  I recently purchased Lightroom 5 and I thought it came with a serial key for download instantly on my computer. However it comes with a CD and my PC doesn't have a CD player. I was wondering if Adobe can give me a code of installation in order to install it without having to return to them.

  The serial number of the computer has nothing to do with the product key for Windows.

  What happened when you tried to install Xp with sp3? If you do not have the original for the computer that you use to install Windows?
