  Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

I always have an ID of the paper version of my community college, as the only form of valid evidence that I was a student, my four year old ID has been moved.

  It is a disc that was purchased at the retail store?  If so you can download the trial version of Xp Home on the Microsoft Web site and run the installation, during the instalation when it prompts you to register the product or ask for the key you can enter your key.
