  I tried everything, my computer is new, and it drives me crazy.  Tried to install, uninstall, everything.  Was able to install a previous version by dragging the file .pkg on the desktop, but when I try to use safari, it disables the program due to the inconsistency of the security.  If someone had the same problem and fixed it, please let me know.  Exactly 50% complete, it crashes and a message to close safari, but safari is already closed.

  Finally succeeded!  OK, here's what I did: it was a combination of two things I've read in various forums.

  1: go to System Preferences > Security and confidentiality and in the "allow applications downloaded on:"section, choose "Anywhere".»   There is a file in the module of installation of adobe that is not recognized as coming from a "identified developer.   Then I went back to the most recent adobe and re downloaded the flash player page.  Tried to reinstall and still the same problem as before.  Stopped at 50% asking to close Safari.  So, I did the following:

  2nd: this time instead of closing Safari by pressing the red X button, I pulled down on the safari tab and clicked on the safari output control.  A click on the retry on the installation window button and magic! It worked.

  Finally after 5 hours of frustration it worked...  I never thought I meet with such a problem with a brand new Mac... with the money I paid for it, would wait much more easy performance upgrade process... and compatibility with adobe... an issue that should been resolved a long time ago.  I guess that's a problem on both sides... some clearer instructions for the upgrade would be greatly appreciated.

  I've been on several site trying to play games or watch videos (YouTube, for example) and get an error message saying that I need to install Adobe Flash Player in order to play/view.  I did this several times and currently have 11 ActiveX of Flash Player and Flash Player 11 Plugin.  That I do because it still doesn't let me see the video or play games.

  PLEASE HELP ME!

  Additional information: I found myself just download Google Chrome (but don't like) and do not have the same problem.  So, it happens only when I'm doing all this on Internet Explorer 9.

  Yesterday I unintentionally uninstalled Flash player with a product called Perfect Uninstaller. During the process, it indicates that the element I uninstalled are uninstalled now and forever. Whenever I click on "Run" to install it starts for about a second and stops completely. I'm starting to think they meant it and that there is some sort of blocking going on but that's just a guess. I hope some can help. I am a novice, of course. I use Windows XP.

  Your instructions helped a little, but my problem is finally resolved as explained below:

  I completed the download/installation of Flash Player 11, but it didn't work, it seemed to be "disabled."

  I then went to Adobe.com Flash Player Help (http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-games-video-or.html)

  I followed the instructions: turn off ActiveX Filtering (if you use Internet Explorer 9) close Internet Explorer and then restart it.

  Then I downloaded/installed Google Chrome (Flash player is built into Chrome and enabled by default).

  My problem has been resolved and the Flash Player/Google Chrome works perfectly.

  We are the Flash upgrade in our environment, and the latest version which is seller support / tested is 15.  I was able to download an exe file, but would prefer an msi for distribution in our company.  I applied to distribute Flash Player and has been approved (see below) but the link leads me to a page that does not have version available 15.

  Please clear the browser's cache and cookies or remove the *. Adobe.com items in your list of cache and cookies of browsers.  The installer will then download.

  I was able to reproduce the behavior when I updated the Russia region.  If the language and region are worth English/United States of America, the behavior does not occur.  Did you by chance, perhaps by accident, change the region to Russia at some point and then change it back? You have rebooted your system since then?

  I will forward this to the people who handle the installer online and see if they can reproduce.

  In the meantime, you can check to see if the installer offline, full, posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page exhibit this same behavior?

• Need to install Flash Player to help: problem of "Non-Current Release"!

  I have been experiencing problems when trying to install Flash Player on my laptop that is running Windows 7.

  Initially, Flash Player does not work as I understand that it is not supported on 64-bit Internet Explorer.

  After you have installed 32-bit IE, arises the question of 'non-derniere version' and all the facilities has been abandoned by the application:

  The below are the steps that I had no success.

  1. via the browser 32 bit, downloaded the program uninstall flash player and did the uninstall successfully.

  2 restarted the laptop.

  3. via 32-bit browser, downloaded the version of flash player http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer10.0.45.2.

  4. After downloading, it automatically made installation with the completion of 100%.

  5. the programme is to enable the flash player with a Web page saying that if the flash player does not work, I should see a video and Flash Player logo.

  6. before that something was displayed, an error message pops up to say I tried to install a noncurrent version and I had to go to the same Web page to download the latest version. Activation was then abandoned.

  I tried several times but still encountered same problem and therefore cannot continue to use the flash player.

  Need help to diagnose the problem and get Flash Player works on my laptop. Appreciate any help to make it work.

  JavaScript should not have to turn off. Try to completely uninstall Flash Player and then reinstalling the most recent version. For instructions on how to "completely" uninstall a Flash Player, read this Adobe Help article. If you have not installed Flash Player, or you have just uninstalled the Flash Player, download and install the latest Adobe Flash Player, available in the Adobe Flash Player Download Center.
