But now, I hit a problem. Another folder in my library contains several subfolders, each containing a number of photos (a mixture of RAW steals (naves) and jpg). But try as I can (choose the file under source, select the folder parent as a source, try to copy or move them, instead of adding them), nothing seems to work. Since they do not appear in the preview pane, I can't import them. It does appear that this a Subfile where the problem exists, but I don't see anything that is different from the others (names of files under all use the same structure - yyyy-mm-dd_custom name, and pictures in all subfolders are adopting the same denomination structure too - yyyy-mm-dd_sequential number_custom name.) NAVE/JPG. So what I am doing wrong? Any ideas please.

  It is possible that the images in this particular subfolder were taken in your camera in RAW + JPEG.  If so, you will need to go to preferences under the general tab and make sure the box "processing JPEG files files next to raw as separate photos" is checked.

  

  However, assuming that this is the case, there is really no reason to import the JPEG file if you already have the RAW file.

  Yes. Find LR catalog file in Edit/settings/general catalogue. Close LR and go to this place. The catalog file is one that ends by .lrcat - move it where you want.   Hmmm...   Never tried, but I "think" it should work.   The reader will need to named exactly something on the new computer, as it was on the old.

  1. on the old computer, go to {user folder} / music/iTunes and move the files on the external hard drive.

  2. on the new computer in iTunes, go to Preferences > advanced and not select "copy of the file to the iTunes Media folder.

  3. always in this same window under "iTunes Media folder location", click on change.   Now select the location on the external hard drive, you have moved the files too.

  Unfortunately, now is not impossible to recover, image of hard drive, but with the only recovery disk. You can copy only to someone who has the same laptop with hard drive recovery record.

  I recently bought an Equium L20-197 and I thought to install a larger HARD drive.
  I wanted to know what the maximum size of HARD drive that can be installed on an Equium L20-197 (I guess it's 120 GB, as it is on the L20-187 but I'm not 100% sure)

  I have also been seaching for the IDE drives and found a list of sites who have PATA, ATA100 etc. are also the IDE drives? (I checked the wiki and articles all point Yes, but a little more confirmation would not hurt)

  I was also wondering if the HARD drive I install must be brand toshiba (or if it even makes a difference).

  2. you cannot boot from the caddy. My suggestion: use for normal Bay and 2 TB SSDS in the caddy. You both what you want.
