I have can´t scan in Officejet 6700. Printing from the computer works perfectly.
I have a new 6700 Officejet connected with the USB cable to the computer. (Windows XP) Printing from the computer works perfectly. Sannen works onl + y from time to time. When the attempt at analysis, he says that there is no connection between the scanner and the computer. I changed the USB cable to exclude damage to the cables. I tried all the help files for HP without result. Who please can tell me what is happening
I think I know where banhien is trying to guide you. I'll explain his instructions in more detail below.
1. make sure you are on the desktop view.
2. double-click on the icon on your desktop that resembles your printer.
3. under the section titled scan, you should see "Manage Scan to Computer".
4. click on "Manage the Scan to Computer" and a window that's going to Enable.
5. click on activate to activate computer scanning.
If the icon is not on the desktop, or does not work, you may uninstall and reinstall the printer. If you need to do this, be sure to use the latest version of the software following the link. Hope this helps to clear things up a bit.

Printer all-in-one Photosmart D110A. Printer works OK to computer when printing black and white or in color. But when using the scan or copy feature the printer does a solid black page. This just started recently. If I try to scan a document from the computer, the analysis that results is black Uni. I guess that it is a hardware problem. If this is correct, how can I get it fixed. Who should I call at HP for parts? Can I fix it myself or the printer fatally broken and that I should buy a new printer?

It sounds like the scanner lamp turns off. You can't really repair or replace just the scanner lamp. The way to resolve this would be to replace the entire printer. Check your warranty here. I did a network of residential group with 2 computers with windows 7 Home Edition premium, I share everything vink.

Using the full feature software drivers?
Check the name of the driver that is installed by the printer. Make sure that it shows just the name of the printer.
Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences. Click on Printers & Scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (Officejet 7612)
If the full name of the printer is not correctly, delete and add the printer name back from the list. Click on the sign - to remove the driver and then click on the + sign to add the driver might have to drop-down list to select the name of the printer to add a click.
If you still have problems with it is software related, try the following steps.
Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:
Close all applications.
In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.
