I'm upgrading to CS 5.5 on my new iMac, what I have to install CS2 first?

My G5 crashed and I was using CS2.

I'll install CS 5.5 on my new iMac,

It does that a single drive as an upgrade, I first have to install my CS2

or can I just install the upgrade?

Hi Dave Ferrin;

You don't need to install CS2 before installing the upgrade as long as you have the serial number of the CS2 product.

The CS5.5 upgrade Setup will check your system for a qualifying earlier version of the software. If it does not, it invites you to enter the serial number CS2 for verification.

You will then be asked to enter the new serial number (for CS5.5) and continue the installation.

Thank you

  • I use an eeePC900 with Linux OS. I can't upgrade my Firefox 12.0 to a newer version. I downloadec the new version, but I can not open

I can't update my Firefox 12.0. I keep seeing messages that say my system is outdated and vulnerable to attacks. I don't know much about the right way to download and open things. Could you please give me detailed instructions on how to upgrade my Firefox 12.0 to a newer version.

These computers usually use Xandros, a linux version is more actively developed. Unfortunately, I don't think that there is a good way to update Firefox on these machines. I suggest that you install a new version of linux (Ubuntu is very popular and easy to use). It's a bit beyond the scope of this proceeding, however, I suggest looking on a few linux forums. They can help you find a version of linux that is more modern, faster and more secure and help you with the installation and set up. You will be able to use the most recent Firefox at this point here, your OS will be updated and faster.

  • How to upgrade a G570 instead of buying a new laptop!

Hello guys, I'll try to help you turn your old laptop to a monster based on my experiences of real... I decided to upgrade my G570 instead of buying a new laptop a few months ago. The reason was I was satisfied with my laptop and new computer did not have the card I had in my mind. And of course the phones for my requests were around $2,000 cycle. I realized that the most important part of a PC is its disk hard when it comes to performance. I have been using PC for almost 17 years and I tried to upgrade my ram and hard drive all the time like 90% of normal pc users on Earth. A friend of mine who is an it engineer advised me to use SSD instead of HARD drive. So I looked on the net on how to put my HARD drive to SSD. You can do it on your own after this wonderful http://www.insidemylaptop.com/upgrading-memory-hard-drive-lenovo-g570-laptop/ guide I bought 2 cylinders 4 GB 1333 sodimm and changed the old Rams with them. Then I changed my HARD drive with a 120 GB SSD which is high enough for today's technology. The result is my windows 7 greets me in 7 seconds! I couldn't believe my eyes... Then I bought a DVD burner drive hard transformer support that you can easily find in the market. I put the dvd drive and put my old 500 gb HDD in there. Now, I have 2 hard drives on my G570... Now, I'm looking for ways to improve my i7 processor, although I don't need... Just to finish my work... In this way, I have a great portable quick spend about $250 instead of buying a new laptop for $ 1500-2500

Thanks Dave, I only tried to think different and it worked very well. After the purchase of 8 laptops I had something too important: buying a new pc is not always the best solution. Yes, we have a new system but each system comes with its own problems and sometimes I miss my old PC. I hope this will help some ppl to decide on what it takes to succeed on a budget. Furthermore, I spoke with technicans of lenovo support and I was told that this motherboard and cpu is optimized for the best performance for the upgrade of this processor will be able to ask possible break down of the motherboard so I won't upgrade my cpu. To be honest, I really don't need that at the moment. Love to all...

  • Satellite L500-126: Win7 upgrade - I can re-activateit after a new installation?

I upgraded my Vista OEM Windows 7 successfully yesterday.
What happens if in the future, I need to reinstall the system?
Can I reactivate Windows 7 after installation of the new?

PS my Vista OEM is the version 64 bit and my win 7 is the ultimate 64-bit upgrade version

    THX

I hope I understand your right to question so here is what I know about it:
When you upgrade original Vista preinstalled you do not need to activate Win7, but if you clean Win7 installation then you must activate the preinstalled version.

With other words to have free Win7 of activations, you must install Vista first using Toshiba DVD recovery and then he move to Win7.

  • Upgrading my computer, do I need a new OS?

I plan to upgrade an old computer Pentium 4 to a new motherboard and new CPU with memory.  I intend to keep my hard drive as-is.  The computer is runnning XP 32 bit.  What I have to buy a new operating system, or the old operating system work?  This OS has been installed at the factory, so I don't have a disk for it - if I have to reinstall, is it possible to do without a disk?

If you do not have a disc for the operating system, you will encounter a problem when Windows detects the new hardware. An OEM license is technically related to the packaging of your processor and motherboard and cannot be transferred to a new PC, which is actually what you get if all what you keep is the hard drive. If it is a license to retail for XP and you simply do not have the disk, you can experience a problem when you are forced to do the Windows Activation again as a result of the important material.
Personally, I suggest getting a new hard drive, too, and just built a new PC in your case with the parts you buy. I also would seek to buy Windows 7 for that 'new' PC XP copy, if left on the old disk and hung as a secondary in the 'new' drive PC will allow you to qualify for a license to upgrade to Windows 7 (or Vista if you do this update today).

  • Reclassification of Vist to Windows 7. How can I purchase a version upgrade compared to the purchase of a new package of Windows 7.

I have Windows Vista 64 bit, OEM installed on my computer, but does not receive the original disk.  Looking to upgrade to windows 7.  At the same time, I want to start with a clean hard disk (reformatting).  I also have a box of 7 windows CD, but it has been installed on another computer.   How can I reformat my hard drive and do a windows 7 upgrade.  I think that if I can get another license number, I can use my cd to do the reinstall.  suggestions?

    Hello

It depends on the type of Windows 7 license you, as to whether you can transfer it or not.

Pre-installed Licenses OEM (HP, Acer, etc.) and the Microsoft System Builder OEM licenses are tied to the first machine that they are installed on and channels of license when this machine dies.

    OEM licenses are not transferable.

If you have purchased your own license retail of Windows 7 and installed yourself, yes you can transfer it to another computer.

    Retail licenses are transferable.

Just be sure that you have only installed on one machine at a time.

A single license means one Installation.

And there is no way to upgrade between 32-bit and 64-bit, or 64 bit to 32 bit.

They must be the same bit syastem of operation or a clean install should be done.

There are several methods to reinstall Vista.

There is no Windows Vista downloads available from Microsoft.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/326246

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

    Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

And if you do not score a manufacturer of recovery on your hard drive, you should be able to make your own recovery from her disks to reinstall the operating system.

Go to programs > name of the manufacturer of your computer > then their system or recovery tools software topics for them, depending on how it is formulated.

If you can't find any reference to it, contact the manufacturer for advice on how to make these recovery disks.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • Replacing my hard drive and the need to re - install Windows 7 upgrade. I need to install Vista first?

I have Windows Vist and I'll upgrade Windows 7 make on my hard drive crashed.

My question is can I install windows 7 fist or should I install vista first then windows 7.

My question is can I install windows 7 fist or should I install vista first then windows 7.

You should be able to properly install Windows 7.

  • Install an upgrade of Vista or Win 7 from Xp or Vista: can I install the first then get updates then install or just install when the first is installed? And other related issues.

Firstly: I understand that Windows XP can have Windows Vista upgrades. Second, Windows 7 upgrades require Windows Vista not windows XP.

    So:

-If I had to install Windows XP: I install the Vista upgrade right after? Or should I get all updates for XP first?

-If I had to install Windows Vista: I would like to install the Windows 7 upgrade right after? Or should I get the updates for Vista first?

-Would be recognized hardware in a laptop in the upgrade or installation of the version full? For example: I have a laptop. It is pre-loaded with the software and hardware that had specific software: for example: the modem, modem wireless and other things that the cell needs to function... But I had to make a back-up for the laptop, there was no installation cd and cd software. I know that Windows installs drivers that are ok. The material would be useless if?

    Thank you.

"If it ain't broke...". "is well thought!

It is whether equipment manufacturers if they write Vists/etc drivers, or not.

And they often decide to sell more NEW material, instead of writing the most recent operating system drivers.

Microsoft depends a lot on what they provide.

  • HP 990 cm print is no longer the color since the upgrade to the new iMac with Mountain Lion

Have an older CV (990c, m series) which worked fine on my iMac Leopard PPC (X.5.8) running.

Since the upgrade to the new Intel iMac running Mountain Lion (the most recent software upgrades / w X.8.2) this printer will print only in black and white, despite having new color and cartridges inkjet black installed - even the test pattern that prints automatically when I changed the print cartridges only in B & W.

The detailed print dialog box that appears when I try to print a color page does not include the usual option to print in color.

I think that HP is no longer provides this older printer drivers but guess they are in the software updates in Mac OS.

Someone has an idea how I can fix it, or is it just time to recycle this printer and buy a new one?
