I have CS2 and you bought a new computer. I could not download on my new computer, because it says "PowerPC applications are no longer supported." I contacted customer service and got a link to download cs2 using a different serial number but this download also said "unable to support powerPC applications." I know this is a very old version, but if I buy something that costs hundreds of dollars, I want this program to be effective.

Well, this problem was caused by Apple not Adobe.

In 2005 - 2006, Apple has changed the processors in their computers from PowerPC to Intel, which means that no software written for PowerPC (including CS2) will work on Mac to today Intel processor.

If you want to continue to run the 11 year old software, you have unfortunately need an old Mac to run it.

Current Macs can only run Adobe CS3 and later.
