  Great to hear that your problem is finally solved.

  Regarding 2nd query you have raised, it is not possible to have the program running if you turn OFF the computer (it's like saying you want the bulb to keep bright despite off). When stop you the machine, you turn off the power... so there is no way that the current state maintained. When start the computer again the next time it starts on new.

  But there are 2 options that can help you with your problem: -.

  1 SAVE your changes before you close the program, and choose next time when you start the computer

     File ->Open (This way your work is preserved and you need not start afresh next time onwards)
  

  2. instead of turning off the computer, choose to Hibernate. When Hibernate you (and NOT CLOSE) the current state is preserved. This means that if you leave the notebook running he will remain in the same State when you next start your computer the next time.

  The oldest is compared to newer operating systems, it is less likely to work.  If you have been happy with the help of Photoshop 7 then you should be happy with the old operating system as well.  Your options are either to return to a system that supports your software or to buy new software to go with the new system.  CS6 products are still selling as far as I know.  In addition, your only option is to subscribe to the cloud of Creative for Photoshop CC.

  I updated updater manual update and have not updated anything since early December, 01/30/10 I installed the 5 important updates that were listed, I don't remember who they were, after installing the computer needed to restart and after the recovery, the video card is no longer recognized.  I get the BIOS beep code for no video card or bad video memory.  I know that this seems to be a hardware problem, but this computer worked fine until these updates. Now that the video card is not recognized, I can't even get into the BIOS, and still less actually starting windows.   Oh and I took out that graphic card and put in a different one, nVidia PNY GeForce 7900 GS and always get the same error code. I also disconnected and removed the battery from the motherboard to reset the BIOS, still the same problem.

  This problem seems to be due to the updates of Windows, although it could be a coincidence.
  I first you recommend to remove the nVIDIA graphic card and connect the monitor to the onboard graphics card, then try to start the computer.
   
  If the problem persists then I recommend you to contact the computer manufacturer for assistance.

  Yes, confirm this answer of philipp is correct for this problem, the problem is the graphics card intel hd3000 with an old driver current, the easy way is to disable hardware acceleration,... to be honest... I think that workaround and lose all the benefits of hardware acceleration.
