IntelHD chips in MacBook Air start just less efficient?

So I have a Core i5 MBA. 4 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD, and it is probably the strangest machine I've ever owned.

Speakers just didn't work at all until yesterday when like magic, it started working, which - as a technician 16 - who actually me mystified but little matter... audio works now, so I do not take it any further.

The problem, for that I'm here, it's that it's all around slow. Moving in the dock, the magnification is extremely agitated, scrolling is jerky, move the mouse happens to a framerate so poor that I'd swear I was on an old Compaq to 20 year.

To tell the experience that I have-it feels like any Windows machine would be if it was freshly restored without the graphics drivers... except on a Windows machine, I can just track down the hardware of the device ID, find the graphics driver and everything is smooth again... but I'm not too well versed in the language of Macish. What I did the research, the graphics for my Intel HD3000 machine driver is bundled with updates so that it seems that I must rely on kext tools at the terminal to * maybe * trigger my graphic extension.

None of this seems lead me anywhere I tried internet replicated several times, followed with every update available 10.7 has access to... and evidence of pages of search results at least 15 of things without success. Everything that happens seems also my brick machine, if I try to upgrade to El Capitan on the App Store. Tested the SSD to see if this might be the culprit, checked everything very well. I think that the integrated gfx would mean that if my gfx card was dead, I wouldn't be able to pass material Diagnostics (or even put on with success).

Only thing I have not tried until now becomes the DMG for ElCapitan and create a bootable disc see if the last just quick MacOSX solves everything (that I'll do tonight).

If that gets me nowhere... What could be the problem?

There is no such thing as disabling Lightroom 5.7. Just uninstall the software.

Looks like you have installed 6 Lightroom on two of your computers (including the MacBook Air). In this case, you must find and launch Lightroom 6 (not Lightroom 5.7 or any other version of Lightroom 5) on the MacBook Air and then in the menu help, select logout.

If you got less than a month ago, it is still under warranty of 90 days (I think), so take it back to the Apple Store you got OR no matter what Apple Store close to you if you bought it online.

I just upgraded from the LR5 LR6 on my Macbook Air to OS 10.9.5. LR5 photos 38K, especially on an SSD connected with 2 years on an internal hard drive, gave a 48 GB LR5 catalog. Starting LR6, I decided to import all the photos of 38K stored on my SSD to form the LR6 catalog, but it is now 108 GB. Is he aware would be so much bigger than LR5 LR6 catalog? Should I redo, selecting the LR5 catalog to import to the LR6?

I don't pretend to re-do an import, I do not import or re - import at all.

You can delete the catalog Lightroom 6 and his insights that you created. You want to have the Lightroom 6 to upgrade the 5 Lightroom catalog file. Use the file-> open catalog and point to the 5 Lightroom catalog file. Once it is successful, you can also delete or archive the 5 Lightroom Catalog and delete its previews. As a piece of advice, never re - import photos. NEVER, as in... do not, do not, don't go anywhere near it.

Regarding the size of the preview, you can control this in Lightroom under the catalog tab file management settings.

  • MacBook air does not start - symbol of circle/slash

Hello! I hope someone can help...

MacBook Air 13.3 model "2013 will not start. It froze and when restarting, this symbol was presented to the screen:

I searched the web and followed all these instructions, including disk etc. target mode, nothing works:

    http://www.Macworld.co.UK/how-to/Mac/10-steps-take-when-your-Mac-wont-start-up-o r-turn-on-3423817.

When I ran the file system consistency check, I received the following message appears on the screen:

I then ran into Recovery Mode disk utility and the SSD was OK, so I couldn't fix it:

Then, I ran Apple Diagnostics and received this message:

According to codes of reference diagnostic Apple, PPM002 is a problem with modules of memory onboard:

Apple Diagnostics: Codes - Apple Support reference

I then used DiskWarrior 5. Sometimes I could get it to rebuild the directory, and allowed me to access the SSD and copy the directory of the user, so I recorded all the data. Sometimes I could not rebuild, and here I got this message:

I also tried to reinstall OS X from OS X Internet Recovery, but he did not finish the process. He stops and says that it cannot continue. The Installer log has this as the last entry:

Sep 19 22:46:14 MacBook Air Viewer [509]:-[SFLListItem synthesizeMissingPropertyValues] was not being updated to bookmark for element (null) [EA0E40C9-D4E9-44EC-B18B-97870E1F573F] - URL: file: / / / var/root/Downloads/with error error Domain = NSCocoaErrorDomain Code = 260 "the file could not be opened because it does not exist."

My last chance is to restore time M

It would seem, therefore, that the DDI is OK, but the edge welded RAM is corrupt.

What can I do? The MBA is lost? Is there anything I can do to get it working?

  • MacBook Air wouldn't startup after starting get disk error

I was getting full boot disk error on my Macbook Air 2012 model a few times, and then it stopped starting (folder flashing with question mark began to appear). I followed the instructions on this site If flashing question mark appears when you start your Mac - Apple Support

but failed to copy data from the drive on an external hard disk. I could see my boot (MacintoshHD) on the disc utilities drive, but could the volume seems to be not mounted.  The size of the disk is 128 GB and only 12 MB seems to be free.

1 has started the macbook in recovery mode. In disk utility, run check disk and repair utilities disk for the startup disk (MacintoshHD). No problems in the generated logs. The volume is not mounted and is dimmed.

2 selected MacintoshHD and tried to unlock it. The system tried for a while, and the password window disappeared after some time with the MacintoshHD via disk utility.  When I restart the machine again in recovery, disk MacintoshHD reappears in the same situation.

    3. I was able to start the macbook after installing a new version of OS X in an external hard drive. During the installation of OS X, I couldn't copy the data from the volume MacintoshHD (possibly the drive is locked).

    4. I could not start my macbook in safe mode.

    My query is-

    1. I had not backed up my data by any means. What are my current options to copy my data MacintoshHD?

    2. because the MacintoshHD is locked and attempts to unlock it had no disk utility, it will help if I start my macbook target disk mode, connect to another mac via a thunderbolt cable and try to copy data?

    3. What are my options now to restore my macbook? Clear my boot drive (MacintoshHD) and reinstall OS X?

    Thank you

The next trick could unlock your boot drive.

  • MacBook air does not start in safe mode

    Hello

I have a MacBook air 2015 and my disk got full and now I can not connect with my user. The progress bar stuck at 100%, and the system won't let me connect. I have read that I need to start in safe mode but I can't do it. My MacBook does not sound at startup and even if I press the SHIFT key the system takes me to safe mode. The only thing I can do is to go into recovery mode.

Can someone tell me please in the right direction.

You can use target disk Mode to access the MBA:

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201462

When you delete or copy files on the MBA, remember to empty the trash.  Then only the space is allocated for the new data.

    Ciao.

  • Start to 2008 MacBook Air problem!

Hey all! I recently bought a MacBook Air in 2008. When I went to power it the Apple logo and the loading bar started to load. But he only go about 5% and then it turns off, it makes a little noise of "pop". Any help appreciated. Thank you!

You will need to use the original installation media (10.5 Leopard) and see if you can start the MBP with the DVD.  If you proceed with the installation of os x.

When you see a menu bar, click on utilities.

In the drop-down list, select disk utility.

Run disk utility > first aid > verify and repair.

If the Player cannot be repaired, it must be replaced.

    Hi shangshen,

If you subscribe to subscription Creative Cloud, then open the application of creative Office Cloud > go to the Apps section > search for Photoshop, if its installed, then you can open it from there and if it's not, then just install it.

Otherwise, you can also check under application for application to install everything.

    Kind regards

  • All of a sudden will not start Photoshop [on a Macbook Air]

    Hi all

I'm on a MacBook Air with OS X 10.10.2 and I use Photoshop once a month, but now I really need, and it does not start:

-As soon as I click on the Photoshop icon I get "Unable to open Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 because of a problem." And when I click on the "Report" button... "I get a very technical message (see below).

-J' used Photoshop on this machine for about a year without problem, but recently I had a problem and needed to recharge my Time Machine backup.

-I don't know if the problem occurred immediately after the restore or not.

-J' read countless discussions on various forums, but nothing explained my problem exactly. I suspect a problem with my paths and permissions (since I read a report that restoring from a TimeMachine causes these problems sometimes), but I don't know which way is corrupted/missing/illegible.

-J' tried to create a new account admin and Photoshop from here. It did not work.

-I don't mind reinstalling, but I don't have a picture of the installer. I started with Photoshop 6, then updated to CS2 and CS4 and CS5. I have all the serial numbers but not all the images-updated.

I would be grateful for clues on how to diagnose further and some problem.

Thank you very much in advance!
