  That update is SQL server 2005 service pack 4, it is not something that is required in XP and you would probably do anything related to SQL server if you do not need, just so don't install it.

  Just go in the Panel. Programs and features and then click on the left of "view installed updates" and find Windows Internet Explorer 9, and then you can uninstall it.  You should know that it is installed automatically via Windows Update, so you'll need to keep it to be reinstalled.  I think you can go Windows Update manually, and then it will ask you, then you can't deny it there and it should stick.

  First, disconnect all the external devices connected to the computer, and then try to start and check what is happening.   Since Windows XP, in the last several versions of Windows, there are many changes for the names and locations of some Windows system folders .

  OK, I've corrected this BS... found the preferences > language setting by looking at the old installation on laptop... pick any other random language, restarted Lightroom and was in Italian...
