  Adobe provides no more upgrade to Acrobat X or XI, the only available update is Acrobat DC that too many Acrobat X & IX only.

  You will not be able to update Acrobat 9 Pro Extended for DC.

  So in this case you will have to purchase the full application of Acrobat DC Plans and prices | Adobe Acrobat DC.

  OK - SUCCESS, albeit in an unexpected way.

  When I open it I asked me if I would like to install some plugins/upgrades/something something. One was a PDF print option and I don't remember the other. This time I unchecked the boxes and WHAMMO - Acrobat opens right. If anyone has this problem there is the solution!

  I just bought a new computer because my old computer with system problems. Therefore, I need to install my Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on my new computer. I'm operating Mac OS X Yosemite. I insert the disk and drag items to the Applications folder, as software on Mac installations. I then double click on the Adobe Acrobat icon to install, he invites me to install the 2 options, I check both and click to install.   Versions of Windows beyond Windows XP are not entirely compatible with Acrobat 6. The first version of Acrobat that is supported by Windows 7 is Acrobat 8.1 (is no longer licensed by Adobe). The latest version of Acrobat: Acrobat Columbia, six versions more recent than Acrobat 6. You need to upgrade to get all the features of Acrobat.
