  • Outlook 2007 receives all incoming mail

I have been using outlook express on an old emachine.  Upgrading to a new desktop computer with vista and outlook 2007.  I don't get the same emails on the new platform that I receive on the former.  I use verizon as my Internet access provider.  Any suggestions?

I think you missed my point or I can be misinterpreted your messages. I assume you are using the same email address on two machines and download of mail on both machines. If it is incorrect, please let me know. In the meantime, let me give you a brief explanation of the work of e-mail that could be more illustrative. It is an explanation of "boilerplate" I give to some of my clients, so not everything might apply to you - and I certainly don't want to hurt your feelings, if you already know this stuff - I'm just trying to help you. :-)

When you sign up with a provider of Internet (ISPS) like AT & T or Comcast Service, they give you email addresses, as * address email is removed from the privacy * or * address email is removed from the privacy *. When someone sends an email to you at this address, the e-mail goes and lives on one of the computers of your ISP. This computer is called a mail server. Now you have the choice on how to get that email.

    A. you can access reading online in your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.), your ISP e-mail program. It's called webmail.

    1. the advantage of webmail is that you can read your mail from any computer that is on the Internet. You just need to open a browser, go to the Web site of the ISP, login and go to your Inbox. Enamel still lives on the mail server of the ISP, not on your computer, and he stayed there until you remove them from Inbox of your e-mail on the Internet. He is interested only in viruses by the ISP anti-virus software. Since your email and address book are on the ISP e-mail server, you need not save anything unless you want to change ISP.

    (2. the drawbacks of webmail are a) If you have remote access and/or pay for Internet access by the minute, you must be online to read your mail; (b) you will not like the ISP webmail interface.

    B. the alternative to webmail access your email using a mail program (called an e-mail client) like Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Thunderbird, etc. Using a mail client downloads the email on your computer. Email has been scanned for viruses by the ISP anti-virus software, and again by the anti-virus software you have installed on your computer when you download. Unless you choose to keep messages on the e-mail server of the ISP and do not forget to remove them from webmail regularly, once downloaded on your computer these emails went from the ISP mail server. You can no longer access your emails from anywhere except on your own computer in the mail client you are using. As your mail and address book are on your computer in your e-mail client, backup regularly is your responsibility.

So if you download mail with Outlook Express on the same machine and mail with Outlook on another computer, you will get the same emails on both machines up to what you set each email (Outlook Express or Outlook) client to save a copy of the mail on the server. Then, you will get the same mails on both machines for as long you said the mail server to keep a copy of the mail. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

If I accidentally put a block on all mail entering .aol accts where can I find tools for restore it?

    Hello

I suggest to read the following steps and check if it helps.

    a. open Outlook Express
    b. Select tools, then select Message rules, click on the list of senders blocked in Outlook Express menu.
    c. highlight the sender or domain that you want to remove.
    d. click on delete.
  • On XP System I've set up separate e-mail accounts 2 identities but OE puts all mail entering any currently selected identity. How can I do it direct to the relevant identity?

I recently had to change an old email client I've used for years, Outlook Express on my Windows XP computer. Using the Base of knowledge (including 209169) articles I have set up two separate identities, with each having its own email account information. But when running, whatever the identity is selected both receives all messages for the two identities. This is not the way it is supposed to work, is it? How can I fix this?

In each identity, go to tools | Accounts. It must only have an account in each. Is this the case?

If they are both, delete the one that should not be there. If this is not the case, then addresses are aliases for the mailbox and you will need to create message rules to divert mail to its respective identities of Inbox.

  • ALL my mail suddenly disappeared - everything! Malware?

A few days ago, I migrated all of my information from my older iMac who used the Snow Leopard operating system to my 'new' (actually bought second hand just before Christmas with guarantee of six months left and reset to factory settings) six months using BONE from Yosemite's old iMac. I think it's a total nightmare!

And the last problem is that ALL my mail disappeared completely. He had been there for a few days already, moved well, apparently and receive the mail with happiness. Then - all parties! Just completely empty for all the mailboxes in the right hand of the screen message box, while the sidebar with the mailbox is still there and the number of unread messages in each box.

Just before this happened that a pop window appeared saying mail wanted my admin password. This very annoying pop up always came up with horrible frequency during a long time ago, constantly asking admin password or password e-mail account until I could collect the mail. It would also be an interrupt constantly, even when I'm not dealing with mail, but do something completely different on the computer.

It seemed to be a terrible problem I thought maybe something to do with BT because BT provide my internet connection and caused all sorts of problems before with their 'technical help' people in India, is a complete joke and behave as malicious Cowboys and never, ever, be able to help with anything at all.

They demanded also that I realize sharing screen is totally unjustified and it may be that they inserted malware that my old mac began to behave badly, in addition to heating and slow down to a standstill. But all BT stuff was quite a long time ago & I was using mail on my old computer so far and even on the computer for a few days.

I just went to the old iMac & this box pop up was there to greet me again. It says mail wants to use the login keychain, enter the Keychain password. I did it, but then noticed there had been no new messages received or sent so why he wanted the password that it has nothing to do with at least he did not use it to check for new messages only to find out it was not everything.

I noticed that, just before all my mail is completely gone on the new mac pop box had the letters "DP" attached a strange place that made me think it was a con & malicious but at the time he had recorded in my brain, I had clicked on it in any case and it was too late.

Another possible clue, it's that I noticed in preferences/e-mail accounts in that each e-mail account info from server in gray instead of the black box it should be & is on the old mac. Clearly, something is very wrong here.

Anyone can shed light on this bizarre situation?

And exactly how can I re - install mail etc?

That should never happen. Mail requires only the password for an e-mail account.

Are you sure that you spoke to BT for 100%? Did you research BT and contact them or have you answered a pop-up? It is possible that you have copied something nefarious on old Mac.

  • How to scan all e-mails and place the record selected in a folder

I have several thousand E-mail (69 466) in different folders across multiple accounts.
    I'm organizing folders and filters.

I am looking for a method to analyse a set account, collect all e-mail messages with domain abcdef.com and put it in a selected folder.

Do a search to find what I want, but I can't select them all and move. The filter mechanism does not appear to cross records/sccounts.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Mike

Right click on a folder, search for Messages, and then select the account or folder level (and subfolders), enter the search criteria, such as + contains + abcdef.com, then select the messages that you want to move (Ctrl-A to select all), and then click move and choose the destination folder.

  • How can I empty all the mail folder?

Tried to change the mail folder all through properties. I have change the settings without effect. I delete old messages in this folder only to get her back.

All mail is your archive, a storage place for all mail you've ever sent or received, but have not deleted.

You can see a list of archived messages by clicking all mail.

"If you delete a message from your Inbox or from one of your custom folders in your IMAP client, it still appear in [Gmail]" feast messages. ".

If you use IMAP access, and then deleting the messages locally removes them the selected only folder, but let them in all messages. (Removal of IMAP is Gmail Archive.).

Removal of all e-mail effectively does nothing, so messages will reappear. To remove them from the server, you must copy or move them from their folder (not AllMail) to the [Gmail] folder /Corbeille.

  • How to receive the Apple mail (iCloud) on Android phone

    Hi people,

Since the upgrade to ElCapitan on my iMac, I have been unable to receive all messages electronic iCloud on my cell phone from Nokia. I'll be very grateful if someone can instruct me on how should move forward in order to overcome this problem.

    All suggestions/advice, be greatly appreciate.

Upgrade your iMac has absolutely nothing to do with your iCloud account settings or your ability to get email on your Nokia phone.

However, your iMac can be configured to download and delete the messages before your Nokia sees.

    • On your iMac, open Mail.
    • Go to preferences-> accounts. He set up to use POP to access your iCloud? If so, click the account, and then click "Advanced". Disabled the option of "copy to remove server after retrieving a message".

I'm mailing labels duplicate when printing a group of Contacts. Not every name is duplicated. How to solve this?

Contact prints each address for each contact in a group that you select.  This could be, for example and to work.  Or it could even be that you have their same address entered twice as a House.  Or you might have duplicate contacts and need to delete some and keep the most relevant.  If you do not duplicate contacts, try file > Print > [show details down to the left if it is not already showing] > Label (among the three Center directly under style options) > addresses and select the category of the address to use to make your labels.

He is not a person, it is a computer. We all receive mail from him now and
Then, particularly if send us mail to a non-existent address.
