I think that now it is linked to an update of Windows but which when I certainly don't know.  When I do a system clean reinstall the EPG download will temporarily (I did twice now) but after just a couple of updates and when Windows update has done been thing guide refused once more to download. How the world would be a person understand this because when I do reinstall the system there are about 150 updates waiting to download?

  Come on Microsoft Engineering people must certainly be a solution to this problem if anyone cares enough to explore the substantive issue. It seems that there are many, many others having the same problem.

  The old post of 2006 has an explanation detailed on the error code 13 and the same thing applies for Vista too, this is why I mentioned this one.

  I understand your frustration. The problem is essentially due to firewalls or things of internet security or antivirus interference.

  Windows 8 key does not expire so you can install it at any time, but the free Media Center key expires. After 1/31, you will be able to buy the Media Center in the App store.

  Thank you for your reply and my apologies for not recognizing sooner. However, problems went much deeper when my computer crashed. Hard drive kept saying that it was full and therefore would not accept certain instructions. All now corrected with a new hard drive which has solved printing problems. Thanks again.

If I restart/turn off / down pc WITHOUT closing a firefox session, he will come with the screen 'well, it's embarrassing"and list the TWO sessions to restore.   If the Time Capsule and MacBook Pros are not on the same network, the MacBook is not backup in the time Capsule. You probably see what snapshots leaving MacBook on the local disk, until the two are reconnected. If you don't want that to happen, disable Time Machine on a different network.

  This problem exists since the 1st Media Center. SP2 and SP3 had a difficulty, but it is obvious that it doesn't always. The same problem still exists in Vista today with a lot of other carried over from XP. System restore would work, but you do not have any good restore points so reinstall an operating system seems to be your only option.

  You probably don't want to do an OS reinstall you need for Media Center, but since it does not at all, you might want to play then remove the Media Center updates and or SP3 and reinstall them.
