  I completed the download/installation of Flash Player 11, but it didn't work, it seemed to be "disabled."

  I followed the instructions: turn off ActiveX Filtering (if you use Internet Explorer 9) close Internet Explorer and then restart it.

  Then I downloaded/installed Google Chrome (Flash player is built into Chrome and enabled by default).

  My problem has been resolved and the Flash Player/Google Chrome works perfectly.

  I've been on several site trying to play games or watch videos (YouTube, for example) and get an error message saying that I need to install Adobe Flash Player in order to play/view.  I did this several times and currently have 11 ActiveX of Flash Player and Flash Player 11 Plugin.  That I do because it still doesn't let me see the video or play games.

  PLEASE HELP ME!

  Additional information: I found myself just download Google Chrome (but don't like) and do not have the same problem.  So, it happens only when I'm doing all this on Internet Explorer 9.

  It is the OS, not Flash Player to ask for the password.  See the what userid & password I need to install Flash Player?  FAQ for more information.  If you do not have a password, you leave the field blank and click OK to continue.  If you forgot your password are links in the FAQ to other sites to help to reset the password.

  I tried everything, my computer is new, and it drives me crazy.  Tried to install, uninstall, everything.  Was able to install a previous version by dragging the file .pkg on the desktop, but when I try to use safari, it disables the program due to the inconsistency of the security.  If someone had the same problem and fixed it, please let me know.  Exactly 50% complete, it crashes and a message to close safari, but safari is already closed.

  Finally succeeded!  OK, here's what I did: it was a combination of two things I've read in various forums.

  1: go to System Preferences > Security and confidentiality and in the "allow applications downloaded on:"section, choose "Anywhere".»   There is a file in the module of installation of adobe that is not recognized as coming from a "identified developer.   Then I went back to the most recent adobe and re downloaded the flash player page.  Tried to reinstall and still the same problem as before.  Stopped at 50% asking to close Safari.  So, I did the following:

  2nd: this time instead of closing Safari by pressing the red X button, I pulled down on the safari tab and clicked on the safari output control.  A click on the retry on the installation window button and magic! It worked.

  Finally after 5 hours of frustration it worked...  I never thought I meet with such a problem with a brand new Mac... with the money I paid for it, would wait much more easy performance upgrade process... and compatibility with adobe... an issue that should been resolved a long time ago.  I guess that's a problem on both sides... some clearer instructions for the upgrade would be greatly appreciated.

  All you need is a set of codec files reflecting the MKV format to use audio/video stream. The codecare like translators who take the image video format and encode or decode for viewing in your favorite media player. I would recommend that you download and install K-Lite Codec pack from here.

  Get either the Standard or complete package to halfway to the bottom of the page. There is a package tailor-made for 64-bit if your Windows 7 is that the flavor. The 64-bit package is not always necessary, as most of the programs are still 32-bit. There is also this set of reliable codecs.

  Another video player is not necessary, but if you decide to get one, I recommend the free VLC Player but beware of the source that you pick up all this because it is open source and easily modified into something that you don't want. Here is a link to the "official" site

  I hope someone can help me, because I go crazy about it.  So I try to download flash player 10.  It is said that I downloaded successfully, but I get no animation, and on youtube, it tells me that I need the latest version of the flash player.

  • Close all browser windows and start the program uninstaller
  • reinstall Flash Player from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

  All have the same size (1 125 056), but are slightly different content.

  No, it will not work with all browsers.  The NPAPI plugin will work with NPAPI (for example Firefox) browsers, it will not work with IE (which uses the ActiveX control) or PPAPI browsers.

  Installer MSI contain additional information that is used by software such as SCCM (System Center Configuration Management Microsoft) management tools.  MSI installers are mainly used by business customers to deploy Flash Player within their organization (the page where you found the link, Adobe Flash Player Distribution, contains information on the Flash Player for the distribution of license).

  1. are you able to play the other mpegs successfully?
  2. what version of Windows Media Player do you use?

  I suspect that the file is corrupted.

  Method 1.
  Check if you can play the same video in a different media player.

  Method 2.
  You may need to check if the codecs work very well to play the file. Check if you have installed third party codecs. Uninstall them and re - install and then check.

  I want to get out of my system because since I installed it I got problems with the loading of Chrome he does not load then if I restart my comptuter & I click on chrome 5 windows open at the same time a white box appears saying "your profile not usable because it comes from a later version of the google chrome browser.» Some features may be available. I figured a way to get a window to stay open, so I use chrome, now I have another browser that I can use but I don't like them at all, & do not have a flash drive since mine is incorporated with Chrome. So now to the other issue that began as soon as I downloaded this & I may not understand that, but I still want to get it out of my computer. I also had problems with my flash drive error messages: saying that it has stopped working constantly, it says upgrade text flash, a flash plug-in Shockwave does not then in (locking pin in) he wants that you hit.  I ran 3 different programs Mallware via my computer just in case it is a question that would arise.
