  • receive the same response from the server - glued

    Hello

    I write a simple client/server application. I'm a little stuck on the same response from the server. Instead of sending and receiving plain text, I chose to wrap messages in the command objects (containing a statement and a list of values). He worked for a while, until I realized that I continue to create new objects for each request and response to and from the server. I thought that it's a waste, so I created a reset method (commands command) to update the same object instance instead of creating new command objects. And since I get the same response from the server.

    I've debugged client and the server, and I see that it is as if the server does not read a new order, but he is stuck on the last (which is the first).

    It's the class ServerThread run() method:
    @Override
        public void run() {
            try {
                out = new ObjectOutputStream(socket.getOutputStream());
                in = new ObjectInputStream(socket.getInputStream());
                Command fromClient = null, toClient = null;
                Protocol p = new Protocol();

                try {
                    //Reading input from Client
                    while ((fromClient = (Command) in.readObject()) != null) {
                        toClient = p.processInput(fromClient);
                        out.writeObject(toClient);

                    }
                } catch (EOFException e) {
                    //Swallow this exception
                } catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
                    e.printStackTrace();
                }

                out.close();
                in.close();
                socket.close();

            } catch (SocketException e) {
                //Swallow this exception
            } catch (IOException e) {
                e.printStackTrace();
            } finally {
            }
        }
    It's the processInput (...) method of the class of Protocol:
    public Command processInput(Command fromClient) {

            if (fromClient.getCommand() == Commands.REQ_GREET_ME) {
                currentCommand.reset(Commands.REPLY);
                currentCommand.addValue(new Value("Welcome to the Aardenon server."));

            } else if (fromClient.getCommand() == Commands.REQ_PLAYER_COUNT) {
                currentCommand.reset(Commands.REPLY);
                currentCommand.addValue(new Value("There are " + AcceptorThread.threadCount() + " players online."));

            } else if {
                //Some other commands...
            }
            return currentCommand;

        }
    It's the method of hand (...) (shortcut) to the customer class:
    public static void main(String[] args) {

            ClientUI clientUI = new ClientUI();
            clientUI.printWelcome();

            Socket socket = null;
            ObjectOutputStream out = null;
            ObjectInputStream in = null;
            BufferedReader stdIn = null;

            try {
                socket = new Socket("localhost", PORT);
                if (socket != null) {
                    clientUI.printConEstablished();

                    out = new ObjectOutputStream(socket.getOutputStream());
                    in = new ObjectInputStream(socket.getInputStream());
                    stdIn = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in));

                    Command currentCommand;
                    CommandCreator commandCreator = new CommandCreator();
                    Command toServer = new Command(), fromServer;
                    String fromUser;

                    try {

                        toServer.reset(Commands.REQ_GREET_ME);
                        out.writeObject(toServer);

                        fromServer = (Command) in.readObject();
                        if (fromServer != null) System.out.println(fromServer.getValue(0).get());

                        toServer.reset(Commands.REQ_PLAYER_COUNT);
                        out.writeObject(toServer);

                        fromServer = (Command)in.readObject();
                        if (fromServer != null) System.out.println(fromServer.getValue(0).get());

                        //Here some more conversation based on user input...

                        //Handle exceptions  and finally...
    I hope that the code is self-explanatory.

    PR.

    Try to play with ObjectOutputStream.reset (). My understanding is that the same object to write to the stream of data twice causes some kind of optimisation whereby the second time that only a reference to the first serialized object is written. Reset() can cause the object to rewrite it completely in its new State.

    PS: Creating objects is cheap these days. Don't feel that you were running a premature optimization? I'm not saying you do, just be wary of him! You can already see a negative effect of it: more fragile code and more complicate.

  • Windows live mails in double - one of my accounts that I use on Windows Live Mail will receive twice the same email

    When I opened my laptop (always on), windows live mail will automatically connect and checks for new messages. I have 3 email accounts, but one of them receives the same e-mail twice. I contacted my ISP provider and was informed that the messages I get are only on the server once and that Windows Live Mail is the cause. I looked at the settings and therefore has a technician from my ISP and do not see why this is happening. Can anyone offer assistance.

    @Maksteel

    For beginners... Disable the following in the "Général" tab of Windows Live Mail (WLM) options

    1. to access the general tab--> WLM 2011/2012(Alt F O M) or WLM 2009 (Alt T O)

    -Send and receive messages at startup

    -Search for new messages every minute (s) ' x'

    2. make sure that the account receive duplicate emails is not configured to leave a message on the server (default of WLM is to "leave a message on the server)

    3. continue to use WLM by send and receive in manual mode, if no duplicates re-enable each item one time and repeat the test for the cause.

    If reconfiguration is not working... Post your question in the forum of answers from Microsoft Mail and make sure that you include the type of e-mail account (Pop3, IMAP, Http) with the double problem.  Note: If IMAP double-check your configuration in your web account interface. FYI... recommended are the WLM versions for each operating system: XP (2009), Vista (2011), Windows 7/Windows 8 (2012)

  • Two synchronized USRPs receive the same sine wave emitted by an another USRP, there is a phase shift random and obvious between the signals received from the 2 receivers

    Hello world!

    First of all, I use a USRP as a transmitter to emit a sine wave (the signal is exp(j2*pi*f*t)), and then I use the external clock to synchronize the two USRPs (Ref as PPS in are connected to the clock) as receivers. Receivers are in sync, and they are at the same distance from the transmitter, I thought that the signal they receive should have a nearly the same phase. However, in practice, the phase shift is big enough, and this problem really confuses me.

    It's the received signals of 2 receivers.

    Yes. What you observe is expected.

    Near the bottof of this document read the area 'alignment Phase vs Phase coherence '.

    http://www.NI.com/white-paper/14311/en/

    And also, for the alignment phase, see the following 'Angle of arrival detection with NI USRP '.

  • Receive the same message several times, and does not receive any other emails.

    Using Outlook Express, I got the same email, while I can't receive any other emails of revenue due to downtime. I increased the time to 5 minutes.

    The file that retains a number of messages downloaded probably has been corrupted.  Remove the pop3uidl.dbx file (hidden) and see if that fixes the problem.

    I am not receiving emails to my original via the address via gmail. Previously, either about a week ago, I received the e-mail from my original address but now am not. Maybe a very simple solution, but as a complete technophobe I don't know where to turn! Any help appreciated. Thank you very much.

    original title: loss of emails

    Try to access the web interface and see if you can see all the messages from there.  Otherwise, you may contact gmail to see if they can solve the problem.

  • Receive the same e-mails on a continuous basis. I now have in my copies of six mailboxes of identical emails for a total of 305 messages.

    I have recently updated from vista to Windows Live Mail 2011, the problem is that I keep getting the same emails on a continuous and well I have delete the mail it back. I now have in my copies of six mailboxes of identical emails for a total of 305 messages. Even if I delete the same e-mails continue to come back. I reinstalled windows 2011 mail and the problem seems to have worsened. How this can be resolved. The same emails keep on coming and now total 353 emails.

    You are not using Windows Mail, you use Windows Live Mail.

    I have 2 phones on my ID Apple how can I keep the two devices to receive the same iMessages?

    How to use several devices iPhone, iPad or iPod with a computer

    Using more an iDevice on the same computer

    This mainly applies to couples who add another device and don't want their electronic mail, messages, etc. being duplicated on both devices. To start reading: How to use several iPhone, iPad or iPod devices with one computer. You must create a login separate Apple and password for anyone who will use the new iDevice. See Apple - my Apple ID and frequently asked questions about the Apple ID. The easiest way is to do it on the computer using iTunes: iTunes - how to set up an Apple ID iTunes.

    On the computer, create a new user account for the person with the new iDevice. This is the user account always uses this person. He or she will no longer use the other user account. This way the person will have a separate iTunes library. Note When finished, do not 'share' apps under a single Apple ID. Each of you must buy your own applications under your own Apple ID. When you decide to divide like this you will have to buy new applications they want to use.

    First, transfer the new devices to a new account as well as all your data.  Save pictures of flow picture you want to keep for your camera (unless they are already in the camera roll) by opening your Photos app, tap Albums icon at the bottom. Now press the album My Photo Stream; Press Select; tap the photo you want to select. tap the share (box with the face up arrow) in the lower left corner icon; in the film, and then click Save.

    If you synchronize notes with iCloud, you want to keep, you must open each of your notes and email it to yourself. Later, you can copy and paste the text into the new notes created in your new account.

    Tap Settings > iCloud > remove account (removes it only from this device, not iCloud; the person who maintains the current account is not affected) provide the password to disable find my phone and choose to keep on my iDevice when prompted.  Sign in with another Apple ID to create your new account. Choose merge to download your data.

    Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to icloud.com and remove data from the other person to your account.

    The above was created by the user randers4. Changes were made to improve the readability and the syntax.

  • Thunderbird guard receives the same message.

    On an old desktop PC, always under XP with AVG free antivirus. I let my AVG computer can be updated at night. All of a sudden Thunderbird had received the same message over 200 times. It took a while to remove them all, and now I must leave off Thunderbird so it will not continue to receive this message. It is a message from my sister that contains a few attached images, photos from his camera, and the webmail message appears only once. I change not all configurations, except after this problem started, updated to Thunderbird 31.6.0 to 31.7.0. Any ideas?

    Try to remove the message via webmail or move it to a different folder on the server.
    It is highly unlikely that the update of TB is the cause. It is more likely Avast is playing with Thunderbird files.
    So the Thunderbird profile folder should not be scanned by anti-virus software.
