  You cannot transfer the data. At best you can return on a mast and apply it to the plus-res images, but of course there will be artifacts. you really shouldn't waste tiem and simply do and redo the roto.

• Stabilization - after effects CC help

  Hi all!

  I work with the new Warp stabilizing VFX for the first time (worked a bit with stabilizer Warp in CS5/6) and I am having some problems with three different clips.

  When I saw how it was easy to work with the track points, I was very excited and assumed it would be a quick job, but it wasn't the case. I don't know if I have just a simple wrong value or if I go about it the wrong way.

  Anywho, I work with 1080p29.97 images that I did not personally kill. The first two clips (more photos) involve about 20 minutes of film a piece that I accelerated several thousand percent in first CC to show some 'timelapse '. They where obviously shot on tripods, but they were not sufficiently guaranteed and which I suppose was wind shake is quite noticeable with the aforementioned acceleration. So I turned to stabilizing Warp VFX for help but a few problems:

  For this one I put the Warp subspace method just for fun to try something different the next clip I'll talk, on which I applied Position, scale and Rotation.

  Then, I put the framing to stabilize, crop and scale automatically assuming that the more options I give him to stabilize the better. I can't think about that quite wrong, however, it seems appropriate in a sort of sense of passage. For the points of the track, several executives had applied to that I deleted the moving clouds. Assuming that with the help of a moving object to stabilize an entire scene is counterintuitive, I went through frame-by-frame and removed all track points anywhere on the mountain. I want the mountains to be perfectly still (namely, fixed objects only in the scene) so I thought leaving track points on them would help smooth things, but it wasn't the case. The clip is jitters a little longer.

  Here's my second clip. I divided in two to try the different options in the same clip:

  

  It's the same kind of shot as a prior, so I tweaked the settings a little assuming that they would be interchangeable between shots of fire just for the sake of experimentation.

  This time, I put the Position method and used stabilize them, harvest and autoscaling for framing. Once again, I guess that is the right choice because it maximizes EI for stabilization options. The same as before, I went through frame-by-frame and remove all the track points automatically applied to the Moon because I want the mountains that the Moon moves smoothly through the framework. I had almost the exact same results as the previous clip with the fragility of it.

  Here's the second half of the Moon clip:

  

  The only adjustment I changed on this half of the clip is the method, I updated the position, scale and Rotation which I took additional aid AE would find the right method to stabilize the clip. I put the result for both of them to No Motion, and now I'm wondering if Smooth Motion would be better, but I want the mountains to be always completely.

  This next video is a doozy:

  

  The grass in the foreground moves a LOT in the wind. I swear I went through and removed all the points of the track of grass and left those on the mountains in the background in one of my attempts to further stabilize the clip, but it looks like this is a will not be saved. I remember because there really makes no difference so I don't mind browsing, then try again for the good of the screenshot. My settings are otherwise identical to the last clip and my results are the same. Nervousness, strangely distorted and by no means smooth.

  Essentially, I need just a few thinning of the terminology above. I initially thought I would on these parameters in a rational way, but maybe I'm just framing their purposes incorrectly. Or maybe I've missed a simple parameter that will clear everything up. I hope that I have included all relevant information, but if you need more I will gladly provide. I just want to go to the bottom of what I thought would be a simple process.

All you need to do is choose file > import, click on ONE of these files, then check the little box that says "Image Sequence" (or whatever it says) in the lower left corner of the import dialog box. Then it will import into AE in a video file, but it refers to each TIFF for each image. Then you just to work with her (Mocha track, etc.) as usual.

  Sequences of image as that is how almost all 3d renderings are made and a lot of people do when they are made to EI so. The reason is, if you make a long it takes hours, overnight, or even days, if something goes wrong and the system crashes, you're not left with nothing after 22 hours of rendering that you would be if you made a video file. This way you just have to pick up the framework where the rendering failed.

  After Effects CS5 requires a 64-bit processor and a 64-bit operating system. There is no work around this fact.

  Versions must be the same to make it work.  You will have to perhaps put the original clip in AE and when you're done, export off AE file for use in PP.

• After Effects preview help

  I am struggling to understand how to play my AE and premiere is so bad. I've seen generic positions on the performance of the AE but I wonder if I'm doing something wrong pathologically here given the severity of the problem.

  I am new to AE on the Mac, I use it on the PC. I have a new iMac 5 k 4 GHz w / 32 GB of RAM. I am running after effects CC 2014. I loaded in a second 21 1920 x 1080 @60 Hz clip. I have not touched anything beyond loading in the clip, not created any content at all, and yet it reads back with RAM Preview to 10 Hz.

  First of all, to solve your video vocabulary. Short film images per second not Hz. There is no such thing as 30 Hz video. Also, when you say overview I guess you mean pressing the space bar, that is not a prediction, just a way to automatically switch rendering of an image for the next record.

  Second, I don't know what you're trying to do. The value of resolution Auto, Ram preview to preview the video. 60 frames per second is probably really 59.97 fps interlaced and even if it is progressive images, 99% of the time when you deliver the images on the web or via a media player, it's going to play at 29.97 FPS so unless you know exactly what you are doing and your playback system is put in place for the reading of high refresh rate you should work with the frame rate standard.

  If you try to see everything better simply by dragging the ICT around the scenario and then set your Adaptive resolution in preferences. You'll be completely frustrated with AE if you do not take the time to go through the basics of how the program works. Please go through some materials getting started.

  I was wondering if anyone knows of a way (don't like how hard I'll learn) to wipe a layer of video but animated at the same time, kind extinguished like a watery wipe away so maybe part of the video drops or something. I was wondering if this is even possible.

  How to do a wipe like that is to use an animation of liquid that flows (or sequences) as a track mattefor single layer reveal the layer under.

  Since you are new to After Effects, I highly recommend you start here and work your way through the bases. This will avoid a lot of frustration.

• Fails character Animator (Preview) do to After Effects - any help?

  I get this message every time I open character animator and apparently is connected to my After Effects. I uninstalled and reinstalled After Effects and still get the same result can someone explain to me exactly what is wrong and possible a fix for this. I'm dying to try this stuff.
