I just brick my HD?

Although I'm normally super careful, I think I just do something bad, don't know if I can recover from here.

My macbook pro screen is dead, so I wanted to change the internal hard drive to an another unused macbook pro I had to hang out.

I unscrewed the back, removed the old macbook hard drive and insert the new one - reverse the plu macbook and realized, I never stop the mac.

I tried to restart the mac with the newly inserted hard drive but I get the icon "no hard disk".

I removed the hard drve and tried to mount another mac and I get "the disk you inserted is not readable by this computer" and the option to initialize, ignore or eject.

Install the HARD drive in the external case 2.5 inch USB and secure with new MacBook Pro could save the data.

    My BIOS version is l58.

I don't know where we know it's in the white list or not. I also read something about your setup of the BIOS so it will support the wireless cards.

There is no way to do what I can recommend. The white list includes only those cards to the origin of the plant. In your case, the laptop is so old that you won't have the option to use a dual band N card let alone a 802.11ac card. If you explore the dark recesses of the internet you can find a BIOS "hacked" which will supposedly remove from the whitelist but I refuse to participate in such a thing that you have no way of knowing if the hacked BIOS also has a rootkit or other malicious code, he or she will maybe just brick your laptop.

  • HP Photosmart m17 is now just a brick for $300?

Sprry for posting in this section this, but HP is not even a card for video cameras from HP or customer support. They have been completely snubbed out rather than update forware.

This camera is from 2007, a 5.2 MP, Zoom Lense, LCD, video Photo & with a charging Dock, I remembered to pay over $300 for this at the time, I wanted to get a gun, but people said go with HP, should of stuck to my first intuition.

IT supports Windows 91, Windows 95, Windows xP, Windows Vista

-I use old software no, I use this futurustic 2009 technology called 'Windows 7' which came out less than 3 years since this device.

I know that HP is the type of company to be bored with a product and stop making it (HP Touchpad) and then coming back a year after that, they claim that they leave the computer company just to get out with the HP 7

Every two years after print via a printer HP JAM or not print, it may be my last straw for this company,

A tech support supervisor said that there is an update to Windows 7 on this computer.

I have the software 1999 can I continue to use it on my computer

    No.:

-Not this unit works very well and is not dated technology

I want to know how I can get my photos on a Windows 7 computer, or I need to be told I have a brick and remind myself never to buy HP again.

Someone please understand my fustration and help me with this problem.

    Hello sells HP-brick-(LOL)

I tried to look towards the top of your camera model. Maybe you thought the m517 by chance because I can't find a m17 around on Google.

Are you talking about teathering your camera to the computer (with a USB cord connection) and there is no driver compatibility?

If so, can I, I propose another solution?

I guess he uses a removable memory (SD card) card. If Yes...

As a professional photographer, I NEVER teather any camera to computer to recover pictures or video. It drains the battery faster and there is more chance of corruption if something failed in the connection. Yes you did it for years in this way without problem, but I still say it's not worth risking.

I always prefer to use a card reader. If your computer supports USB 3.0, then a USB 3.0 drive will be even better. If you use a laptop, they usually have a SD card slot.

You never have to worry about camera driver compatibility in this way.

Also, I do not use 3rd party software to capture my images with. I use the old fashioned drag and drop or copy and paste the images download method. This way I know where I put my photos.

If I understand your situation, then I hope this helps somehow.

If I can answer any other questions, please ask.

I rebooted all the usual culprits (router, computers, time capsule) and did a hard reset on the time capsule itself, but still can not find airport utility "" my TC.

If you Hard Reset the TC, it is normal that AirPort Utility cannot find the TC... given that AirPort utility displays only devices of the airport that have already been configured.  The TC is not configured, so it's a Station of Base AirPort "nine" with the default settings.

Start over and set up the TC to help "Assistant" Installation of Apple on your Mac or your iPhone / iPad.  After the back if you need some advice on this.

  • IPhone 4S brick after put 9.3.5 updated

I have an iPhone 4S which recently prompted me to download and install the latest 9.3.5 update.  At halfway through the process stopped updating, and now the phone keeps stuck in mode 'connect to iTunes '.

I tried restore and update regularly through iTunes as well, and the restore process ends with an error (29). Error message is:

The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (29).

    1. my phone is a factory unlocked phone, so no Jailbreak etc has never been done

    2. I was able to update my phone until 9.3.4 with no problems before this

    3. I changed the usb cords, computers etc.

    4. my iTunes is the more up-to-date version.

Has anyone else seen this problem as well on the other iPhone 4S? Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

just tried to do the same thing on my 4S - bricked with the request to connect to iTunes - which did not help if - error 29 (or 39?) ensures the Outlander when I have that either opt to choose to update or restore

  • IntelHD chips in MacBook Air start just less efficient?

So I have a Core i5 MBA. 4 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, and it is probably the strangest machine I've ever owned.

Speakers just didn't work at all until yesterday when like magic, it started working, which - as a technician 16 - who actually me mystified but little matter... audio works now, so I do not take it any further.

The problem, for that I'm here, it's that it's all around slow. Moving in the dock, the magnification is extremely agitated, scrolling is jerky, move the mouse happens to a framerate so poor that I'd swear I was on an old Compaq to 20 year.

To tell the experience that I have-it feels like any Windows machine would be if it was freshly restored without the graphics drivers... except on a Windows machine, I can just track down the hardware of the device ID, find the graphics driver and everything is smooth again... but I'm not too well versed in the language of Macish. What I did the research, the graphics for my Intel HD3000 machine driver is bundled with updates so that it seems that I must rely on kext tools at the terminal to * maybe * trigger my graphic extension.

None of this seems lead me anywhere I tried internet replicated several times, followed with every update available 10.7 has access to... and evidence of pages of search results at least 15 of things without success. Everything that happens seems also my brick machine, if I try to upgrade to El Capitan on the App Store. Tested the SSD to see if this might be the culprit, checked everything very well. I think that the integrated gfx would mean that if my gfx card was dead, I wouldn't be able to pass material Diagnostics (or even put on with success).

Only thing I have not tried until now becomes the DMG for ElCapitan and create a bootable disc see if the last just quick MacOSX solves everything (that I'll do tonight).

If that gets me nowhere... What could be the problem?

  • uppdate iOS 9.3 bricked my iPad2, now what?

    iOS 9.3 COMPLAINT

I've been asked for some time updating the iOS 9.1 on my 2 32 GB iPad for version 9.3.

Apple says that iPad is working well so far and I have had no personal reason to update, but "you should always upgrade to the latest version" for reasons of security...

So I did. After that my iPad asked to connect to iTunes.

So I connected. My options were 'Update' or 'Factory Reset'.

I chose "update" a few times, but all ended in an error message (different every time).

I even tried to update via iTunes updated on several different computers.

So finally, I resorted to a Factory Reset.

The difference is visible is that now, not even my iPad ID present in iTunes when you try to connect.

It seems that the attempt to update totally and completely brick my iPad.

    Suggestions anyone?

EVIL - the _lead_me_to_believe_ just updated, it's just my iPad in brick.

Here's how I see what happened, and what didn't update to inform me.

The first question here was the download (1.33 GB) took an hour to complete with iTunes.

However, after 15-20 minutes the updater had fed up and said something to the effect that he didn't connect to the download server and offered for the update or restore again.

This message is confusing. My computer connects to everything else, so why not Apple download server. Some error messages suggest that the Hosts file needs to be reset. Why? After all, he has not presented a problem before, or for other programs. Another message (1639?) provided that the download is still in progress the idea, '' maybe. '' And it has been.

If I answer the "Connection failed" message by selecting the update again, the download continues, but since it takes an hour to complete the download, try the same the second fails with the message "cannot connect". And even a third update attempt will fail in the same way.

Instead, the update should have told me something to the effect of: "now, waited about fifteen to twenty minutes for the download to complete, so I'm getting impatient. However, I checked with my download manager and he told me that the download progress always with an estimated time of arrival in about 45 minutes. If you think you can speed up the transmission (for example...) then press Cancel and solve the problem, otherwise the update will continue. "Of course, the download page should be displayed so I could easily see the progress of the download for my part.

_knows_ iTunes as the download progresses, then what good me with "unexpected, not able to connect" messages.

(Even if the Hosts file was the problem, I think that the update might be more useful because the solution seems to be (temporarily) replace it with a standard hosts file. The path-> error message from Apple description-> Microsoft Host difficulty description-> some editor to edit a standard-> new-> Save Backup old file, seems too complex compared to just update provide the standard file hosts for me.)

The second issue was that, when the update file has been downloaded and the update of the iPad has begun some initial activity there. A result that I see is that the serial number of the iPad is most recognized (not so comforting).

In iTunes, I see "expects the iPad" (to answer, I guess).

On the iPad, I can see a greyed on the Apple logo and a progress bar is empty (I suppose, he is waiting for the download start)

My conclusion is that the iPad is ready to receive the update, but that iTunes has not yet been allowed to send.

So, I started searching the Internet for 'update stuck forever', but this time I thought I should give it an hour before I completely gave up on it.

It really looked like a situation of blocking for about twenty minutes or thereabouts - but here, the bar began filling so the update of progress could be completed.

During these twenty minutes I should have received a comforting feedback to make myself understood there was work going on in the background. I don't know what took so long. (My internet connection is slow does not affect USB download, it should?). OK, I could see some flashing lights, but I interpreted as "still establishing a connection between iTunes and iPad, or vice versa. Thus, 'always blocked.

I often pretend to my friends Apple infrastructure is robust and easy to use. But this challenge really three days I wonder if it is more valuable...

Anyway, for now I'm going back the Samsung pad I bought yesterday... hoping that Apple will respond positively to this info.

The iPhone is in recovery mode. You will need to connect to your computer, and then restore it via iTunes on your computer.

  • iPad 9.7 Pro in brick after 9.3.2

Tried to install on a new iPad 9.3.2 (1 month) Pro.

    Update hangs forever.

It gives instruction to connect to itunes.

iTunes gives message to restore then download update, then just dies.

Is there some sort of quality control of updates from Apple?

Bricking of new equipment is not something that should never happen.

    My new policy,

Never install an update up to 3 weeks after release and research through problems

1 month, take it to where you bought it and get a replacement. That's why you have a warranty. This was bloody easy.

  • Satellite U505-S2970, brick load very hot

    Hello
I just bought a Satellite U505-S2970 14.1 "laptop with Windows 7 Best Buy." I have loaded for the first time, and in doing so, the brick load got very, very hot. Not really hot, but warm. Is this normal? I'm new to Toshiba. All my other chargers mobile phone do not get this hot.

    Thank you

    Hi mate

Well, what to say. You will always notice a hot power adapter.
I have two laptops at home and in both cases the AC adapters are hot. They are not hot, but hot

It is difficult to say what temperature should be ok, but the party doesn't have to be hot.
Because I don t know how hot your adapter is, I highly recommend contacting a local ASP (certified partner) in your country for an AC adapter control.
The adapter needs to be replaced if necessary

Friend of don t worry the guarantee must cover all

  • HP recovery mode first V13 = brick

I tried to update the time on my computer, but when I connect the first for the HP connectivity kit it bricks that the calculator with the first HP V13 recovery mode and HP connectivity kit is waiting for connection.

I just updated the kit of HP connectivity with firmware 20141203

    Hello

The recommended procedure is listed below.

However, sometimes connection problems can cause updates failed, try the following:

Try a different USB port on the 1A)

1 (b) If you use a USB hub, try without the USB hub

1 c) If you do not use a USB hub, try a USB hub (weird I know, but one person mentioned it helped)

    (2) try another USB cable (no matter what standard USB cable, with the same type of connector should work)

After installing the connection kit, the next update method is recommended:

    • Connect your HP Calculator first via the supplied USB cable (connected directly, do not use a USB hub)
    • Start the HP connectivity Kit
    • Click the tab of the calculator
    • Right click on the name of the first HP you want to update (it would be that you connected before starting this procedure)
    • Write down the version number, and then click the OK button
    • Click the Help Menu and select Check for update
    • Look for the pop-up box to update, check the version number that is newer than the one you want to update.
    • Then click on the download button
    • That's it, you will see the update being loaded and installed on your calculator screen. Don't click too quickly out of the HP Connectivity Kit, wait a minute or two after the completion.
    • In addition, there are a step in the connectivity Kit where it is advisable to back up the version that you had before the procedure, just in case. This way, you have a way to cover again.

    Best regards.
