I'm on firefox, I think to save pinterest yet no advice appear?
I've been on before firefox and I hope renewing my subscription. I use it to keep copies from my Pinterest paintings. When I go on my Pinterest site and watch the boards, after their release, the boards are not there! I don't know if I'm on Firefox or not?

Firefox for Android, iOS and mac, windows and linux of mozilla.org is free and provided ONLY a subscription. If you are using something else which is not recommended
Are you talking about another piece of software?
See you soon!

I get an error "unable to load XPCOM. I know that I can reinstall Firefox, but when I went to do that he erased all my favorites that I did a system restore. How to backup my bookmarks?
Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.
- Download the full Firefox installation program and save the file to the desktop
https://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/all/
If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.
- Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.
Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.
If you keep problems also create a new profile.
- Download the full Firefox installation program and save the file to the desktop

I want to reset to remove Mysearchdial. I can help but then my version of Firefox (I think) opens a tab of choice and none include troubleshooting or reset as indicated on the screenshots.
Hello
The tags on this issue show that you use Firefox v26. It is the latest version.
You can find instructions on how to reset Firefox here:
Firefox - modules to reset and refresh settings
Please note that if your PC has been infected by adware that is hijacking your browser default homepage etc., search engine so you can find that Firefox settings be diverted even after doing the reset.
You must ensure that the adware that is browser hijacking is removed from the computer before resetting.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
I had particular success with MalwareBytes and Hitman Pro.
More information can be found in the article troubleshooting Firefox problems caused by malware .
I hope this helps. Let me know if not.

Firefox 4 does not save form data after sending form and pressing the previous button
Firefox 4 does not save form data after sending form and pressing the back button... It's very annoying that it erases all data. It worked fine on FF3.

I have Firefox 5 and Reminderfox. But Reminderfox does not appear. What is the problem?
You probably Fox reminder set to display in your status bar which is no more. RF options have lots of display options, or you can restore your status by an extension bar-

14 Firefox forgets where to save downloads
Firefox version: 14.0.1
O/s: Windows XP Edition family version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600When I try to record a series of image files on the same site in a destination directory using a right click > Save Image under..., frequently (but at random intervals) Firefox forgets where the record of the previous file.
I can correctly save multiple files in the expected folder, then find that the Save As dialog box has forgotten the target folder. Sometimes, it restores the default download folder, but sometimes, it comes in a folder that I used for downloads (on a different Web site) days. It can then return to a different folder, I also used for downloads (from a third party site), also days ago.
Occasionally, I navigate to the folder target for each of a succession of downloaded files, then Firefox starts to remember where files go - don't forget again, later in the series. This means that I have to pay attention to what makes Firefox and wasting time check which folder he thinks is the target, rather than to focus on the task, I'm in show.
I don't remember meeting this stupid behavior and worse in previous versions of Firefox. So far, I noticed only when you use the right click > Save Image under... but cannot download some he did not appear with other methods. The current versions of Firefox don't forget not the directory download, based on the URL, so if the URL changes then the default folder can be selected if he has not selected a folder for this server before download.
You can disable this feature to not forget the download via the prefs directory Boolean browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite on the topic: config page.
The pref browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite does not exist by default (it's a hidden pref), you will need to create it.Create a new pref Boolean with the name browser.download.lastDir.savePerSite and set it to false.
You may need to clear the "Site preferences" via clear recent history to delete already stored data.

For most sites, FF8 records my login information. For some sites, it will not save my username. One site in particular, he used to be saved (I think that I added it to a settings file in an earlier version), but I deleted this user name for connection, and now I can't seem to save my user name.
Is there a file somewhere that can be changed so that the username appears?
Thank you
The Web site may use autocomplete = off to prevent Firefox to record the name and the password.
You can remove autocomplete = off with a bookmarklet to register the name and the password of Firefox.

Force firefox to open, not save the .url files.
Hello!
I need a way to Force Firefox to open, not to save the .url files. These files are generated by an application. The application is listed in the list of software and has the setting to open. But when the. URL link is clicked it will ask only to save. I need to open the file. not to save it.
Thanks in advance.
A .url file is a type of special file created by Microsoft.
Firefox is a cross-platform application and can't stand all the platform-specific files as does a browser that is designed for this platform.Try to ask for advice on forum of stack overflow's website to see if they know of an alternative.

Even with "ask to save tabs" unchecked, Firefox keeps asking to save tabs
Firefox for Linux 32.0.
The option "warn me when closing multiple tabs" is disabled in my preferences, but every time I close many tabs Firefox request "Do you want Firefox saves your tabs for the next time."
I then check "do not ask next time", and when I restart the browser, the "warn me when closing multiple tabs" is always disabled, but still asking to save the tabs in Firefox.
Also, in my remarks: the browser.tabs.warnOnClose config displays "false".
However, Firefox does not seem to respect that.So in fact, Firefox remembers my settings, but doing the opposite?
How can I get Firefox to respect the settings and disable this close tab warning message?
There are also these prefs:
- browser.tabs.warnOnCloseOtherTabs
- browser.showQuitWarning
- browser.warnOnQuit

Can I synchronize the information to this firefox but didn't save anything on the hard drive?
Hiya,
I have a laptop at home that I have used for years. Of course, I've saved loads and loads of the saved passwords. I installed Firefox sync here.
On my computer at work, I've just matched the sync with my account. Its downloaded all of my info with success and I placed a master password on all my saved password just in case.My question is if, for increased security, it is a way in which every time I open Firefox, sync will access my information but then, immediately after the closure of Firefox it deletes just all my data on the hard drive of the PC?
That is, is there a way to not save any info on is the hard drive of the PC but access my details of the model home?Thank you
WilliamNo, Firefox Sync does not work in this way. Everything that you synchronize your work yo will stay there unless you delete the daily data.
IMO, a better solution would be to use Portable Firefox on a USB for your work PC. No data will be loaded on your work PC. everything will be on the USB key instead. When you eject the USB stick your Firefox data will be in your possession, nothing remains on the PC where it has been used.
http://PortableApps.com/apps/Internet/firefox_portable
Firefox Sync works between your PC and the 'portable' installed USB version.

Ideally, I want just to save my favorites, my saved passwords - rather than the 0.7 G of the whole profile. I can see Help pages that that means that the file places.sqlite (although I don't want to know all of the websites that I was!) & signons3.txt and signons.sqlite. But where are these hidden? None of them appear in my 9cf14m2q.default - the only .sqlite is index.sqllite - and there is no .db files!

I recently installed a security certificate on my site.
I tried different controllers of ssl and certificate seems fine.
Firefox, however, don't like him and displays a warning page that says:www.Academi.pl uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is not approved.
(Error code: sec_error_untrusted_issuer)
This happens on Windows, Mac and Linux computers in my office.
I also received a number of reports from users of the site who are experiencing the same problem.
It seems that the problem does not occur in firefox 7.x, but I have to check properly.Anyone know a solution to this? I tried to remove the certificates manually in preferences, but it did not help.
It worked for me! I had given up everything, but when I received this reply in my inbox this morning. I was skeptical at all first, think something so simple could not possibly solve all my problems... He did! Sometimes simple is best. Thank you all for the answers and help for this problem!

How to configure Firefox 4.01 to save all tabs when closing the browser?
In the previous version 3.x.y to Firefox, when I closed the browser, he asked me if I wanted to save my open pages / tablets before closing. When I open the browser again, then it rebooted all previously open tabs / pages. In the version 4.01, before avant de fermer close the browser warns me that I'm closing multiple tabs, but when I restart the browser once again, it does not load the already open tabs. How to configure the browser to behave like the old version of 3.x.y, that is perfectly save all open tabs and load these new opening to restart the browser?
Firefox stores now always the old session, and you can access it by going to the history menu and selecting "restore previous Session."
If you always open the last set of tabs, another approach is the following:
- Click on the orange button Firefox, then select options to open the options window
- Go to the general Panel
- Change the setting "When Firefox starts" to "show my windows and tabs from last time '.
