I need to. To replace a computer portable DVD player with the same model exactly?

I have a Pavilion Dv6 with a TS-l633j player, which is a failure. The drive is recognized in Windows (7 64-bit), but won't any DVD discs although it reads and plays audio CDs.

I tried everything short of reinstalling Windows. I think that the drive is toast now after trying a boot disk to start did not work... So the question is...

Can I use a ts-l633 instead a ts-l633j? The l633 is easier (cheaper).

Thanks in advance
Kris

Yes, you can install any optical drive SATA to a good thickness. You may need to adjust the faceplate if you buy just a bare drive and optical drives are almost as generic than hard drives.

    Paraxis

    Hi Paraxis,

Whenever we use the system image and restore from it, the hardware must be same, as has already been made to backup. The hard disk partition should also be in the same size.

You can use Sysprep on your computer and check if that helps you solve the problem.

Preparation system (Sysprep) tool is a technology that you can use with other deployment tools to install Windows on new hardware, operating systems. The Sysprep tool prepares a computer for imaging of disc or delivery to a customer of the configuration of the computer to create a new computer security identifier (SID) when the computer is restarted. In addition, the Sysprep tool cleans up user-specific and settings specific to the computer and the data that should not be copied to a destination computer.

    Thank you

As long as it's the same motherboard, you have a very good chance, that Windows will restart everything in tack. At worst, you may have to reactivate Windows (you will have a period of 3 days).

Note: If you have an OEM of Windows version you need to 'Try' to activate by phone.

If my HARD drive crashes and I have to replace, can I reinstall Windows 7 on the same computer? How the product key is affected? He still believes that I am still on the old HDD?

    Yes.

    Not at all.

If you have Windows 7 with an OEM license agreement (it came pre-installed on the computer is the most likely scenario for this, but you can buy OEM copies so) or you have a license to retail (upgrade or full version) - the way your question is worded is very specific - you * can * install Windows 7 costs/clean on this same system as much as you wish.  A new hard drive won't stop you activation - well that at some point, you need to activate by phone, as opposed to over the Internet.

Now - if the motherboard is replaced and it's licensed OEM and replacement was not that of the OEM that probably set up your computer...  Then you have a problem.

Unless you happen to have a license of Windows 7 retail sales, so it is not related to the computer (motherboard).

  • How can I replace the same clips with the same interval of time (same settings)?

    Dear Adobe Premiere CS5 Forum,

I have the following problem, and I would look forward to receiving solutions:

As I couldn't cut my video with clips in avi codecs (it is very difficult to cut in avi codecs, except that you have a very fast computer), I converted my raw clips in lower codecs. Then I cut my video in low quality codecs. My video is now ready to export.

But before I want to export my video, I need to replace all the clips in avi codes so that my video is in good quality.

    Now the problem:

How can I replace the clips (poor quality video codec codec avi), in order to have the same clips in a different codec always the same interval of time. I want the replaced clip immediately have the same interval of time.

For example: a raw whole clip takes 2 minutes. But just a part / interval of the clip (from 01:00 minute 01:10 minutes) is shown in the video. Now I want to replace this clip with the same clip in avi codec. But it must be the same interval (from 01:00 minute 01:10 minutes).

I tried to replace a clip. But they each have a different time interval (the lower quality clip is from 01:00 to 01:10 minutes and if I would like to replace the same clip in avi codec is the time interval between 0:00 to 0:10 minutes).

How can I replace the clip with the same interval of time?

    Thanks in advance

    Leonardo

Hold down the Alt + Shift; It is Shift that maintains the reference timecode. In addition, this will work only if your proxy clips contains timecode. If they all start to 00:00:00:00, this will not work for you.

  • Message came up with, "Windows has detected another computer with the same IP address on this netework."

A message came that said, Windows detected another computer with the same IP address. "... or similar message to one, that could just be the functioning of the laptop for the wireless?

    MurrayJoe:

    > Mean someone has or may have access to my PC or laptop?

You mentioned a wireless laptop. Do you get this message at home (when your laptop is in communication with your own wireless router), or that you get this message when in a public hotspot?

If at home, then I would be not too concerned (what security options enabled in your home router?).

If you get the message while using a public access point, this does not necessarily your computer has been hacked... but it is a warning that you should not ignore. In general, I would not go to any site that has my financial data, or any other sensitive data, a public hotspot. There are too many ways that a public hotspot may be compromised.

Your original post said that "a message came that said, Windows detected another computer with the same IP address.

There are several reasons this could happen... some innocent people and some not so innocent.

If your network is configured for the most common way, then your router uses a feature called Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). You can read about DHCP here...

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_Host_Configuration_Protocol

Basically, when a device on your home network needs an IP address, he asks your router and your router assigns an IP address... technically, "rents" the router address for a given period (one day). Once this period has elapsed, the device must 'renew lease'.

DHCP stops you from the hassle of having to assign a static IP address to each device on your network and then don't forget to retrieve that meet if/when a device are removed from your network.

Sometimes the process DHCP can be confused and assign the same address on multiple devices. If/when this happens, communication between devices on your home network may be confused. Windows is smart enough to detect that another device on your home network has the same address as the computer where Windows is currently running..., but Windows can not solve the problem.

You can determine the IP address of the computer that is running Windows (and posted the message you saw)... by entering "ipconfig" (without the quotation marks) at a command line prompt. Then you can check the IP addresses of all devices on your network until you find the other devices with the same IP address. Then you could say either every device to get a new IP address of the router (or restart the device). Alternatively, you can try just stating the computer that is running Windows to get a new IP address (by first entering "ipconfig/release" then "ipconfig / renew" in the command-line invite him... all orders without the quotes).

But since you said that you are not very tech savvy, my first suggestion was the easiest... just shut everything in your network, and then restart one at a time by starting with your ISP device, router, and other devices. If the problem persists after that, then more troubleshooting (as described in the previous paragraph) would be necessary.

I hope this helps to clarify the issue for you. If you have any questions, please post them and I'll try to answer.

  • Vista SP1 does not update problems and System Restore returns a message "system restore was not entirely successful. File system and the setting of your computer has not changed"with the error code (0x80071AA7)

    0rignal title: Vista SP1 didn't update problem

So, recently, I was on my computer of gf and noticed she had some updates, it could use his computer which included the SP1 update.  So I went through the process trying to update his computer and he has been a disaster and have had many problems and seems to have tried everything.  It has a Dell inspiron 1525 and has no CD and no key for its program of Vista.  I burned a Vista recovery disk and tried troubleshooting by using that, but have not had much luck.  When I use the Startup Repair tool there is no nothing.  So I tried to use the restore of the system with the Description of "install: Windows Vista Service Pack 1.  He had a restore point saved just before I tried to update to SP1.  Whenever I chose this method, it's but the whole process then in the end it says:

"System restore was not entirely successful.  File system and the setting of your computer have not changed. "

then he begins to list the details with the error code (0x80071AA7) and then gives me the option to close or 'Run System Restore"once again that is an endless loop, because I just end up with the same error each time.  If anyone has had this problem and bring myself through it.  I don't want to reinstall windows because it seems simply ridiculous and plus that she a lot of pictures on his computer and I want to get rid of those.

If you need more information please let me know and evil provides everything I can

    Hello

Follow the steps and check if the problem persists.

    Step 1:

I suspect that your security program may be responsible for this. I would suggest you temporarily disable all security software and try the system restore.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Note : Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats.  In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 2:

As for installing updates is concerned, I you should install them after you put your computer in aclean boot State. There could be a third-party software in conflict with updates. Clean boot helps eliminate these conflicts.

Note: Restart your machine as usual by following step 7.

  • I have windows7 64 bit on a computer acer laptop, but I want to change my OS to 32-bit. Is it possible with the same product key?

    Windows 7 64 bit to 32 bit

I have windows7 64-bit with the computer acer laptop, but I want to change to 32 bit can it is possible with the same product key?

If you have a retail version of Windows 7, then it is more than likely came with discs both 64-bit and 32-bit. In this case, boot from the 32-bit disk and do a clean install.

If the 64-bit version has been pre-installed, then you need to contact Acer to see if they have a 32-bit recovery disc.

  • I need a new key for re install on a different motherboard, which is the same model?

I currently I have Windows 7 Home Premium OEM installed on the computer, recently built, but have had problems with it because of a faulty motherboard, so I wonder if I can re install without problems, or if I need a new key because it it a different motherboard. The motherboard is an ASUS P8Z77 - V Pro. If I do not need a new key from Microsoft will be able to provide me with one, since it's just a computer, and I'm simply by changing a defective part?

If it's a faulty motherboard, in such circumstances, you could try phone activation whenever you use a motherboard of the same model.

  • USB formatted on the windows computer and then loaded with the IOS El Capitan files does not work on the Windows computer

I tried to format a usb drive on my iMac home for use on a Windows computer. I tried to format it on the iMac with El Capitan and format on the Windows computer, but with the same question.  The files are corrupted and do not function correctly on the Windows computer at work.  The files are a combination of audio files and writing.  Is there a way to overcome this problem.  When I used earlier versions of IOS are not usability issues.

iOS is for iPhones and iPads, but you also state El Capitan, so I guess that's what you're talking about.

There are a lot of audio formats, many writing programs, so it is quite difficult to determine if this is a problem of format of file or a problem of disc format.

Even if it's an mp3 player, wmv or any other file extension, there are more for the 'format' of an audio file of the extension.

These designations are just wrappers that contain audio information. Audio information can be encoded in a variety of different formats and still be an mp3 or wmv. An mp3 player that plays on Windows cannot play on a Mac due to using a codec that is not installed on the Mac. Apple recently purged the operating system of older, obsolete codecs. As a general rule, VideoLan VLC can play most audio and video files on Mac and Windows.

Were what type of writing files? Word, Pages, TextEdit,...?

Hi, I hope someone here can help a lot.
