• DNG not recognize the NEF files

  Recently, I downloaded and installed Adobe DNG Converter.  However, when I navigate to the folder where the NEF files are and double-click "No. Items MAtch Your Search.  However, if I simply click on the file once and then click on select files will convert.  Why didn't - it NOT the files that appear in the right pane select a Source folder?  I assumed, from there you would be able to select the files you want to convert if you do not want to convert all.  Any help would be greatly appreciated that I completely freed on bail by trying to update the ACR.

  I would recommend that you download the latest version (9.6.1), unless you have an older operating system which will not support it.

  The vSphere client is a terrible Viewer. Very slow. W2K is also a limitation. Take a look at the other viewers if RDP is not suitable. Radmin is one I've used several years ago.

  Try to copy your raw files to your computer with something else than Nikon Transfer (e.g., with a card reader).  I've been hearing things for a while that means this program can make raw unreadable by Adobe Camera Raw files.

• Photoshop Camera RAW not supporting my NEF files.

  I have a little. NEF RAW images I shot on a Nikon D800 that has been downloaded from a CF of a Canon Mark III friends card. I transferred on my Macbook Pro using a Nikon transfer software and am able to view the images using the Image of Nikon Viewer, but in the finder of my Mac NAVE icon appears as a blank page, not the normal icon of the NAVE and Camera Raw in Photoshop will not open one of these images. Adobe CS5 and I have updated the plugin to the latest version (6.7.1.340) and have tried it on Adobe CC with the latest plugin for this version as well, and I get the same error message on both:

  "Could not complete your request because the file appears to be a model of camera that is not taken in charge by the installed version of Camera Raw. .

  " The help documentation Camera Raw for more information, please visit."

  I also tried to use the Adobe DNG Converter, but this program seems to not be able to manage these images either, as when I try to convert files, a window opens which says:

  " ' The source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files '.

  I am sure that the images are in tact, I can see the images in the viewer of Nikon, but even the Nikon software is unable to convert. I don't know if this may have been because the card had already been used on a Canon, and having spent all of a sudden a Nikon can affect the structure of the. NEF file, which would explain why the Nikon software could not convert, but it is not yet possible for the Adobe software to read? What can I do? Please help me.

• CS4 running on the iMac. Nikon D5100.  Does not recognize the .nef files.  Help?

  Currently I have CS4 11.0.2 with Camera Raw installed 5.7.0.213.  I tried to install the raw camera 6.4 version - which is what says their graph, I need for the D5100, but I get an error message: "update could not be applied.  This patch is not applicable to you.  Please check the updates from the Help menu on your product to see a list of the latest available updates. "My help menu shows:"there is no update at this time. "  I found a recommendation on clearing the cache for the Adobe Update Manager, but I searched everywhere and can not find such a file on the computer.  I'm puzzled.  Can anyone help?

  D5100 support has been added in ACR 6.4 you must download the converter DNG 8.6 and create your NEF files in the DNG for CS4 file.

  AVi is supported, but some audio codecs are not.

  best to use MP4 when this is possible or conversation with a program like handbrake (free for PC)

• Bridge will not open the NEF files, when you double-click on them, using PS CC

  I installed the latest version of PS CC and the bridge, but when I go to my Nikon NEF files and double-click it to open, they open in some weird Photo Gallery of the window, then I went Bridge preferences and reset settings, and now when you double click it nothing happens and they open at all.  I use a PC with Windows 7.

  I deleted the AVG Internet Security on my computer. Under my program files, there is still a case for moy. My computer won't let me remove it. It says "cannot delete avgcgfx.dll: access is denied, check that the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use." It is not used because I deleted it.   You can set an option to open jpeg and tiff in camera raw (preferences edit/camera raw).

  On a Mac, I don't know which directory it should be in.  To see what is there open Help / about plugins / camera raw in Photoshop, then check what version is displayed.  There should be only one.
