  I'm new to scripting InDesign and need to write a JavaScript very complex for InDesign using the Toolbox. My concerns are if CS5/5.5 users will be able to run the script written for CS6. He knows incompatibilities with different versions? If Yes, where can I find a document to compare the differences. I will probably need support the CS5 and CS6 (and anything in between), so a possible solution would be to build for CS5, but if I do, will I'm missing out on all the new key features of CS6?

  There are differences of 1 DOM version to another and they can and will break your script, if you have not designed to handle. For example:

  If you want to use script like me labels (because they are awesome) the following will break if you use CS5 or later:

  app.activeDocument.pageItems.item("myLabel").remove();
  

  So, you have to force the DOM to V6.0. But when you do so be sure to come back to the original version after you're done or you can create more problems. This can be done like this:

  app.scriptPreferences.version = 6.0; // CS4's DOM version
  app.activeDocument.pageItems.item("myLabel").remove();
  app.scriptPreferences.version = 10.2; // Current CC DOM version
  

  It is very annoying (for me at least), so I wrap functions that require DOM changes with a customized version changer to handle this for me. Regarding the list of incompatibilities? Not sure, maybe someone here has one, I know that jongware has a website with all the DOM password 1 version to another. This can be found here:

• Update for CS5 to CS6 - runtime library error

  Well, this is going to be a bit long.  Sorry!

  We used PS CS5 Extended for 2011 and have it a license for 2 PC...  We recently bought CS6 to replace.  CS6 I installed on my PC, without uninstalling CS5.  After doing so, I registered CS6, thinking (and want to) the two would be available, so I could continue to use CS5 until I got all my plugins/actions/extensions installed in CS6.  Until about 2 hours ago I was able to use CS5 without problem.  I have closed the CS5, open CS6, so I could install an extension.  When I opened CS6, the dialog box allow editing to the PC user accounts has been posted.  I gave him.  But, CS6 never opened.  When I look in the Task Manager, it lists Adobe Photoshop Lite Portable, but that's all.  And now, when I tried to open CS5 once again, he gave me the 'trial' screen that invites for the license key.

  Yes, when everything happened, I decided to uninstall both versions and start over with just CS6.  I opened Control Panel, clicked on PS CS6 and click on uninstall.  Said she completed successfully.  But, when I try the same thing with CS5, it gives me

  CS5 help is usually located in/usr/Library/Preferenecs/chc.487.../Local Store/Help folder.

  CS6 help is generally downloaded to the shared location, unless it is limited. In this case the folder above can be used to download help.

  Yes, the content setting in the Adobe help Manager offline, will work with CS5 and CS6 and help our customers.

  'Status to expired' usually means the State when local content goes stale, and new content offline is available on Adobe.com servers. Yes, a user can click on the button download/upgrade to update to refresh the content expired with the Adobe help Manager.

  Regarding the launch of CS5 product help, I'll need some more information to provide an answer.

  1. which product and version of CS5 is the customer problem.

  2. What is the status of help downloaded for the same product (CS5 or CS6 Adobe help Manager)

  3. is the user able to see help downloaded in the above files

  Here's the situation, I bought the version of CS5 for Mac's teaching a few years back. I have now bought a decent PC, so I initially wanted to do a change of platform, but the office staff aide said that I could do only with CS6 so now I want to move to CS6 so I can perform the Swap of the platform.

  Hi again, just curious to those who have moved forward. are important enough to justify the update for cs5 extended?

  I think, if for no other reason than the camera Raw 7 changes.  PS the CS6 is more stable than its predecessor, and I find I'm getting things with it in less time and with better results.  Hard to beat!

  My best advice for you is to download the free trial version and give it a whirl for a month.  If you can't find it is worth, well, you can make your own decision.

  Another thing to keep in mind that all indications at the moment are that if you do not upgrade to CS6, you will not receive any opportunity to upgrade in future reduced from CS5 to CS7.

  If you do a search for "online swf to video", you will find a number of converters.

  If you have the original FLA you can open it in Adobe animate, and who can make a very good quality of video export.

  If you just want to view the SWF file, double click it, there is a very good chance that you have installed Flash Player.

  No matter what press you can read it, Flash Player is built into Chrome, IE 11 and Edge, and it is always available as a plugin for other browsers. More or less all the machines can still see Flash based Web pages. The user may need to click a button to give permission to the page to use a plugin, but it is not too hard to do.

  I would like to know if it is possible to have imported the CS6 pantone CS5 Charter

  Our production line require specific settings in the color that for now, only CS5 has. Because recently, I tried upgrading my artists to CS6, and some of them are still on the CS5, we meet a few heavy problems on CS6. CS6 creates LAB colors and does not deal with CMYK. Is it possible to save on our old chart CS5 CS6? And to stop creating new color in the format LAB?
