually, but not all. There are sporadic problems with Illustrator, Photoshop seems to be the best. Do not expect an improvement and keep in mind that anyone from Adobe, Apple or anywhere else will fix it.

  If everything seems to work, leave it.  If you have a problem:

  Uninstall all cs4 programs and use the cleaning tool cleaner, use of the CC to resolve installation problems. CC, CS3 - CS6

  Uninstall flash player, Uninstall Flash Player | Windows

  Restart your computer.

  First install indesign.

  then install photoshop

  Then install acrobat and Illustrator

  Then, install the remaining programs of cs4.
