  All remote flashes need a way to communicate with the camera.  They can be wired or wireless.  The wireless system can be optical or radio.

  The key is that there is nothing built in the 6 d to control a flash... If you need something to do this work.

  The 430EX II can be triggered via optical signal as a remote "slave" flash (430EX II cannot function as a mode of 'master' (aka 'Commander').)

  The method of Cannon to control the 430EX II is to use either:

  (a) a "Speedlite ST - E2 transmitter.

  (b) speedlite another able to work in "master" mode (and there's a long list... the 600EX / 600EX-RT, the 580EX II, and curiously the 90EX is actually able to perform a 'master').

  I recommend either the 600EX-RT (which would be the basis for additional units 600EX-RT in the future that would give you radio trigger) or find a 580EX II.  I probably spend on the 90EX and promote a ST - E2 if desired subject is a way to trigger the remote flash and don't actually want a flash.  The 90EX is not very powerful, so it is not particularly suitable as a stand-alone flash, unless you use it simply as a "fill" flash for close subjects.)

  There are also many 3rd party triggers, but the vast majority of them won't let you not use E - TTL (they would be "manual" only) and the units which support E - TTL will be too expensive to buy just a high flash range running as Commander.

  You have two ports thunderbolt on the end 2013 iMac, but not HDMI port. You will need a mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapterand a length of cable HDMI to your TV. If this TV is a model of 4K, then she might want more recent HDMI 4 K wiring (1. 4 (b) specification. You may be able to pick up this adapter to a local Apple or computer store.

  I have a length of HDMI cable connected to my TV (not a Panasonic) with the mini adapter DisplayPort to HDMI adapter connected to it. I turn on the TV and changing to that HDMI port, then turn on the Mac. My Mac screen is duplicated on television. According to what default settings are configured in your TV, you may need to modify the program to look a HDMI (normal, cinema, big screen, etc.) to taste. Start with the default setting.

  Do you mean "activate"? Registration is optional; Activation is not. You don't have not given us enough information to targeted assistance. What type of XP installation disc are you using? What product key you installed with (please do not post!)? What happened when you talked to the man during telephone activation?   Your use of the word "files" (in the plural) still makes me believe that you have not checked the permissions on the folder that is appropriate (in the singular).

  You must determine the Destination of the Lightroom Import dialog window Panel and see which folder Lightroom is really tr6ing to copy photos in (which may have been accidentally changed and is not what you may have used in the past) and change the permissions to write to this folder.
