I need to silently install the latest Mozilla firefox under Win7, I don't see any available .msi and the orders/s or-on the setup.exe installation program does not work. Anyone know what I can do?

  IE 8 is not a part of Vista SP2.  You can remove SP2 without removing IE8.

  Here are the steps to uninstall SP2
  Method 1: Uninstall the service pack of Windows Vista by using the programs and features item in the easiest control panel to uninstall a service pack for Windows Vista is to use the programs and features in Control Panel. To uninstall the service pack of Windows Vista by using the programs and features in Control Panel, follow these steps:

     If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click continue.
  2. Click view installed updates.
  3. Click the service pack that you want to uninstall, and then click Uninstall.

     If you don't see the option to uninstall for Windows Vista service pack in the list, go to method 2.

  4. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to complete the uninstallation.

  According to the scenario provided it seems that the problem is that you have updated the drivers for the audio device, but you have not updated the application (Dolby Home Theater - perhaps).   Hi all, I recently had to run a repair of Windows XP Edition family due to a driver issue and finally managed to return to the start screen and try to log in, but it wont let me connect you without activation (I suppose some confusion because it is installed on my computer for more than 30 days, but the repair made me have to reactivate).  So, I tried to start safe mode and was able to connect here in the version without networking.  Unfortunately, when I try to activate by phone (no network connection, the default ethernet driver was the cause of all this to start), the automated thing will not take the installation ID that is displayed in the activation page.  I know that I have a valid product key and the original disk, as I used it a year ago to re - install on a new hard drive, but I have no way to actually enter the product key!

  Assumptions on how I can try to work around this problem for long enough to activate online (I use a USB wireless, but the computer must be started in order to establish the connection), or why the crazy long installation ID does not work?

  You cannot activate Windows XP safe mode and most of the drivers does not work in safe mode.
