  • Update Flash seems to have bricked my phone; Please do not laugh

I am at a loss here.

So last night I was watching Netflix and YouTube, and the next thing I knew, that Norton NIS started popping up warnings multiple 'Rootkit blocked', and then YouTube stopped working. It seemed that the Flash drive is malfunctioning. It would show a black box empty when the video is, and I would be with the right button on it, I would say just "will not charged animation" in the context menu.

After a few minutes of YouTube not working not at all, I got a dialog box install a Flash update, which usually occurs at startup. Made sense, so I clicked on it, but it does not solve anything. Norton skipped a few messages more "blocked Rootkit' identical and then pops up a message that"reboot is required to continue fixing your computer."

I did backup my most important info, so I'm not completely stupid, but everything as I figured, once I hit the restart, the computer itself in bricks. It won't start Windows. I get an error message, then a screen dialog black BIOS or the POST or what you call asking "start Windows normally" or in "repair" mode Starting loops normally just back to the same error and repair mode dialog asking the boot floppy, which I cannot find at the moment.

Now, if that were the only problem, it's one thing, but here's the real problem:

That treat everything with Flash broken on YouTube and then Flash attempts to upgrade and Norton NIS misunderstanding the Flash update for a rootkit... it's going on my second computer now. I'm not going to run a Flash update, and I'm in no hurry to even restart the computer more, until I understand what just happened here.

If anyone can help me? What could happen?

    It is a 220 X.

Well, thank you for all the answers; There everything went well enough. It seems it was well a virus masquerading as a updated Flash, and I'm inclined to think that it happened because I jumped with months and months of Windows updates.

I had been using a SSD cloned, so I dropped my old drive hard in and went from there, install all Windows updates and antivirus updates. I used a separate computer to scan the SSD infected on a USB adapter, and it turned a simple virus "trogan.gen". Once it has been cleaned, I ripped all my new files on a separate hard drive and wiped the SSD and then used to clone the hard disk again. Back in business.

I guess I could have tried to rescue the SSD without having to shoot anything, but it's so much easier to clone the HDD again, given that I had no new paid software.

    MacBook Pro 2014

Please help with this, I don't know how I managed to spoil it. What can I do to fix? Did a clean install and tried to erase the disc. Yes I know I'm a total fool... to try to create a new empty but still fails with etc - 61. I'm out of my depth here. IM myself kicking. At the moment I have installed OS x on an external HARD drive which I use to this post. IM so afraid, I broke my computer, my mother will kill me!

I have a 16 GB USB key where it remains the way to using that? I'm out of my depth here.

    Hello MSC7XWDC,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

If I understand your message correctly you are trying to do a wipe and installing Mac OS X on your computer, but you're stuck on the part when you create a partition for it.  Because the partition has been erased, you will have to create this boot partition following the instructions below.  Once this is done, you can go through the installation process.

    Partition a boot disk

If you want to partition a disk that you will use to start up your Mac, follow these steps.

Partitioning a disk erases all files on the disc. Don't forget to copy the files you want to keep to another disk before the partition.

You can specify the number of partitions and the size of each of them. If you want to use your Mac OS X startup disk partition, don't forget, it is large enough to install the Mac OS X software and applications, and the files that you will use.

    1. If you are partitioning an external drive, make sure that it is connected to your computer and proceed to step 5.

If you are partitioning of the disk that you used to start your Mac, print this page so that you can refer to it later. To print this page, select print from the Action pop-up menu (looks like a gear).

    2. Choose the Apple menu > restart. Press the command (⌘) keys and R as your computer restarts.

When you see a white screen with an Apple logo in the Middle, you can release the keys.

    3. In the Mac OS X Utilities window, select disk utility and then click on continue.
    4. Select the disk you want to partition, click Partition.
    5. Choose the number of partitions in the pop-up menu Configuration of Volume.
    6. Click on each partition and type a name for this, choose a format and type a size. You can also drag the separator between the partitions to change their sizes. If the name of the partition has an asterisk next to it, it is shown larger than actual size in order to display his name clearly.
    7. If you want to use a partition as a Mac OS X startup disk, click Options, and then choose it the GUID partition scheme.
    8. Click on apply.

After you partition a disk, an icon for each partition of disk appears in disk utility and in the sidebar of Finder Windows.

I think I made something in my turn, that caused the DM to do not be able to recognize.  I have a screenshot of the error, I included it above.

I tried to do a reload of DM that seemed to work but the device cannot yet be found.  I'ave also charged some of my programs by clicking on the file "loader.exe" running.

    Any advice would be helpful.

    Thank you

He did if I ran the .exe, DM file he didn t.

The problem is not resolved, in another forum, it has been suggested that I have to remove the battery and run the update.  It worked, I still don't know why this has happened, but it seems to be OK now.  I worked on restoring the phone to its old self.  Although process when all third party applications must be reinstalled individually.  Now, I'm looking for a backup application that backs up everything including third party applications, what a pain it is.

    Thanks for responding.

  • 2012 15 "rMBP brick; GPU card or logic? Help!

    Hi all

I have a rMBP 15 "launch of 2012 which seems to have bricked this morning. I was working on when he suddenly stopped (the screen turns off suddenly). After that, the power button seemed only intermittently sensitive.

Now the computer does not completely; whenever he begins to start, it stops again over the Apple logo/initial progress bar.  Reset the PRAM and other tests have failed. Start in safe mode gives the same results.

What could happen? My old MBP 2008 suffered the same problem, and it turned to be a reminder on the graphics card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I do not have a Clipboard for a computer.

  • DV6-6c60el: dv6-6c60el bricks Bios

    Hello world

I think I have bricked my bios trying to update with the latest version.

Now it does not start and the screen is still black.

I tried to create a key USB Hp_tool as described here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02693833.

I used the newest tool for my laptop (sp61101.exe), but the 'active' folder in the drive is empty, so I tried to put inside the last bios (sp60655.exe). Unfortunately I can't extract it, it creates just files such as 17FCF1C.exe and F0xTOF1C.exe.

So I tried with an earlier version. I put the drive in the laptop, press WIN + B, the light on the usb drive flashes for awhile as it's reading but then nothing happens, and the LOCKING of UPPER starts flashing the bios twice (corruption). No way I can get the update of BIOS HP screen appear.

    Please can someone help?

    Thanks in advance!

    Riccardo

    Hello @inggaro

Thank you for your inquiry, I'm happy to help you!

I understand that you tried to do a bios update and you think you he bricked.

You have tried to do a recovery of the bios following the directions in a HP C02693833 the document, but failed.

Here is a link where you can download sp61101.exe and save it to the USB key to retry the recovery by the process in the document.

You can also try this. When you are in the bios on the bottom screen there is an option to restore the default values.    Select who can help.

    Good luck!

  • Why 'Rocket Life Messenger' is loaded in my auto task bar?

Does anyone know who, what, when, where, or why there's a 'Life Messenger rocket' loaded in my auto task bar? I can not find the program on my computer. I closed it, deleted every shortcut in "Start-up", but it keeps creeping in. It is not even trying to hide. Thus, it is constantly active. In my view, that it slows down my computer. I did a search on the internet and found a site claiming to have uninstall (http://rocket.fanhow.com/rocket-life-messeger) on this subject. But, I did find it listed, just a download button. He was down right suspicious...

original title: Messenger of life of rocket

HP Photo of the uses of creations RocketLife. If you remove or disable, your program HP photo creations will be will not work.

    Open HP Photo Creations.

He opens a box that does allow you track, supposedly to help offer you ideas for relevant products for your photo creations.

After checking the box 'Allow', RocketLife , are rarely visible. If you DON'T see it, it will disappear very quickly. Once you allow it, is no longer slow your computer either.

    BUT:

In fact, it crashed my computer. It would not start. Microsofts "Startup Repair" has been able to get my computer, but I learned toimmediately to remove any program that I had recently installed such as a music player. Guess what? HP Photo Creations has a music player.

I used Revo Uninstaller to remove HP Photo Creations, because it removes the entire left on files, folders, and registry keys.

If you install a printer, my suggestion is to delete all Photo Creator to prevent a dead computer, this isn't worth it.

  • Streaming audio of ROCKET (external card) for pc, has stopped working.

    Hello

I have a v1 rocket and use only the external memory slot to store audio. In the past I could plug the "rocket" on the PC and just explore memory and listening to music. After that I updated to the latest firmware, it now wants to copy the audio data before playing. This means that I have to wait for centuries (if it is a mixture of 90 min) to hear it. This becomes a real pain if I want to flick between files. She also did navigate the most boring rocket by adding a "MASTER" folder that did not exist before. I got back to the older firmware and restore the default settings, but it still does the same thing.

Anyone offering any insight/help would be highly appreciated.

    Cheers, J

Neither new nor old firmware requires to copy music to your PC. That would be nuts. The problem is the music player of your computer or USB mode on the "rocket" software.

The update of the firmware may have changed your USB mode. Go to settings system/settings/USB Mode and change it. There are actually two modes, MSC and MTP.  (Auto Detect chooses between them, often wrongly.) Try the MTP and MSC to see if you can get the old behavior.

MSC makes your job of rocket as a basic storage drive. You drag and drop the music on it through Windows Explorer.

PSG controlled by Windows Media Player. You send music via Windows Media Player, sync, playlists, etc.

Looks like you were using the before PSG, but it's hard to say without knowing what type of media player on your computer.

The pleasure is that your computer can see a USB mode at a time - each mode appears on your computer (but not the "rocket" itself) as a separate partition. If you send files through the PSG, he sees only these files. If you send them via MSC, then the connection of the PSG will not see these files. Again, this depends on how you used the "rocket" before the change of firmware. .

If you still get the oddities, what is your music player on your computer? Try another, such as Winamp and Media Monkey.

  • Synchronization with rocket

I have 2 computers each with WMP 11. I have synced my rocket with the first computer to download the list of my songs. Now, I want to do the same thing on the second computer with a list of different songs. Can you tell me if this is possible without erasing the first list on the "rocket" and if so, how?

    Thank you.

I can't say for sure about WMP 11, it may act differently than previous versions, but... the Act of "synchronization" in the 1st place, you want WMP to do the same folder music your rocket (exactly) in the folder of your computer. What timing is.

Now, let's say you "sync" your rocket with A computer. All well and good (so far). You have different music, located on another computer B. You plug your rocket. WMP looks around him and sees not songs on this computer that are on your rocket. So, what does do? Exactly what you have been told to do, 'sync '. First it will remove all the songs that are not on the computer is currently connected to (in this case, computer B) and copy all the songs that are on computer B.

A better way to add music from 2 different sources (computers) is to let WMP from the equation altogether and simply drag & drop the files you want from the two computers to your rocket.

In my view "sync" stinks. It is simply too automated to do exactly what you want.

  • Questions about the use of cards microSD w / the "rocket"

Let's say I have a microSD card that is loaded with music, and it is already inserted in my rocket, indexed and working properly.  Now, let's say I have connect my rocket to my computer and add music more on the micro SD through the "rocket" card.  Can I do this without any problem?  The "rocket" then need to re-index the entire microSD card?

How about if I delete music on my microSD card?

    Thank you

The length of the time it takes to do a refresh is function of the number of entries or data that must be read, not the amount of memory used. Whether you have two 4 GB cards. One is full of videos or movies, maybe 2-3. The other card has 500 music files on it, but only 2 of the 4 GB are met. the card with music files will take much more time to update the "more complete" card with 2 or 3 movies.

But the class rating is not really come into play in this update. It is based on the speed of writing on the map, and the most recent as the 16 GB only come to class 2. So I wouldn't get all hung up on that.

To all intent & purpose, class 2 is just as good as a class 6 in these devices. There are many other discussions and no one has yet been able to prove or disprove an advantage of one over the other in use of 'real life' with the music or video files.

Now maybe if it is used in a digital camera where the images are written to the card and you cannot take another picture until it's over. This could be where class differences are more apparent.

  • "Bricks" WRT310n V1

During an update of the firmware I seem to have "bricks" router.

Have you tried TFTP new firmware for the device and everything seems to be going OK i.e. I th WRT and TFTP boot begins and ends right after have downloaded you the firmware but the blue light blinks and I can't access the web administration - the WRT can be the address 192.168.1.1 ping after I downloaded the firmware until I have power cycle and then it cannot be ping until I have begin the flash process new firmware

    Did I miss something?

I had the same problem but mine was because I installed the firmware V2 on a V1 and mine in brick.

I had a really hard time getting installed original firmware, but here are the steps that finally worked.

Downloaded the firmware on my laptop and put it on the root of C:\

renamed the file upgrade.bin (just to make it easier to type)

I have connected my laptop to port 1 and bring my laptop to the network with an IP address of 192.168.1.100 mask 255.255.255.0 subnet and 192.168.1.1 gateway

I opened 2 windows command prompt.

On the left side of the screen, I ran a continuous ping (ping-t 192.168.1.1)

On the right side of the screen, I place a tftp (tftp-I 192.168.1.1 PUT upgrade.bin) at the root (type c:\ and entry to get to the root) but do not hit enter yet.

I then plugged my router, press the reset and hold. Hold it until you see the ethernet port on light will turn off, he will be off for like a second or two. This will take somewhere around 45 seconds to a minute. Once I see the ethernet port out, I let go of the reset and press enter on the tftp Protocol.

About 10 seconds later, I saw the pings were successful, and then a little later I would see the successful transfer.

Then I reset the router, but this time only for 30 seconds.

Once this is done, my router has been restored completely.

    Hope this works for you.

  • Aurora - Council MIO in brick?

Recently did a BIOS update to A11, and DELL-Chris M could talk me through a few problems of memory, stick, thanks.  Shortly after my only installed HARD drive died.  Upgrading to an SSD and an additional memory while I was home.  Fresh installation of Windows 7, following an order of drivers I found out Alienware Arena forum I think.  Hadn't gotten deep into Tesla1856 positions again, stupid me.

Problem - at one point that my MIO card seems to have stopped working.  After reading many, many jobs Tesla1856 (very useful, thanks for all the efforts you have put in) I think I might have bricked it by installing the command center off my disk resource (to February 2010) and then upgrade to the current CC 2.8.9.  Probably should have shocked the MIO before the new installation of W7, but had not yet seen the advice of Tesla.

Current state of computer - well boots, fan works very hard all the time.  CC opens but all time and fan speed see the zero.  I tried the power resets and the withdrawal and replacement of the MIO USB connector.  MIO has an orange light, but he died immediately after stopping, I remember holding the light for a while when I was doing all the memory, bios troubleshooting.   BIOS seems to be unable to locate the MIO card.

Tried using the 32-bit diagnostics Alienware my resource drive, but he does not see MIO or lights or anything either.

1 - use the 32 bit my correct resource drive diagnostics?  I don't think that I have a partition more since I did a clean install on new hard drive.

2 - the only 'unknown' device in my device manager is a USB of something.  I only have my monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected, I suspect that the unknown is the jury MIO on USB1.  its okay?  And only CC provides drivers so if uninstalling/reinstalling CC does not do the trick, no luck?

3 - I tried the troubleshooting that I could find in favorites of Tesla185h, at least what I understood and could have access to all.   removal and replacement of the USB of the MIO card are "reset"?

4 - my main question is, making another fees would install Windows 7 and this time having the unplugged MIO and goes directly to the last CC rather than to install one off my original disc of resources likely to help?  or I'm probably looking for a jury of bricks MIO?

5 - Finally, resembles a MIO Board is ~ $100 new dell or $30 used from various online sources, anyone have experience?

After almost bricking my motherboard do the update of the bios, find 2 bad slots for memory cards (using 4 now vice 6), with a matrix of hard drive completely, all within ten days; I'm a little wary to enter for yet another party, there again, not sure I want to go through the hassle of reinstalling the MIO card to have an opportunity an of again soon.

And frankly, I think I'm ready to spend $30 or 100 just to avoid having to do a fresh install of Windows.  I think that there are 250 or so various updates between W7, office, etc.

At least my computer works now starts, Bios A11 works; but with fans all running all the time, is not a long-term solution, of course.

I'm really trying to understand if there is no operation troubleshooting more to do before ordering a replacement MIO card.

Thank you for advice or assistance.

You have an Aurora aka Aurora R1 (x 58 chipset)

0 - this is bad. It should work.

    http://en.community.Dell.com/Owners-Club/Alienware/f/3746/t/19454040.aspx

1 - Yes, but the download-able version may be newer

    2. it's bad (I think the MIOs bricks look this way)

    3. No, do not reset. It prevents Windows to do it's hardware initial detection on this subject.

4 - if detected in diagnostic (outside of Windows) equipment, sometimes the second Clean-Install work correctly. Weird, but true.

5 - parts are always a gamble. Vendors claim that everything works fine. Sometimes Yes, sometimes no.

6 - another bet on this system. I would have stayed on the A09.

  • iPadPro9.7 said that current operating system 9.3.1 will not update 9.3.2

Tried to update OTA on my iPad 9.7 Pro 9.3.2 this morning - 128 space gray WiFi - and it doesn't let me do. 9.3.1 is the current operating system. I turned off the back. Same status. And then did a hard reboot - equal status. I turned on my iMac (mid 2011 running 10.9.5) try a connected update. No, same iTunes says 9.3.1 on iPad model is the current version.

I still have a gray (1) settings > general > software update on the iPad, but no red (1) on the home screen settings.

Just did a hard reboot and tried the new OTA - still says 9.3.1 update is underway. Once again connected to the iMac and that check for update. "This version of the software iPad (9.3.1) is the current version."

iPod 12,9 Pro went to 9.3.2 What fine OTA, acknowledges iMac iPad mini (original) must be updated so it is not a problem with my iMac or it's OS. Just did the OTA update on iPM and it had the problem where I had to return my ID to get the update to install after you download it (as he did go to 9.3.1). He is installing... in the meantime... still holding... Finally, SUCCESS. [and I forget that there no TouchID]

So my model which would have bricked, if I did the update earlier? And with the new version of update on the Apple servers it just doesn't let me update to prevent it from becoming a brick?

I'm patient. I do not force an update.

Go to settings > general > storage & use iCloud > manage storage (the first) > and if there is an update, delete it. Then go to settings > general > Software Update and try again.

The new bios image is named "bwaa150a.rom".

Anyone know who is the manufacturer of this bios?
If I rename the bios image during a recovery, what 12xxxxx be named?

To my knowledge, it is possible to reflash the EPROM module using the special procedure of crisis of the BIOS. But this crisis BIOS disk for Toshiba computers laptops isn't available for download.
This must be done by authorized maker Toshiba.

But I also read in the forum about those who tried some discs of crisis 3rd party BIOS.
Sometimes it worked, but in most cases, you need advanced help technician.

However, to use the forum search option advanced to search for similar topics on crisis disk BIOS. Otherwise, as I said above: you last chance might be the ASP.
